The second sweepstakes has come to an end, two blokes from Germany have won. There will be another sweepstakes eventually, but for now they want to focus on the KS.

Geez, makes it sound like they should remove anything bright and shiney around the office or the KS will never start...

Too late, they now have a Tumblr and they are not afraid to use it.

Do we know if the KS models are going to be metal mono pose models like their others, or something else?

We don't know, but I'd bet there will be a variety of poses possible per box set - maybe 4 or 5 body types with multiple arm/head/weapon possibilities per set?

I'm hoping for resin over metal.

Of course plastic would be great, but I don't think that's a possibility.

the troops miniatures will be multiparts.
This means that you'll have torsos that you'll be able to use easily for that purpose.
We'll also have accessory kits that'll help build such characters (such as a pair of arms holding binoculars and pointing at the horizon, etc.).

Cheers ; ) That was much better than I expected. Multi part plastic troops makes me really happy, plastic vehicles too. Was about the only thing (other than price) that might have turned me off the KS.

News on the Kickstarter:
http://www.ragingheroes.com/blogs/news/7829895-the-3-tgg-factions-described-special-herald-programme
The 3 TGG factions described + Special Herald Programme

As we're just a few days away from launching the Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Kickstarter, we wanted to give you a bit more inside information about what to expect.

WHEN DOES IT START?!

Right now, we're wrapping up the last details: wrote up the Kickstarter blurb (still being edited), video's almost completed (the real-time renderer ain't acutally real-time, we noticed...), crunched one more time the numbers for the stretch goals and brought the shipping costs as low as we dared, and this week, asked our concept artist to create just a few more characters/units for the end of the week, because we felt the TGG Army just would not be complete without them...

What we'll do is put up a countdown on our frontpage as soon as we have Kickstarter approval and know that nothing can alter the start date. (Anybody who wants to suggest a good one for me to use, let me know below).
Why a countdown? 3 words: Early Birds Specials!

Comments? Questions? We're listening…

And if you want to know what got us started on the Toughest Girls of the Galaxy, check out the Kurganova sisters...

QUICK RECAP

Here's a quick recap of the type of miniatures you can expect:

If all our stretch goals are unlocked, you will have access to over 20 heroines in high quality casts of white metal, and over 30 unit boxes...

Each unit box will contain 3 to 5 multi-part miniatures made in spincast resin.
For regular units, there will be 2 different boxes of Troups and 1 Command Group/Special Weapon box.
Every single miniature part in these boxes will be different from one another, allowing for an amazing number of combinations.

In total, the TGG is intended to offer you a choice of over 150 individual sculpts.

FACTIONS' BACKGROUND

We can't say too much before we release our future game, but here is some info on the 3 factions in the TGG Kickstarter:

The Jailbirds Division: (we nicknamed them the Rambettes, and they were the ones that started it all. They are a bunch of low-life bad-ass big-attitude girls who all ended up in planetary prison held by the Kurganov government. In the game, they will be used as small penitentiary contingents led by the Kurganova Shock Troops, or as a full autonomous faction (because, as you can easily imagine, many of them have escaped captivity).
They are commando-style units with nothing to lose, and they specialize in acquiring enemy equipment for their own purposes.

The Kurganova Shock Troops: Led by the ultra-powerful Kurganov family, the Kurganova Shock Troops are a highly organized and disciplined army with underlying Eastern European themes. They also benefit from the support of strong cyber-enhanced paganic magic.

The Iron Empire: The Iron Empire is made up of exiled people that have somehow stumbled upon necromantic knowledge from alien pharaonic gods. They combine Prussian and Germanic influences with some kind of Aegyptian cyber necromancy that allow them to raise the dead and create bio-mechanical aberrations.

THE UPCOMING GAME

It is still early to talk about the game as it's not the goal of the TGG Kickstarter. However, you should know that we've been working on a game system for quite some time now. It will be very scalable, allowing to play small skirmishes to large tabletop battle. Most of all, it will be very cinematic and centered about the high deeds of heroes and other characters.

Our goal is to immerse you in the same excitement and action that you'd get in the great battle scenes of movies like Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, or Starship Troopers...

This TGG Kickstarter will allow you not only to have female miniatures that can be played in many game settings, but also to make sure you have access to full Raging Heroes armies at the moment we launch our game.

JOIN OUR BRAND NEW "SPECIAL HERALD" PROGRAMME

Some of you have asked us how they could help pitch in and spread the word about the the Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Kickstarter.

So we created the Special Herald Programme:
- Wanna be the first to receive the latest news from Raging Heroes and for the TGG Kickstarter?
- Wanna interact directly with Raging Heroes and the other Special Heralds through a private Facebook group and private chats?
- Wanna relay these news on your favourite forum / blog / social network (facebook groups, google +, Reddit, Twittr, Pinterest, Tumblr, the russian facebook, podcasts, etc.), answer questions (thread animator) and become the resident expert on the TGG KS?

Then please complete this form! We'll get back to you ASAP!

Resin troops. Not as good as plastic but tolerable. So long as they're not metal ; p Spin cast resin... time for a quick google!

I hope they are multipart, at least. I know it's a pain to glue and stuff, but having to get a bunch of different boxes just to pretend your minis are "different but the same" is going to get tedious.

I'd be more excited, but I'll get to that when they finally drop it. But ya know, yo dawg, I heard you liked a few more days, so we added a few more days to those few more days and feth it. Just a few more days.. I wonder if it will hit before or after the 15th.

Oh, it is H.B.M.C. ...

On topic: This is a big 150 miniature project for a small company. Better they sort it out before than during the kickstarter.

And don't forget, France as a country shuts down during the month of August. Coupled with the few weeks it takes to start up the (human) engines after such a long break, we're talking at least 6 weeks of additional delays.

I've more or less already factored that into the whole thing and not to be a meanie, but I'm also counting on this one to overshoot the delivery date, just like all their other releases.

But after all this hyping, it should be worth it..

I'm interested to see what they've come up with in the way of spincast resin

GW finecast has significant issues (although either casting of QC has improved since it was 1st released)

Trollcast (Trollforged miniatures) is really nice, but Ed is clearly swamped with the work he has already

Deficance games (using a variant of Trollforged) has been poor so far (although to be fair they are beginners in the technology)

I'm personally hoping that it will be like the stuff PP uses for their starters. Bit of a bitch to clean but sturdy enough to survive drops from tables.

I must be the only one here who is happy with the permanent delay on this one. Too much else that needs to be paid for without throwing another ton into this in the next few weeks...!

I'm in the opposite position. There are other Kickstarters that I would consider pledging for, but not until I know these are more than vapourware. I already made that mistake twice and I don't intend to buy anything else until I know I can actually get an army to go with it.

You're not, I am also happy with the delays. Now it is late enough, so I can pay some bills and have more for the actual Kickstarter. I would be absolutly satisfied if it happens this 15th.
