Cheers Git's I'm quite fond of the Iron Priest, I do love the old school models. Yeah Lucy is very special indeed she's a real eye catcher

Thanks YB for such an old mini he came out really well. The older minis have so much more character something you dont get with plastic kits.

Now to go with the Iron Priest here's his first minions the servitors

The cyberdogs are going to be undercoated tonight ready for painting tomorrow, I still need to add pigments to the bases for the Iron Priest and Servitos but I'll do that once the dogs are finished as well.

The Kill Team is getting there and for once I'm well ahead of schedule as the tournament is in September Although I do need to think of two mission type models that you have to take with you. Ones an army commander so that's easy as I can use one of my terminators but the other needs to be a VIP model, something not in armour would be good but I cant think of anything or a model to use so any ideas would be appreciated.

Everybody else's blogs seem to have so many updates lately apart from mine

Well I'm ready to give you your weekly fix ,on a Saturday no less this week.

I finished doing the plants on my cyberdogs for my kill team this morning and cracked on and got some photos taken. I didnt want to leave the last dog out so he got painted up as well so he didn't feel left out of the pack. Sir not appearing in this kill team is number 3. They look a bit shiny but that's because I had to varnish them.

While I had the chance I also took a pic of the Kill Team kind of as a whole, well there in in the pic kind of.

Going forward I have some more Dark Wolves planned for a tournament at the end of October. I need to do another Long Fang Squad, 1 1/2 Grey Hunter packs and a couple of Hyperios Air Defence Platforms to go with my Quadd Gun for some serious anti air capacity.

But I dont have any of the models yet

So that leaves the rest of the month for some random things.

First is an objective type person for my Kill Team who should be ready to show tomorrow then something that arrived through my post box this morning to sell on ebay a Vampire Lord (CMON model), and the new Numen of Aerogenesis and Clockwork Angels from the Warmachine Convergence of Cyriss army. I was a bit surprised how many parts they come in so will start to assemble them tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks Moltar

I thought the dogs would be a different touch than including wolves as you would normally expect for the Imperial version.

Thanks NF09, also cheers for voting and leaving a really nice comment on Lucky Lucy

-----------------------------

Today, well last night I finished off the Corrupted Official which is a kind of objective in one of the Kill Team missions.

I also spent two hours this morning glueing the Warmachine Aurora model, was a right pain only too find when I went back to it a few hours later the super glue hadn't stuck to the metal properly and I could just pull the parts off So some new superglue is on order I have had this issue before where it was the metal so I'm hoping its not that as its not easy to get round. I know the glue still has a bit of stickyness still left as at one point I had the wings well and truly stuck to my finger

A bit late for that maybe, but that Kill Team is stunning !

If I had only one minor criticism, it is the left arm (SG bolter) from the Champion that looks a bit... out of place to me. On the pic it also looks lacking in terms of depth & shadows, compared to the rest of the team, so I find it the only downpoint...

Apart from that, top notch ! (Oh, and the "corrupted objective" is great too... Maybe push the highlights on the blue a bit further ?)

Thanks Ygg's

The champions arm is shaded to the same level as the rest of him I think it might be the angle, hmm not sure.

Yeah I should really go in for another round of highlighting on the corrupted objective guy, I must admit I did skimp out with only two levels of highlights rather than my normal three

Hi Solar

The Cyberdogs are from MAXMINI, they are quite nice models, one had a small air hole that had to be GS'd.

I got down and dirty with some Warmachine minis this weekend, below is my WIP Clockwork Angel she's nearly finished just need to add a bit more to the basing and tidy it up. The other two in the unit and plodding along behind her and should be showing an appearance next weekend and maybe I'll also get Numen of Aerogenesis done as well. They all have their metallics done and the Angels wings are done which is the bit that takes the longest (although Numen's arent ).

Yeah pics aren't great as we've had our two weeks of sun in the UK now, I'll try and get some better ones when the squads finished.

I've been having thoughts on a small Black Legion Force as well lately as the supplement is out now, haven't picked it up though but that wont stop me painting a hand full of Chosen, still not decided though, it wont happen till after I finish the Dark Wolves which have a tournament in October which I may have already said but I'm going senile so you will have to ignore me if so

Not so familiar with the WM range, which faction does that model belong to ?

He's looking good, I like how the light blue complements the yellow... Great !

I've finished off the Clockwork Angels and Aurora Numen today, I really struggled with her skin tones, for some reason I find it really hard painting clean skin tones that look good. I really need to practice more and find out what I'm doing wrong. I think its my bane and a bad one at that so any points and tips would be welcome

So here are the ladies of metal

I'm not sure what up next it will be more Dark Wolves but I've not ordered the models yet so could be something a bit random as I have the day off tomorrow.

Not an expert with flesh & skin tones...

Maybe darken the recesses with a coloured wash ? Like "ogryn flesh", "sepia", or "purple" ?

Thanks Ygg's I've tried the wash approach which is good for doing dark grimy 40k skin, its the other end of the scale I have issues with for painting scantly glad young ladies etc...

Thanks Git's really enjoyed painting them , cross your fingers that GW do new Swooping Hawk models this well when they get round to it..
