Nice job - when you mentioned the white highlights on red I was thinking you were going to hit it all with a red wash later. Glad you didn't, that's a pretty cool look you have there.

--------------------------------

Small update today as I've managed to put my shoulder out of action, its a right pain as I find it difficult to paint or play games on the computer and I've no idea how I done it either which is just as annoying.

I finished another Alguaciles for my Nomads though, just had the basing to do so it wasn't so bad. I have got myself caught up with the anticipation of the new Harlequin codex though and looked through my primed box as I have a few floating round. So they have some paint on them currently but nothing much to show as of yet .

Here's the Nomad Alguaciles.

Due to not painting much this weekend I may not have anything to show you next week, but we shall see.

--------------------

Got some old school 40k for you this week. I've had these guys floating round my painting area for ages but I kept putting them off as something more interesting would always come up. But now they are in the lime light I thought it would be a good time to find the brightest colours I have and let rip.

Harlequins ahoy .

Harlequin's

And the money shot...

I've also managed to paint an Infinity mini this weekend as well, I'm not sure how I managed that as well.

So we also have from the Nomad faction the Grenzer, Grenz Security Team

Yeah he's mostly black and grey, might explain it

And that's all for today folks

Ooh harlequins, really staving off the temptation to get some just for the painting fun they offer. Grenzer looks brutal, alas I got the PanO half of our O:I.

Thanks yeah the harlies made a nice break I'm going to have to pick some more up for a full troop. Grenzer is a bit lighter in real life but he looks very much like a sniper. I've got the PanO to do after these but I'm still undecided on what blue to use, any thoughts would help, preferably Vallejo. All my blues have been used on other armies so I'm looking for some thing different like how Angel painted them.

I started an Infinity blog ages ago but I've barely touched them since due to other projects etc. (excuses excuses), I've just been going off of Angels step by step guide from his facebook page which basically means vallejo. Looking at the paints in front of me that would be, 'blue green' and 'dark prussia blue', which are then mixed with white etc for shading.

Not much to update you on this weekend from my side, didn't get a chance to play with my paint brush.

I did get some things done though.

I tidied up and built all the models for my Man O War Dark Elf fleet, I now have too many but never mind.

Built the Latigo Posse for Malifaux which is the minis in front.

I also managed to prime some Relic Knights minis and my PanO O:I minis as well, just need to pick up a nice blue for them.

Also picked up and primed a bit of 40k terrain the imperial eagle piece.

I picked up the Lion Rampant rules from Ospery Wargames, heard a lot of good things about it, had a quick flick through and it seems quite good. You might see some Knights extra at some point.

Hmm other news keep seeing lots of rumors about WFB end times, there are chances that some items may go direct only or completely vanish. I'm on the edge about picking up the fantasy minis I want for Kings of War sooner so I can get them from discount stores but can't make my mind up

Small update today I have finished two minis but ones for a painting comp so I wont be able to show him until the end of the month.

The one I can show though is the Nomad Spektr that I finished today.

Only two more Nomads left to go but there is a distraction on the way so its going to be a race to see if I finish them before papa Nurgle drops his load on my door step.

I've put myself down as a reserve for a tournament in May and want to go all Nurgle which means lots of puss and goo over the coming months to look forward to. It's really good though as its kicked off my imagination again for 40k, that and the Harlie release.

I'm hoping to get the Nomads finished for Infinity but the PanO guys might be pushed back a bit in the painting list.

On the Nurgle front I'll be building 9 Oblits from Blightkings and two more squads of Plague Marines

Spektr is looking good, unfortunately the knife seems to have snapped off on ours, quite the fragile contact point.

Talk about timing on the nurgle-blits, just started painting my first five, definitely a good kit for it. Will look forward to seeing your horrid slimies appearing over the next few weeks.

I managed to finish the last two Nomads today, they didn't come out too bad but not my best for some reason. Shame really as I really wanted to do a good job on the Reverend Healer, she looks fine in person just doesn't like having her photo taken. Her skin came out just as I wanted which does make me happy as it means I'm getting over my major painting hurdle, her mascara went a bit wrong though but to be honest I find it too hard to do eyes. I'm either getting old and my sight is failing or I'm just tired as I've worked every other night this week as well as doing my normal hours

Reverend Healer

And then we have the last grunt.

Nomad Alguaciles

And here's the group shot of the finished Nomads from I:O.

Next up will be a piece of scenery, I'm working tonight... so tomorrow I wont stand a chance at painting much but should be able to manage a bit of drybrushing.

I need to pick up some new blues before I start the PanO guys but I'm sure my Nurgle things will arrive before I order the paint at the end of the month, well I hope they do.

Skin can be a bleeding nightmare, only really getting to grips with it lately too, sometimes the camera just doesn't love you.

Where on earth did you get 28mm scale cacti?

Oh and any hints on what the scenery might be?

The cacti are made by Pegasus, if you search for Pegasus cactus on ebay you will find them. They have one box left for £11.99, don't get the ones from the other seller as they are stupidly over expensive. I got mine ages ago, they were for my Malifaux guild gang I had planned at the time, which I've recently undercoated....

The scenery is the 40k ruined aquila piece, I picked up off ebay cheap the other day.

Well I didn't get round to the aquila today, I felt a bit more awake than I expected.

So i decided to paint something completely different, I had an urge to paint something fantasy after watching Dracula Untold last night. I don't have many Fantasy minis undercoated so my choice was a tad limited.

I went for the ultimate test on flesh tones and picked little Annik from Dark Lands as my mini of the day.

she was a challenge that's for sure but you never know what you can do until you try, so my paintbrush was moistened and she came out as follows.

Pics are a bit dark due to the bad weather but I wanted to show her today.

Annik Of Carn Wrach from the Dark Lands Ysian faction.

Sculpting wise she's lovely, just hope I did her justice.

Your Infinity faction is very nice. The chap with the white highlights really pops as a centre piece and looks right - where on paper it sounds wrong. I'm going to steal this idea for a Dreadball MVP I think!

Yeah he does stand out quite nicely for some with unnatural highlights, steal a head should look good on some of those human Dreadball players.
