Two different "sets of points". "Power level" is focused on narrative play. You pay a power level points value for each unit. Broad brushstroke.

For matched play, you have full granular points for model, upgrades, etc.

Holy Terra.

And TWO sets of points, power level (simple for narrative, without upgrades costs) and a matched play system with weapons points.

Two different ways to point the army:

Power level - more for Narrative, less granular, sounds more like AoS where upgrades aren't taken into account.

Matched Play - current 40k style where models/weapons/upgrades all costed.

Two different set of points value. Power Level, focused on narrative play. Get playing quickly, equipment doesn't matter as much as the actual unit.
Matched Fights, pay for units, equipment. Same ol, same ol.

Two different ways to point your army.

Power Level points: Focused on narrative play. Doesn't care what they are equipped with.

Matched play points like now, were you pay for your weapons and such.

My guess:

Basic Rulebook
General's Handbook
Codex: Imperium
Codex: Chaos
Codex: Xenos

2 different points sets:

Power Level which balances your armies (but is focused more towards narrative). Very broard strokes, no granular options for wargear.

Matched Play: Points for model, and wargear.

The factions on the website are just narrative roll-ups, not definitive army compositions.

They said Marines are in Imperium.

Game will evolve via community feedback.

Free rules will be digital. Stores and indys have limited printed supply on launch.

Lol Tau are fethed given the bile about them from a large number of the comunity.

Wow aparently all xenos players are fethed it looks like.the Marine worries are in charge.

Community Feedback doesn't mean "the community writes the rules"

It will be like Age of Sigmar where rules are clarified and units are re-costed based on power

I really would not have suspected that to not be the case.

Weapons sound very much like AoS - multidamage for big guns!

-Vehicles and Monsters both have changing stat lines as they take damage. Works the same way. Sounds like it will work alot like the monsters in AoS.
-No stat is capped at 10.
-Heavy weapons will start doing multiple wounds to make them better at killed monsters/tanks.

edit: Knights have alot of wounds lol.

Heavy weapons do multiple dmg to vehicles as opposed to bolters etc.
But every weapon can dmg vehicles.

From what they said I expect Imperium and then one for each chaos god. Xenos with free get you by list left swinging in the wind.

Looks like someone on the board noticed fw and bl's HH series.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis
