No, Shinji DOESN'T like running, hence all the "I mustn't run away..." and stuff. He just runs a lot anyway, although in his defence, it's usually running very angrily at the next Angel, or running away from Asuka brandishing a chair. Still, that would be quite funny.

Ah, I loved that episode! SO incredibly silly. Rei looks way, WAY too happy though. Everybody knows Rei only smiles when she's asked to, and usually isn't very good at it.
To be honest though, after the bathhouse Ganmen was destroyed, they should have had the miscellaneous Gainax girls taking off their Beastman masks, with one of them muttering "that's it, we're going home..." before all of them trudge off, much to the annoyance of the crazy bath lady.

I just recently started Outlaw Star. Somehow I didn't watch this when Toonami aired it and its been good so far. I'm about halfway through and I've been enjoying it. Aisha is really annoying though, and the Grappler battles are awesome to watch.

Aisha is annoying, but she has just enough BA points to make up for it. It's a really rich cast and universe. I freaking love it <3

So I watched the first episode of Lucky Star...

The episode itself was pretty funny, and I really liked the way the plot focussed on absolutely nothing in particular. Also, Konata is hilarious. I can see why Actar likes her so much.
The opening however...
The singing. THE SINGING. It made EoE seem warm and fluffy. So...cacaphonic...everything...going...black...
On top of that, it's too hideous to safely listen to, but too cute to tear yourself away from.
Konata's attempts at singing at the end, however, was nothing short of comedy genius.

Back on topic, I may start watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, as it looks interesting, with some cool character designs and a good story.

Did anyone else really fall behind on Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann after episode 8?

I mean, KAMINA! He was killed, and then GOT BACK UP to avenge HIMSELF with the most utterly epic finishing move in HISTORY, and for a moment it looked like we had Kamina back...
And he still dies!
There needs to be an annual day of mourning for our fallen comrade.
Also, all true Spiral Warriors and fans of all things epic need to look up "Norio Wakamoto Giga Drill Breaker". It's so epic that it has to be censored to avoid people's heads from asploding from all the raw awesome.

Summer wars was mentioned way back in this thread. i think I said I was going to watch it, but I really get around to watching the films; i'm always watching the series instead and don't really pay them much attention unless they're the eva remakes or something high profile.

Yeah, it was a bit abstract and confusing. I liked it myself, I thought it was quite heartwarming at times, and the animation was superb. I think you woyld prefer the anime series they made, the story is a lot more defined, and there's more action.

I've been watching Hellsing Ultimate recently. I read the comics when I was a lot younger, and loved the hell out of them. Coming back years later, there's still a lot to enjoy. It's really silly and campy, but it's all in the name of fun.
