Well I do like compliments - But no I'm not quite happy with it because its just a bit wonky and messy - I think if I try again a few times it will turn out better. Its been ages since I tried to draw a battle scene on a 2cm square!

But the basic composition is sound - it must be cos I copied it from GW's original Yarrick flag!

The claw is wonderful, that lightning effect is amazing.

And retail work, yeah, i've been there, hated working the shop floor and tills, stock room was a great place though - fun times

Lol. Manager's suck - I get on with a lot of them but if one has it in for you you have to be tough and hope that they quit of their own accord or get fired for some reason.

I don't get to go in the stock room anymore ruglud I'm tills now - But we used to have fun. My old boss used to put a web of tape over the door frame and then use the radio to call the deputy managers

Good good. If I win a prize it'll be great, I've never won a prize for anything, ever (a tiny violin playing just for me can now be heard).

I think the only times I've won anything for painting was when I was entering to make up the numbers in a category, so there was at least a top three...

I did manage to accidentally win a WM tournament several years ago, and a release event for a L5R set, but that's about it.

Its always struck me that if I lived in the USA and had access to guns I probably would have double - nay triple - tapped the manager - unless other staff got there first. It must be a terrible temptation having all those guns...

Please don't see this as an invitation to restart the gun control debate in my blog.

Well we have here many old folks... Too old it seems to recall how they wanted to play in their youth...it really was all I could do to not go Neanderthal on him... I had three kids with me that were just enjoying themselves... No harm done... But that fella is like a lawn manager...

We also have a lot of old folks and some of them can get quite stroppy about the lawns. Most are fine though and in many ways its better than living on an estate full of younger people - old folks have less all night parties - I feel like a hypocrite as it was only a few years ago that I was the one making the noise and bringing the drunks home!

I know that feeling too... Two days ago during nap time for my kids workers started chopping down a tree in said backyard... I was quite furious then... And on Saturday night's neighbors have allnighters parties too and now I sit on the other side of the trench....

I am reminded of the huge, all-night parties we held at our apartment in college. It's amazing our apartment wasn't fire-bombed by our neighbors early on some Sunday morning. The worst we ever got was our upstairs neighbors banging on the floor (our ceiling).

Oh, I can assure you, there is gun control in place, I went to get a shotgun the other day and had to make sure I had 2 proofs f residing in WV for them to even consider selling me the thing. Trigger lock was also involved as there is a soon to be inquisitive 8yr old(he is ending his 7th yr and getting older) in the house. Gun safe and such. So getting a gun of any kind legally one must jump through many hoops, hand guns especially, it is the illegal guns and the nutters or criminal minded that are a bad mix. Most of the crimes committed are handgun related. some are or were modified assault rifle related. I can no longer fight hand to hand as I used to, so a home defense shotty is all I want and a decent rifle for some deer or game taking. Just wish it was at least as hard for the criminals to get guns as it is for honest, law abiding folks.

Anyway, back to Yarrick!

For my sins, I'm an operations manager now (not in retail) and I'm sure that i annoy the hell out ofmy staff at times, just hope it doesn't get to the point where they're hiring a hitman though... It can be lonely at the top

Wow... you have a really beautiful style.

So you undercoat black and preshade with drybrush before layering and washing?

Nothing new but you execute it so wonderfully. I will be watching.

Yeah pretty much - I actually prime white and then use several layers of P3 armour wash, and then drybrush etc. Seems to work for me! Thanks.

I've even adopted Weety's method for terrain, 'cept I've been using really light grey primer rather than white.
