nice to spot the old 2nd ed SM Rhino Hatch coming into use there Vik... at least, thats what it looks like on my screen

at loot...i think you are very close, cant say for sure as i got this from my bitzbox and that one came from ebay a long time ago...

The only reason I say that is because I have a fair handful of said Rhinos in various states of disrepair, painted red and orkified by their previous owner.....
Maybe one day I will salvage them, but as Aragorn once said "But it is not this day!!!"

as i am now updating in fact the flyer and my hero model in one go...


painting is commencing atm...yeah right...!

i´ve primed already both models...after some serious detailing took place!

the shield of captain victory was totally redone... it got new cogteeth as shown earlier... these later on i trimed down to a better looking er...look... and also i added a doubled amount of rivets for the rivet apreciaters out there

the flyer got some rivtes and some other technological gimmicks as well... see for yourself... with a bit of luck i will get this bay basecoated within the week too^^

i am still thinking about the insignia... atm the easiest way is the air recognition of the RAF... but dave´s link for free handing the lion´s rampant is also nice.... tho i have my doubts if i am painter enough for this one...

also at graven... i wanted to add the winged "V" as like on the first shileds try... but i couldn´t get it off and making a new one failed three times ...grrrrr^^

The shield is so much better this is one great conversion I so cant wait to see the paint scheme, how about a hand doing the victory sign easy sculpt job do it like the SM type fist emblem.

It seems like I am rebuilding it just a lot happening bathroom well en-suit downstairs toilet, kitchen, hallway, master bedroom and the man cave which looks like a bomb hit it ouch got to stop doing that.

The UFO has been started I have you know it was trying to work out a landing gear design that stumped me I think I worked something out but had the wrong size rod

Once this stuff gets sorted I am going mental with my hobby, I will be starting separate threads yes more than one 3 in total so stick that in your pipe and smoke it

that sounds cool... but i bet this will still take a while till you get to that point... sounds really straining what you are doing atm... why so now all of a sudden? did you inherit a ridicouls amount of money? or won in the lottery? rebuilding stuff at home is a costy hobby as much as modeling...and sometimes even more so^^

and you bet you will notify me when you start new threads... or you´re in for a good kickin´!

Flyer looks really cool and new cog shield looks the biz. A "V" for Vik-tory would look good there.

hmm... maybe just the union jack?
or a kind of victorian-esque letter "V"? (curves at the ends or some such... I know what I mean )
RAF symbol would be easy, but then, it is the RAF... and your captain isn't a pilot...

No one thing was an insurance job we had the in feed pipe burst so that was the kitchen and dinning room retiled as the floor was ruined underneath, then we got some PPI back (miss sold insurance) so we are doing the en suit and down stairs toilet.

The rest was all work ing progress or needed doing so, but yes the costs piles up less fun money but once it gets done it finished

Then its HOBBY TIME I can build this "dancing like mc Hammer"

Can you guess what the three threads will be ?

If I may be frank, I think Captain Victory deserves a bit more effort on his right arm. One can't just stick a stock SM arm/weapon combo on, IMHO.
