^ I Love Spirited Away, but didn't like Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. I did think it was cool that Shia LeBouf was the voice of the boy in the english version : p
Speaking of older animes, I just finished Golden Boy, I have to say I like the dude's life program but his inner monologue made me want to stab my ears.

Visually it's fantastic, the plot's kinda bland except for the break the cutie theme, and Mami was the only character that interested me... and she's dead. Temporarily from what spoilers tell me. But whatever. I would have finished on the force of Mami's gunfu alone other wise, but if I need to be depressed while watching anime I can just remember I've spent a month and a half of my life on all this stuff.

Don't worry, even without a head Mami's Twitter account is still up, so we are not totally deprived of her. Incidentally, her decapitation spawned a wave of very silly merchandise and jokes, such as an exclusive ticket for the PMMM film with a picture of Mami on it, with the perforation around her neck, a chibi-Mami USB stick where the cap is her head, a fridge someone made with a graphic of her on the front, with 2 seperate doors (guess how they were arranged)...
Also, watched episode 5 of Girls Und Panzer recently. Can't wait for episode 6. Go Oorai Girl's Academy! WOOOOOOOOO!

Keep watching, what they did with her was intended as part of her character design. Sort of like the whole thing is set up to completely mess with your head.

Well I'd say most of my generation of fan has seen at least part of the series thanks to Toonami. I'd say it's a decent magical girl series and is worth a watch, especially in light of the reboot releasing next year.

Cool. I will look on Animecrazy to see if it's on there. It isn't as good a site as Crunchyroll, mainly due to mirroring issues and occasionally dodgy subbing, but it is free, has more series, and doesn't have ads. If you can get a series on Crunchyroll then watch it on that. If you can't then Animecrazy is your next best bet.

Animeultima is good too! I haven't seen too much of Sailor Moon, although I remember it being an omnipresent reminder of all things lovely and sparkly since I was VERY small. Sailor moon was basically over when I was five or so. Like Kalashnikov hinted, it's become sort of an old-guy thing now. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Sailor Moon has aged pretty well for a shoujo.
Finished Madoka... I didn't cry, but I had such a profound feeling in my chest, that I might as well have. Do I need to use any words here though? I don't want to say too much, because if I do, these feelings will get washed out, and I won't appreciate how beautiful it was, so I'm just going to hug and giggle myself to sleep.

Yep, caught 23 yesterday and just got done watching 24/the final one.

Eeeeeehhhhh... Any series that ends with we changed time so none of this actually happened loses a few points. Heck, with Truth getting erased in 23 we're not even sure exactly what the world is like now. How did Neo Nirvash get an archetype? I mean a lot of cool stuff kind of happened but in not really sure what all was actually going on. Renton's Nirvash is epically bad assed though.

Well Battlevixens aka Ikkitousen wasn't so bad as a manga. All of the Ikkitousen animes are horrible and should only be watched for fan service. This also goes for Queen's Blade

Really? I thought Queen's Blade was just a rather average slightly fanservicey girls with swords series. Battle Vixens was a full on softcore pron, complete with large amounts of full frontal nudity, breast fondling, and, umm, spanking.
Unless I'm thinking of a different series.

Wow, you guys didn't listen a few pages back or only now decided to look it up?
Personally, I kind of liked the first few volumes of the manga, they were funny without going too overboard. The super-giant funbags are *mostly* only in the anime.
Still, the anime is meant as a parody, so I cant say I minded it too much.
Then we have things like Manyuu Hikenchou, which was also sort of a parody, but took the fanservice beyond even Eiken levels and when shown on TV (!!) there was a LOT of censoring going on...
This scene in and of itself summed up the whole damn show...

That is...Disturbing. And not even sexy.
Still, nothing beats the sheer unsettling HORROR that was Kiss Players. Gah. It was a Transformers manga written by Yuki Oshima, with the basic plot being "cute girls kiss the Transformers and give them superpowers". Innocent enough and actually pretty funny on it's own. However, it combined it with squick inducing scenes including the rather horrible "fusion" scenes when the girls kiss the Bots, resulting in them getting sucked into the Autobot and then spat out naked and covered in goo, the various panty shots, explicit lesbian erotica, rape imagery, and the goddamn Legion with their FETHING PENIS TONGUES THAT LEAKED GOO. The really sad thing is that if all the creepy gak had been left out (like the fact the girls barely look over 12) then the plot would have been rather good. Alas, it wasn't. Yuki Oshima later admitted that the whole thing was an attempt to shock people, so whether he is a rampant pervert or just a massive troll is up for debate.

Saying that, at least Urotsukidoji was meant to be a porno. Kiss Players was part of Transformers, a kid's franchise, which makes it even worse.
Still...When the author of the original manga (which is hardly pleasant) finds it repulsive and disgusting, you know you have gone too far. The fact it was also the first Naughty Tentacles anime doesn't help either.
