That's not exactly a great argument against the game, that's like buying a 40k game an complaining that the setting is grim dark.
I've been playing the stick of truth for a bit but I just can't get into it. I've never been a huge south park fan and the gameplay is average at best so there really is nothing there for me too enjoy.
I've just started palying through Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD. The updated visuals are nice and the game is still as solid as ever. Never played X-2 so I'm super eager to plow through X and maybe even 100% it.

I'd play it if I could play skaven normally. I know you can somewhat play skaven but I'd prefer them to work just like everything else. They could have done a 1vs1vs1 battle of greenskins, skaven and dwarfs but it didn't happen (then again considering it was destruction vs order that could make sense). I suppose what destroyed my interest is I didn't really like any of the represented factions for the most part. I'd probably change my mind if I was playing a dark elf character but I'm not sure.

Picked up Dragon Age because it was on sale. The game's not as bad as i thought it was and the visuals especially are actually pretty good, far better than what i remembered.
I also like that you play an origin story, adds an instant meaningful reason to replay the game.
The combat is fairly crummy and pretty unresponsive but i appreciate the fairly robust character tactics.
Finally the dog the warrior gets is pretty cute. This is Speaking as someone that finds little in gaming as satisfying as killing virtual mutts. (Despite a non-lethal Playthrough of Dishonoured i still took great care to kill all the Dogs ).

^I didn't play it much, but it seemed decent. I didn't like having to switch the camera angle around to optimize it for exploring/fighting, i'm more used to the older BG style top-down style games... but it was tolerable. The mage was really flexible, though I'd say they gave you enough rope to hang yourself. I was doing alright, but it seemed like it would be pretty easy to pick uncomplimentary skills. Might try it again later.
Trying to get my idroid snakebyte controller thingie playing well with D3 so I can use my laptop/tablet thing and play it in the livingroom sometimes. It's rough going, they bound the mouse move to the right stick.. would have thought it should be the left, and the placement of the clicks is weird because of where they put the mouse move. May start a new character and learn both together, may scrap the idea, I don't like D3 enough to try TOO hard.
Will probably pick up some point and click games I've stopped playing. Was thinking FTL but there's an awful lot of right-clicking in that so I'll have to find a solution for right clicks.

He apparently has no taste. Probably finds Family Guy to be "more intelligent" and "better thought out" too. Matt and Trey also have one of the most successful musicals on broadway at the moment-do you really want their genius and talent torched? Taste=0. It's one of the longest running cartoons of all time, compared to Simpsons. If it was trash, it would have died out long ago. You're entitled to your opinion, but the facts prove it to be wrong. I for one find the South Park game to be more than a little repetitive and kind of generic as an RPG. But with levels like "Perform an abortion inside a gay man's a**, I just can't stop.
I find it hilarious. Everything about South Park is satire, it's just also very filthy and crass at the same time. The game is worth a rent imo.

I find that South Park mixed some great witty humour with some very low brow toilet humour. I like the former a lot and the latter less so, though it can still be amusing in smaller doses.
That said its extremely popular and I not everyone has to have the same taste as me.
That said I think that people should be burned slowly and painfully especially due to creating a cartoon you don't like is abhorrent.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"How do you kill one that has no life?"
Ha that just seems pretty relevant with the whole south park anger going on.
I'll admit south park can at times be kind of crap but it has moments both hilarious and many that seem to make sense. Quite a few people seem to think 'south park' hits the nail on the head with a bunch of issues including the answers to each.
As far as family guy goes I can't even believe that sh*t still exists. It was decent once but that was before it came back. Maybe it would've been better if it had never been resurrected at all. Robot chicken is infinitely better than 'family guy' currently is. A friend of mine said robot chicken got worse though which is honestly very sad. I'd still prefer to watch it over a lot of shows though esp. considering they seem to show a knowledge of video games and nerd culture for people of my age instead of back during the old Atari days. I mean h*ll I'd probably play a game in the robot chicken universe where you play as one of their own created characters or your very own going through their various parody universes.
------------------
Back on topic I think south park is great but it's episodes are hit or miss. Some things get ridiculous acclaim which seem to be less about merit and more because south park did it. Imagination-land was one of the last multiple part specials I enjoyed. The cthulu thing with BP drilling everywhere was funny the first episode and then dragged on with little to no humor afterwards.
What I found sad is that when 'futurama' came back they seemed to go from decent to progressively getting better and better till the show was better than it was at any point before it went off air. I'm kind of sad to see it go and the last episode was more touching than funny but it ended on a good note. I suppose some could say in a sense it fulfills being an end for the show while still possibly allowing for it to continue if they so felt it needed it.

Playing Supreme Commander Forged Alliance now.
What I like about the campaign is that you start off with all of your tech unlocked and more. In most other expansions it's the typical "slow build up" where the game gradually gives you tech as you progress. In SCFA they give you everything right off the bat (however, the enemy AI gets everything as well!)

DDO wanted me to install some third party crap on my system, and while I'm not paranoid enough to label it as malware, I don't appreciate having my resources hogged by that sort of thing so I've stopped playing.
I enjoyed the game though, so I've decided to check out LOTRO.
Hmmm. Overall I like it, though it is closer to WoW (which I don't enjoy) than DDO.
I like it mostly because I am a huge Tolkien fanboy, and the ability to wander around middle earth is just too much fun.
The environments have a lot of love put into them, and they do feel quite distinct.
Probably the only thing that really bugs me (apart from the tedious running back and forth to finish quests) is the bits where I am involved in the "main plot" of the books so to speak. I don't really like seeing those scenes done with some cheap voice acting and so on, and I dislike taking quests from Aragorn and so on- it feels wrong, to me.
Still, I'm sure that floats someone else's boat, so I'm willing to let it slide.
Anyone else play LOTRO?

^Seems like a neat enough world to explore, but they should have juked the time frame by a number of years so that you were exploring the world and not just participating in the mmo of the books/movies. If nothing else, they should at least put you on the sidelines or running different yet still important quests. A cameo by a notable figure seems fine, but for them to be quest givers or for you to go and do actual events from the books or movies.. meh. I'd prefer it another way.
Think I'm gonna kick around some more Icewind Dale 2. Got an Asus Transformer Book cause my main rig is getting old and I've wanted something portable for awhile (read that as: I never get to go to my office/computer/hobby room thanks to tiny toddler master, so I got a laptop/thing so I could do anything ever ). It can be a tablet, but they keyboard dock is almost too useful to live without. For actual gaming... well it can play games... but for a game that's playable while reclining on the couch and utilizes the interface options available to me... Something nice and simple like IWD/BG/NWN will do.
I've got it to run diablo3, I'll play that sometimes, but I've got to use my iDroid snakebyte controller and they mapped that thing really weird. It's amazing for, say, a psx emulator, and it having a mouse/keyboard function is swell... but they mapped the mouse move to the right stick. What? And the clicks are the top buttons (not triggers, or something even more sensible like the buttons on the right side...) oh well. I've gotten the interface to be playable, and on lower settings I don't see a lot of slowdown, so I may still play it. I may look up a wired controller sometime too, if I can find a good one that supports a mouse function like the idroid thingy.

But wanting to see them burned slowly and painfully seems a bit... 'extreme'. Some people like South Park and no one is forcing you to watch it. Still, you are forgiven, for you have Turisas as avatar.
I also tried playing the Stick of Truth, but my button mashing skills were not awesome enough to get past the anal probing part. And to be honest, I don't really dare to practice. Seeing the amount of curses I tend to throw around when things aren't going my way, there is a fair chance that my parents will come checking in on me, and how am I going to explain it to them? ''Oh hi dad.'' "What in Heaven's name I am doing? Well, nothing much really, I just need to succeed in anally violating this 9-year old in order to progress in the game, but it is really hard."? I don't think that is going to work My parents aren't really familiar with South Park
Another game I have recently picked up is Distant Worlds: Shadows. It is a really awesome 4X game, one of the best I've played.
