Really beautiful and quite understated. To achieve that smooth subtle grey is a work of art.

That's looking just beautiful Knightley. How I've missed your refined touch on the GK.

@Nevelon - Thanks!

@Graven - Thanks mate, I really like the edge highlighting on this guy, the lines are so crisp

@KT - Thank you

@Januine - Cheers, I'll get him in to combat hopefully next Saturday against Mad!

@Wolvey - Thanks, appreciate the love for the squiggles

@Gits - You and me both buddy, I really missed painting marines.

@Zerg - Oh wow, that is some high praise indeed, I would have said that one of the Chaos lords or even the Fulgrim commission I did would have been my best work.

@hk1x1 - Thank you

Update: A small change of pace, going to try get through the edge highlighting on these AM tanks for MarsNZ, who knows perhaps I'll get bored later this year and want to fully finish the tanks? So finished the sponsons, and the magnetised weapon options for Pask and his offsider and almost finished the turret and a half of a chimera. Also to note, I hate edge highlighting Chimeras!

Very nice. I like the fact that you didn't overdo the lips with reddish tint.

@Gits - Thanks, I always worry about adding to much red to the mix and give them a night out on the town.

@Wolvey - Cheers, the modelling credit has to go to MarsNZ though, it was his idea

Update: another couple done

Heh, has Pask been hitting too many tanks with his sword arm again?

Skin work looks good... I might have to pick your brains on skin work before I embark on my Genestealer cult adventure.

The sling arm is nothing special it comes on the sprue for the infantry command squad. I figured he's been armwrestling with the regimental bullgryns again.

@CragHack - Welcome to the blog I was pretty happy with it and I suspect so was MarsNZ

@EDC - Nah, that guy is used to having people swoon all over him, he is a sexy beast hahah

@Mad - Happy to help man! I already have ideas that might work

@MarsNZ - don't discount it not being special, you can see a mile away he has that something special about him!

Update: last two chimeras done

Excited to see the battle report. I love guard tanks, such a treat to paint. They are coming along quite nice! I just hate doing the tracks!

I actually find tracks kind of easy, silver, wash, more silver done.

Update: Turrets and sponsons done, I did start on the body, but nothing really to show at this point

I've heard that the tracks on a Leman Russ are really a pain to assemble on the model compared to a Space Marine Rhino. Is that true?

The guard vehicles are very easy to assemble, the only tracks that caused me any problems were the Baneblade and that's likely due to my own error.
