LennyS... in you pic with the Thunderhammer is this just a white prime base with wash only and details added? I like the shoulder pad graduation.

Precisely, normal spray white primer followed with 1-2 washes of Devlan Mud. I pull the brush over the raised edge of the rim to get a better build up, and that is it really. Then like you say pick out the details. Hope that helps.

Here are the latest additions to my unit. From left to right: Brother Reven from the Blood Angels given to me by Battle Brother Lucifer, Brother Nefas from the Sinners given to me by An00bis, and Brother Jaska from the Marines Chrysemys given to me by Ramos Asura. I am currently working on my marine for Lucifer, I had a WIP picture but it came out fuzzy. That should be done in the next few days, at least that's the plan.

I have the base for Sageheart's Daughters (Son) of Geddon, as well as a basecoat on the model. I think it will be a very fine model when it is done in spite of my usual diffidence vis constructing bases, when I'm doing work for someone else, it seems I hold myself to a higher standard than 'high tabletop'.

Here's a quickie of near-completed base: (this is the second base I've done that had more than paint on it. Really. I've never even flocked a base).

If it was the sword arm please check if there was any metal flaking, I'll give you the recipe for the green if needed Still haven't got you'r marine, but the PO is closed over the weekend so monday or tuesday should be it..

You know... one of the neat, funny little things about the package was the box that the doom eagle was in. While we certainly have CF bulbs here in the states, I've never seen a "bayonet cap" light bulb before. Are those common in your neck of the woods?

I also enjoyed the "baby socks" box... nice touch. *grin*

Yeah, bayonets increasingly the norm. Ah, battle-ready lightbulbs! As for the socks: meh, I have a four month old, it is a machine for turning money into poo. I may as well take advantage of this. Glad you like the stuff, anyway.

I made a trade with Artsoldier35 last week, but it was orks instead of marines. After the trade I got to thinking about doing an ork swap thread. Marines are cool and I have a small army of them but I'm an ork at heart. whalemusic360 told me there was some ork swapin already goin on in this thread. With the large volume of hits on the tread it wouldn't be a bad idea to throw a line out there and see if I get a nibble or 2. So if anyone wants to trade some orks I'm ready just let me know.

I can vouch for Schank. This mini is way better in person than the pic. It was this thread that inspired me to approach him for the trade in the first place. C'mon guys, let's get some green skin trading going on in here also. It would extend the life of this thread so others could maybe catch up on their marine trades and continue on.
