oK.. sTATISTICALLLY, 3 minutes is the average Overtime. US vs. Portugul - we had 5 minutes and got tied in the last minute. I assure you, the entire Country (and bar) was groaning in unison in the last minute.

I've seen plenty of 5 minute extra times, but generally when there has been a serious injury that delays play. Ah well, soccer if the game of the future in the USA... and it always will be. Or so the joke goes.

Head Lice... treatable. You'll get the young 'un sorted out. Normally around here though, when a child shows up in school with head lice, the school will send out a letter to all the parent's warning them and giving the usual advice about treatments. Is that not the case in Germany?

I have to say Vik, I think you've really raised your game on this one. I think it's on track (or rather, half-track) to be one of your finest pieces yet. Very impressed.

Lice, cheap and effective is a alcohol wash of the head it instantly dehydrates the lil buggers

Oh and buggy friends, it is one of those things that are inevitable in life, my wife swears by, LOTS of conditioner and comb through every night for a few days. Repeat about a week later.

^ Cam beat me to the bunch there on the lice thing. Most of these magical treatments stink to high heaven and don't do a thing.

Oh and "soccer" is growing so fast in US because Mummy (MOM) prefers it to American Football, because it is less harmful and violent. Also it's more acrobatic as they will learn to dive.

Soccer is only a growing sport in America because of soccer moms .

You could have very ones hair off to try and get rid of the lice too , I threaten my kids with that every now and again, no lice needed. When they say they'll shave my hair off I laugh an tell them to get the clippers quick because its all falling out anyway .

sadly the clear top is all gone...it had to go eventually... although what a wonderful view it would had allow us on all that interior details I made...
as for the lice... well after we were sure we put the exterminates on his head... his younger brother grew another colony on his head... but that got the terminates as well... now if we only had a second washing machine....arghhhhhh

there have been some odd decisions in this world cup already... and many a blind eye of referees...the last games we watched... against England and Italy... there was so much pulling and downright unmanly play of costa rica and Uruguay... it was hurtful to see great teams loose against such hairpulling peeps...

the school of my kids is very strict... it is a private school also and thus makes up its own rules... very strict ones... but I think it works for everyone... and yes we went already with everyone to the doc to see if all got the righteous smashing these lil bugs deserved... and for now it seems we are indeed again on top of the dilemma... my son oskar got also lice but was treated with some oil ointment to kill off everything and slept with it on his head the whole night through... and it worked... now we just need to do a second treatment to be sure and safe...REMEBER! ALWAYS DOUBLE TAP!!!

it is indeed high praise you give me here... but I too think this one is more close to some RL vehicles thus it looks more fit to actually exist... even if it is huge in comparison...

well... I am with you, alcohol is one of the main ingredient for many different medicines against lice... but with young kids this is not only smelly and thus makes it complicated to use with kids... as they just don´t want to use that smelly stuff... but also is risky... try to get alc in your eyes for once and you know what I am talking about... and thanks mate... it got even redder... but I will show that tomorrow with some daylight pics!

conditioner...hmmm.... interesting idea... we have of course a lice comb... that probably goes without saying... and daily searches and like I said a double tap this weekend hopefully will make this family once again a safe haven... but not for bugs

stench seems essential it seems... we went for a physical treatment... it´s an oil that gets into the breathing system of the lice´s and fills every pore so the breathing is not possible... suffocation is the end result... but it curiously still has alcohol in the formuly...???...

well... I recently got rid of all my top hair... so no harm on my head currently... and our young oskar is such a sweat lil redhead... his har is very long... many peeps call him a girl... but he is proud about his mane... so we are double interested to keep his hair long and free of any bugs... but I said if all went arseup it may be needed to get rid of the hair... and he went: it will grow again... man...I had tears in my eyes when I heard that... he is now also officially six years old as of today... Saturday will be the kids party...sheesh... and the weathergods are currently not in our favour...

also as this thread is not only about a bugs life ...I will leave this here apropos of nothing....

20??? you´re mad... or I would... even tho we both work with and for kids... but that would be enough kids to send us into a asylum...... thanks for the well wishes tho^^
we originally planned some water based games outside... with for super soaker guns and water balloons and such things... but it seems we need to celebrate inside...
we still plan to do a treasure hunt even if it is inside... the kids always love these... we take small cameo pics of well known spots and these lead through the treasure hunt... it is all the hype the last years...
and indeed I wanted to do monochrome screens... just like in the eighties

Scare quotes Cam? Lol. Soccer is just a short way of saying Association Football. We use soccer as a way of introducing our children to sports in general, and team sports. Also it requires less co-ordination to run and kick than run and throw ( I think this is the case, but I could be wrong.) it seems less harmful and violent until you see a group of 6 years pack around the ball and just start kicking and kicking. Those little feet of fury... So poorly aimed. My shins ache at the thought But it was a fun sport to play.

I hear that t he real reason for its growth in popularity is the increase in immigrants from Central and South American where soccer is el deporte de reyes-- the sport of kings.

The console looks sweet. No BSOD though? Have you ever seen fluorescent acrylic paint? You could get some cool effects with that on the console screens. Something to consider.

well... we´ll meet with some friends to watch the game tomorrow... that will probably be the best... feasting together and yelling at the telly

and no... no blue screen of death took me a while to get that after all this is the british army... they´re not used to such things

fluorescent acrylic paint... never came across this... yet... I plan on some new stuff soonish... that might get the chance to appear now in my shopping cart...

the biting stuff curiously I didn´t see... we were game hopping probably at that time... from englands game to the Italian game and so forth... but I now have seen some articles about that scene... seems the guy took some courses of Tyson then

I also used scorpion green which is pretty bright on some basecoats too... but glow in the dark or at least neon color would be pretty nifty too for that use...hmmm...

oh and I think you even need better coordination skills kicking and running /aka dribbling than running and throwing... as you have then two separate moving limbs that do different stuff then one pair of legs doing two jobs at once...basket ball for instance I think is easier than foot ball... but volley ball even more as most of the times you react only with your arms to the ball...(well at least in the second row anyways...^^)

well some European countries already got rid of that stupid concept... I think Russia did that already... and here in Germany there is talk about getting rid of summer and winter time too...hopefully this will happen... it always plays hop with our kids sleeping time and my whole bio rhythm too....

well...today the big day... well for most of humanity... me... I was spending the days hours in an ER... yeah..... at first my wife crashed into the pavement with her bicycle...(nothing broken or disturbed..."just" bruises and scratches...) then... before the game could start for me... my lil oskar full of enthusiasm fell of the last steps of the stairs when we wanted to got to some friends for watching the game... well he almost broke his small right hand finger... damn... what a day... so we went back to the ER... a second time in one day for me...where is bones when I need him???... he is a lil bit swollen but up an running... and I even got to see the final whistle blow of the game... saw many fouls and nice crashes in a replay.... seems the US team doesn´t need any oponents for any fouls...

well back to the hobby side of life...
