Mate your sak is truly inspiring I think you've set a new painting level there once again

It's just win in so many ways the OSL, the filigree, the veins the gold and so on

The dread is looking great as well although not as pink or veiny but I'm sure you could fix that quick for Git's

On a serious note it does look fantastic and is good experience for your up and coming Imperial Fisting project

Lol, thanks guys, if anyone ever needed a reason to continue doing something they love (not that they'd need an excuse!) comments like you all left about my Sak have been truly heart warming! thanks so much, and I'm glad you liked what I ended up with at the end. only a few short days until I get a good couple of weeks of near pure paint time! I scored a box of Bezerkers to paint for my mate Mitchy and i have a heap of stuff still half done on the desk as well as hopefully a little peek into the other 2014 project of my Emperors Spears space marines

I also get a pretty sweet gift from Mitchy for painting his Bezerkers too! a PS3 & Fallout & Fallout (something....vegas??) should be fun i hope even though i can't play games to save myself

So now I have a rather nifty finished veiny Sak! I shall continue on with Gits Dread for him and some Hell-Bitches and Termies? I think ramos asked about the yellow so far? it's kind of an experiment at the moment, I primed it Desert yellow from army painter and then airbrushed dark yellow from below to shade and a couple of various yellows from above and in bits to add some contrast (the names escape me at the moment of the paints but they are Vallejo) then I washed it with Sepia and started bringing the yellow back up before dry brushing, and that's where I'm at at the moment with it

sorry for just dribbling crap tonight I'm just winding down readying myself for my holidays! and enjoying watching Alpharius drop by and remind everyone he's monitoring my thread! those pics crack me up!

Yea Fallout is a fantastic franchise. You'll get the addiction if you like games at all. And holy crap that's some serious commission pay

As always I'm astounded. The heldrake is really wonderful, a nice tinge of gothic horror running through it.

I have them for PS3, but I can't learn to aim with the stick. However, I am fluent in the mouse &WSAD method, so put my hundreds of hours into it on pc

I don't think you'll have anything to worry about guys :-) I'm probably the worlds worst gamer! I have a PS2 and the only game I can play on it for longer than 15 minutes is the Atari 2600 compilation and the Sega Megadrive Compilation! anything else just confounds me, I tried to play Hitman many years ago and spent about 20 minutes running into a wall and spinning around until i had to stop and vomit as i got motion sickness :-( true story! even the old school Wolfenstein game gave me a headache and a sick tummy, yet I can happily watch someone else play for ages as if it was a movie? strange but that's me I suppose! :-)

You should pick up Mirrors Edge then Fallout 3 is one of the better games to hit the scene in the current gen of games. Vegas is technically more sound, but the story and world are not as compelling.

I'm not usually one to compliment another guys Sak... But this is simply beautiful work! The Ork def dred is phenomenal as well Nerd. You've got some amazing talent behind those brushes of yours. Can't wait to see more.

Thats actually a pretty funny story Damo Apparently I like laughing at others misfortunes. Although I get the same way with every single Half Life game Ive tried to play. They make me super nauseous and once I too puked from playing them. Dunno what it is with HalfLife, but it just does that everytime

I think he's giving me Fallour 3 as well :-) so plenty of spew time for me! yay...... I'm looking forward to seeing the worlds and details in them as I can sense a lot of inspiration contained within? if Dave's blog is anything to go by i'm gonna be in heaven!

Can I ask a little question about my HH army? I have been planning for it to be IF's but lately i've been tempted to do them instead as Sons of Horus? as they were also loyal until they were wiped out on Istvaan v? so, which would you prefer me to paint them as? I will use the same list that GiraffeX kindly made me but i'm just wanting a bit of input at this stage? :-)

I get that sick sensation on some games as well, the best way around is to sit father away from the screen. That way you dont have to move your head/eyes round so much which reduces the feeling to puke

Sons of Horus what be this? Your turning traitor Nerdy, I think thats the penalty for flashing your sak round too much in public places/forums

Oh if you do go for the Sons I do think a new list might be required as they can have these

Oh i'm no traitor! the only divergence is my Slaanesh guys and that's only because of the perverse nature of them, I feel we 'connect' :-) i'm thinking loyalist Sons of Horus, but I'm a bit iffy about the colour? it's pretty varied as far as the green goes, I've got a whole new can of Army Painter Primer in Army Green but if thatdoesn't look close enough then ???

I thought the Sons of Horus had a grey scheme? Or was that Luna Wolves before they changed names?
