You should try to put the lashers in his back, or like your first though off, on the weapons, or crazier, dreadlocks of Doom!

I may look at tweaking the Lashers again soon for now, I have to focus and sort out my entries for the Librarium Painting Challenge over on the B&C and Cormadepandas Character contest thingy on here.

Im going to be sorting out a power armoured World Eater Captain who may be useable as Kharn if the feeling should take me. Ill hopefully have some WIP of him tomorrow.

I like the Lashers the way they are. You should alter the pose of the legs so that one is slightly raised (perhaps stepping of something, ruined building/tank), as the top half looks like it's either roaring a challenge, or a triumphant bellow.

Excellent work as always sir. Really creative salvaging of that land raider. The use of that chaos star as a side decoration is genius.

I agree the legs are letting it down slightly, I think rather than butcher the legs I may just trya nd get a little creative with the basing.

And thanks for the comments on the Land Raider, the star is a Defiler star/symbol/thingy that I just cut to fit.

The lasher fiend looks immense ... This whole project is just pure awesome cant wait to see the finished result...

Now less typing more modling and painting.

Most of the conversion work is finished on Voorhees now, just need to work on a few final details and then its on to paint. Also here is a very quick and very very rough concept of how my Kharn counts as may look, again this is a very early mockup with very little in the way of conversion so far.

That Kharn mock up is awesome. I like the pose a lot, but fear it may be too calm and collective for a blood-raged looney.

Kharn has a chainaxe dunne'?

It's an interesting pose, but I echo what Moltar said; he seems to calm, almost too graceful even? I've always pictured him as the type to repeatedly hammer something until it breaks, as opposed to having finesse.

Each to his own, I'll be excited what you do with him!

Thanks for the comments guys, Im just looking to build a Captain Varrus Kin Slayer who I could possibly use as a Kharn counts as. The chainsword and legs are just placeholders at the moment Im planning on having him stride forward all menacing like ready to dismember his next victim. Im not going for the full on mental CHAAAAAAARGE pose. And yeah Kharn has a chain axe but Im just planning on a meaty chainsword to fit with the rest of the force.

Heres another rough of some new legs, still not 100% sure on these yet.

Keeping his current torso, have you considered raising one leg up and having rest atop a skull or rock?

I hve thought of that but I dont want to many of my minis to have the same pose and a couple of the Raptors have very similar poses to the one you posted already. Bear with me buddy Ill sort him out.

Love the pose, but I think he needs a different helmet to make him really stand out. I also like the free hand, perhaps the Wrist mounted Plasma pistol from the blood angels kit would be a nice addition?

I think doing your helmet chopping skills with some of these would be a good place to start for a unique Kharn-esque helm.

Land Raider- The conversions are excellent and there are quite a few that seem so logical but I hadn't thought of when I did my last one and haven't seen on others. Very good job.

However, my one disappointment is the stock Imperial treads. Everything else has been corrupted so nicely and the Machine Spirit has been completely expunged... except for the treads.

Offering an opportunity to change that if you are open to the idea. Machinator casts resin tracks that fit on a Land Raider w/ minimal work (need to cut out the track guides from the track well) and they are available from his web store Blood and Skulls Industries. I've ordered from him 3 times now and each time I have been extremely pleased w/ the quality of his work and the fast shipping time.

You can see an example of his tracks 'in action' on my Nurgle Land Raider here.

I'd probably second that, I've already placed the tracks on the world eaters land raider I'm currently working on, and I've used the orky / scrap style tracks on my deathguard pieces, they're great casts every time I've had them.

Skalk Bloodaxe Perfect! Ive seen those tracks on RazXIII's Baneblade as well, I really like those and they totall fit the style of the WE. The tracks have been bugging me as have the abundant Imperial icons on the Land Raider chassis, I cant understand why those decorations arent kept seperate if its supposed to be a dual purpose kit. I also noticed from the pics I posted earlier I still have to remove a Crux from its side as well. I may order some come payday (6 week months suck)

WOW, the army shot looks awesome, really impressive as a force altogether like that. (With regaurds to the tenticle guy on the oval base (forgotten the name) variation in the tenitcles a bit more would really improve the pose in my oppinion)

Thanks guys, a brief text update. Thanks to the most epic generosity from Machinator I will have some Oppressor tracks for the Land Raider in a week or so. Can't wait to work on them.

Excellent! Can't wait to see it! I think it's a bit lazy on GWs end to just add some spike sprues to a land raider box and claim it as a seperate model. They could of done something cool with it. Thank god Forge World Picked up on it (ie. doors, tracks)

Machinator's tracks are cooler than forgeworld, and appropriate for world eaters. Awesome that you got some! I was so let down when the new chaos 'dex had no other land raider variants though.

Agreed that it is incredibly lazy of GW to just add some garden fence sprues with a couple of spiky bits. The Crux and the aquila details on the Land Raider should imho be seperate bits that modellers could add or leave off at their own choice. If the main body of the tank was free from any detail showing allegiance either way it would be better I think.

As for Machinators tracks I received a PM from him shortly after Skalk and Grulgor mentioned him in this thread saying he'd like to donate some. Im not one to say no but just want thank Tom publicly again for his generosity. Also thanks to Skalk Bloodaxe and Ignatius Grulgor for bringing his stuff to my attention in the first place.

@ Biohazard: Have you considered adding some warshrine bitz to the LR, buddy? I think that might look really awesome and work towards making the LR more interesting from a visual standpoint.

Okay, any transport options would have been nice. But I think I would have liked a land raider with some chaos-type sponsons, like quad reapers, twin-linked flamers or something. The godhammer pattern is mostly good at sitting back and providing fire support... in an army where the majority of special characters are close-combat beasts, it just doesn't make sense.

That and if they had made destroyer blades cheaper in the game, I'd say that could get me excited about modelling a land raider. I mean that's what you want to do with a land raider, rush up, machine gun the enemy, ram their tanks, then disgorge!

The new forge world variants are also not so bad, but still no dakka weaponry on the sponsons and no destroyer blades :( at least they have the special rule where meltas don't roll two dice to pen it.

I have to agree, I was really disappointed in the lack of options for the Chaos Raider. Especially after seeing al the options the Imperials have.

Krautscientist. I haven't actually looked at adding any of the bits from the Warshrine to the tank yet. At the risk of sounding like a dick I kinda forgot I had the remainder of that kit. :/ will check it out once I'm finished with the ToS comp.
