Automatically Appended Next Post: As far as an easy build customizable army display board system... I highly reccomend modular picture frames + black foam board as a base. They are easily sized and customizable. Also VERY light for their size.

excellent stuff yet again dave... i thought you were deep into the rabbit hole with bomma making... now you apear to making terrain again...not that i am complaining in the least
Well, I would like some opinions on the Dakka-MiG as well.
Like the concept for that terrain, a nice stone work setting.

I also started working on a wall tile the height of the small pillar with a separate castable window bit,
and I am going to design some buttresses to cover the gaps:
Anyone have any more ideas for patterns, panels, or anything else?
If you had these to yourself as a sort of terrain LEGO set, what else would you want for parts?

It is a building block set, you can make a small Imperial Sewage Treatment plant, or a huge Palace or Cathedral, your choice
I need to design basic parts before I can get into all the detail bitz though...so start with basics.

I like the tiles, and the columns, and when I first saw the window section, I just assumed you made them the same hieght as the small columns on purpose, so you could put them on the tiles, and they would mesh up.
And yes, the buttress sketch looks like it could work well!
Yeah..the small column is slightly a bit taller, so I gave the wall section an extra 1/4" to allow room for greeblies
The Pillar bases fit inside a 1 1/2" square floor tile perfectly too. I think you can see that on an earlier pic.

Even on small pieces it's really obvious the thought you are putting into it and how you expect them to go together. I can see numerous applications already.

Not trying to derail, just remebered I wanted to do this- Found a new Dakka guy, Ork player, very talented conversions with a unique (bizarre, even?) visions. Figured people would like his work and I'm always looking to help the modeling community grow closer. Since everyone seems to play here the most I'm sharing it here.
