Thanks FireDrake!

Went out and bought another 2 of these cases. Got a total of 5 of them now for model storage. I did some testing with the pluck foam and figured I can get about 10 rhino chassis into one case:

I didn't see where you could mail-order those... looked like they had to be picked up in person?

Those cases are pretty cool , and look so much more "sophisticated" than walking round with a GW case !

Sorry Gits, it's in store only as far as I can tell and they're a Canadian store...

For sure! They look a lot like case for pro camera equipment.

Progress on painting has been slower lately. Just finished up a small 5 man combat squad with full magnetized arms. Models are built with what I felt looks cool, not what's legal in game.

Very pretty egg. Like we'd expect anything else. I love the organic way the colors play across the surfaces of your power weapons.

Looking good, first thing that came to mind on seeing the second picture of the full squad was "lets dance" on a serious note, lovely job. Looking forward to seeing the next thing in the pipe

Nice, very smooth! They look like they could be a veteran squad - Sternguard or Vanguard maybe? How do you apply the blue ink to the backpack and achieve that nice smooth gradient to the silver? I'm guessing not by airbrush on such a small area?

Thanks Luther! Yup, they can be kitted out to be some kind of vets. I actually did the blue ink by airbrush. Just masking some key areas but over all it's mostly just point and shoot

Cool thanks for the tip! Just shows how that little bit of extra effort pays off in the finished result!

Eggroll, do you still prime with the Duplicolor Rust color? I bought a can, but reading the fine print, it says it will fill in cracks and scratches; does this pose a problem for minis? Also, do you spray straight from the can or do you decant into a cup and then airbrush it on? I'm preparing for the first use of my airbrush on one of my Dad's cheap plastic train buildings, and though it is cheap, I'd rather get it right the first time. Just don't tell him I'm doing this...

Can you explain the watered down opaque red you stated (on page 1!) Which you painted on all the surfaces? Did you use it like a wash for the whole model and painted it with a brush? Could you just use gw red wash for the same effect?

Also can you give advice as to how you did the metals on your land raider crusader? Great stuff!

Haha actually I will be soon. No promises but I've been itching to add to my BA army for awhile now. Will see what happens later this month. If anything I'll take a progress pic of all the models I've stockpiled over the last two years

I don't use the red filter anymore. It was shot through my airbrush and was really watered down but I didn't find it all that useful so I ended up dropping it from my painting process. The metallics I did using a black undercoat followed by metallic layer which is then shaded with blue and black ink through the airbrush.
