ugh...I don't miss the 2-3 years I commuted one-hour each way at all. If you do the math, it's really depressing how many hours are just wasted when that happens.

Yep, only a week more of it. But then, the issue will be lack of sleep as my girls aren't sleeping past 4 AM right now. It's killing my wife because I am usually the one who gets up early with them.

Although it's killing me too, because I like that early morning time to spend with them.

And hopefully, I can have my store up and running again in the next month or so too!

Oh, I grabbed a screenshot last night of a Nuka Cola bottle lamp in FO:NV that also needs done. I also built a Scavenger who will be holding a Nuka Cola. Did you ever cast that "thumbs up" hand of yours? I could really use one of those

and jake... do you think your girls are eating enough? also... are thexy sleeping in the same room together? might be an idea to follow to seperate them... that might change their sleeping habbits...

Here is an idea for a weapon: a high pressure steam gun, basically a flamethrower but blasting a jet of steam instead.

I know that pain. My modeling time has been (metaphorically) eviscerated by RL. Won't complain about specifics, but my dept is making 7 *major* changes to service platform, operational database, etc. I'm making bank for sure, but working so much OT is wearing on my last good nerve. I'm working a split shift right now (10:30am-7:30pm) but wind up going in early a lot and staying late frequently. I am literally having to 'steal' time from myself for myself. Like right now I should be sleeping because I have a lot to do tomorrow, (it's almost 4am here as I'm getting ready to post this) but I haven't had any time since Monday to work on anything so I'm doing some modeling now. Just a few bits here and there, figuring things out, trying this and that, normal hobby ADD. I took the time to surf Dakka for a bit, was actually on eBay looking for these and these, plus possibly these but they are a bit more expensive than I want to pay considering what they are. I'll just make my own, and I have a set of them already to use as a template to trace onto plasticard.

In my own selfish way (because it means more modeling greatness from you) I am looking forward to your achieving the the stability you are seeking and need in your life. You are doing good things for your family right now and investing in your future. I respect that, and I keep trying to remind myself of the same thing every day.

I don't want to give the wrong impression. Overall I really do appreciate everything I have. I'm quite happy in life and things are mostly great. Right now work is killing me and my family is driving me mad. My inclination is to run away (I hear the riding is great in New Mexico this time of year ) or tell everyone to piss off for a while so that I may take a much needed 'staycation' just to have some Skalk time.

Rant rant rant.

Looking forward to the coming months. Winter = lots more modeling time.

Hello everybody! (I was using a Russian accent when I typed that.)

Just wanted to let you all know the whole family is in Washington now, we are moved into our apartment but only about 30% un-packed. It will be a long task to get completely settled in.

It is SO nice to have the family with me. Just cuddling up with the girls is so rewarding.

I know where all of my modeling and casting stuff is, but making room for it will take some time.

Skalk, I hear you man. You sound a little more pressed for time and more stressed out then me. You should take some time for yourself. But I know wanting to and being able to are completely different things. Good luck, feel free to rant here if you need to.!

Swampy, that bottle is looking great! That commissar is looking good too! One of my favorites out there! (That I didn't make of course.)

I have no computer at home right now, my wife didn't tell me that our comp went belly up while I was gone, so it needs some love, but it's low on the to-do list. So right now, I have to access my Dakka fix at work.

hey jake havent heared much from you lately how is it going on the commission since its been a bit long since i heard off an update

Just cheking in after work. I am SO SORRY I haven't updated in a while, but I HAVE made some excellent progress! I just keep forgetting to download the pics and make an update!

When I had the cushy office job, I had loads of time to surf the webz and make updates and even keep up with other people's blogs!

I will make an update tonight if I can, lots of exciting stuff!

I got the gatling gun printed, but I chose a material that didn't come out very well, so I had it re-done in the same material that I had the shotguns made out of, and it looks great! Along with the laser rifles, and heat ray gun, and the Energy blade handle and the war hammer for the other projects.

I have a new sculpt of the My Tiny Equine Commissar that is coming along quite well. And it is just a hair taller than a Cadian, top of the head, it doen't have a hat or hair yet.

The only thing I haven't started working on is the Samurai Armor Pads, but I have been thinking about them, and I am excited to start working on them.

I also haven't gotten back around to doing casting or mold making. I will have to do all of that stuff in a detached garage, and it is cold out there right now, but work is slowing down, and I should have some time to get out there soon. I hope so,because I need to cast some stuff!

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about my obligations, and I am sorry they had to be put on hold for so long, but I think the end products will be worth the wait.

Ok, so the first batch of printing came out with not nearly the detail I wanted, but it was a good test run for scale, and I am very happy with the scale.

I used the low-detail one for the Chaos Havoc, so I detailed it up a bit:


Also, here is the lizard on the Heresy Investigator's shoulder with new eyes:

don´t fret the red ink here... i am not with the modquisition...just trying to highlight my thoughts regarding your awesome work jake! i hope you will soon get around to casting... i am now working... and some of the benefits of work (like the tremendous loss of time...) is the bit of hard cash you have lieing around surpluss then... i definatly now need to place the odd order soon... cook up the casting engines mister

so...my thoughts... where were they...?

gatlings are a definite must for all steampunk loving fellas... check! and the chainglaive... very cool looking...check!
