Just wanted to drop a line and say nice work! There is a lot to read through on this thread, but what I have seen so far has been fantastic.
Thank you for taking the time to share all this... inspires us newbie painters to keep at it, although at times I scratch my head at how awesome some people can get their paint jobs to look!

@Gits - Amen to that mate, little guy was hosing out his mouth anything we put into him, not a happy wee camper at all! Still he should have an iron stomach by the time he his pre-school! - Polio, I had that when I was 2, mumps? I have that for breakfast!
@Miss Dee - Agreed! There are some monster blogs in Dakka, Git's is one of the finer ones in my opinion
@Mad - Welcome man, glad you're taking the time to have a look at all the pictures and guides and don't worry a lot of why the models look so good is due to how their pictures are taken Btw I'm in Epsom in Auckland, I've been meaning to respond to your introduction post but time keeps evading me.
Update: Terminators done

Very pretty indeed! Edge highlights on the BA symbols are beautifully done. If I had one niggle it might be that there could be a little bit more edge highlighting on the kneepads and knuckles?

@Graven - Cheers mate, I had to make an executive decision about the armor, I could spend a day or two doing edge highlighting, or just use the airbrush and do a 45 degree and top down highlight and move on, I ended up going with the last method purely for speed, these five guys took about 7 days of 1 hour per day to do, so 7 hours total time from prime to finish which is fiendishly quick in my books and that could have gone out to 9 or 10 hours to do them. After all table top quality was what the client wanted, and its what he is getting
@Miss Dee - Many thanks
@Gits - First time doing a free hand BA symbol, I screwed up the assault cannon terminators pad so made it into a different style, looks ok to me
@M0rdain - Fair call, I'll remember that for when I go back to painting the sea of grey waiting for me
Update: last half of the Tac Squad started prime, airbrush and washed

Time has a habit of being evasive, especially when kids are involved!
I'm based on the North Shore in Glenfield.
Sorry for hijacking thread everyone.... back to the awesome paintjobs!

Knightley wrote: Oh nice, where do you usually game on the shore?
Most often with friends at mine or someone else's house. Struggling to find anywhere to play 40k on the shore. I am looking at heading towards ACG, as they seem to be only active place that has 40k going that I have been able to find thus far, but I'm busy with painting the army up currently and am really enjoying that!
I am loving the BA paint up, look great!

Knightley, as always you never fail to deliver! It's good to be back again Life got a bit busy for me as of late, though now there is a strange emptiness, an absurdly large gap between school work is weird...
Edited as double negatives aren't a good way to compliment someone... heh heh

@M.K - An emptiness that can only be filled by... more cowbell??
@Gits - Thanks
Update: Next up the DC, based black highlighted with a 2:1 Chaos Black/Administratum Grey then a 1:1 mix same color, then a black wash to complete the whole look. Interesting to note the nuln oil when applied thickly while dry white in some recesses, this has annoyed me greatly.

@Cap'n Facebeard - Agreed, the sun dial doesn't work for me, pretty sure a marine would have a watch to tell the time, not use his head.
@M.K - The whole sketch is hilarious if you can watch the whole thing do so!
Update: Quiet weekend, only did the washes
