@FrozenBeard: Whoa, wait, what? You've been in the hobby for 18 months and come up with something like THAT? Phew, thanks for making the rest of us bad -- that Kolek Suneater conversion is simply amazing.

Spectacular stuff, mate! I don't want to imagine what you'll be up to after a few years in the hobby...

Thanks for the kind words. My day job involves a lot of fine motor skill looking through a microscope so I found the brush control and sculpting skills pretty easy to learn. Kholek was my first conversion and I enjoyed it a lot.

I still have lots to learn though and at the moment I'm better at copying other peoples work than creating my own colour schemes etc from scratch!

Ok, here's another minor conversion I've made. I bought this metal Sorcerer with Force Sword because I like his design
(mainly because Sorcerers from the first Dawn of War were designed after this model). Everything was fine,
but I really wanted him to have a staff, so I made him one. I've cut his arm off (cutting metal, ugh, hard job)
and replaced it with spare hand of the space wolf (haha, space wolf hand used in the model of thousand sons sorcerer...).
After that I've made a staff out of dark eldar bits which my friend gave me and some green stuff.

Here's a Chaos Lord / Wight King I converted up recently.

There's a story behind this one; I won the original model as a consolation prize for coming last place in a fantasy tournament. I was running a fluffy Vampire Counts list with no vampires in it, just Wight Kings and various ghosts/skeletons. So I got this vampire-looking guy with instructions to put 'blender lord' vampires in my lists if I wanted to beat everyone.

Ended up converting him into another Wight King.

Dunno if this is my "best" but its my most recent, and I'm rather proud of it. It's the count as Wulfen for my storm-wardens ( Space highlander ) army. Since storm wardens obviously cant become wulfen I had to figure out how to make them seem more feral so I decided to go the Foresworn / berserker look. I hope you all like it, if you do check out my thread for more!

It's taken a while (over 8 months) but I have finally finished my conversion of a SM Predator into a (Mad) Scientist Predator.
Too many little changes to list here, some are more obvious than others.
Major changes include a full interior, scratch-built sponsons and a scratch-built dozer blade / plough.
The guns are all movable and the hatches open and (mostly) close.
Includes homages to both H. R. Giger and Rik Mayall in the painting.

I present to you, T-01:

They're still in process of being painted, but these two are my best so far. The scorpion was assembled without a pin vise, which sucks because it could be so much more dynamic.

Hehe, wrote a term paper on him last year. One of my all time favorite artists as well. His conceptual work on the original Dune series was amazing.

I find Giger and Lovecraft to be a bit of an influence on my own art as well. I REALLY like that dozer blade.

Also, here is an overview shot of my current project. All conversions, though half a dozen are just simple weapon swaps. Click and zoom for a better view.

Yeah, that would have made a awesome film (although perhaps without the worms giving blowjobs to giant penises ). I really like his Biomechanical work and the New York landscapes. Just the level of detail is incredible. And then trying to recreate that, in-scale, on my tank, really gave me a whole new respect for his work.

I find Giger and Lovecraft to be a bit of an influence on my own art as well. I REALLY like that dozer blade.
Thanks. That is one of two dozers I made that will fit the tank (I still need to finish the other one). They were quite difficult scratch-builds.
