No, not at all, President Obama's opponent is winning the election for him every time he opens his mouth. That's pretty much decided already, now the real fight is for the Congress, who is supposed to work for all Americans, not just the rich. Your UK royalty would never last a day here, we would not tolerate the wasted taxpayer money it would require to support that lifestyle. I'm not really sure what, exactly the crown contributes to the governing of the UK, but you can usually only milk the working class for about 4 years at a time, then you get replaced, unless you are a State Governor, then...I dunno, you just slowly rape your working class from behind other silly things and have no term limits.

That is a very Labour statement.

The Royal Family isn't here to contribute to governing the country. It is here as a means of making money. They represent us on many levels, working to bring income into the blighted and much unloved country. Yes there is a portion of taxes which goes to keeping them, but they do not own their estates, the estates belong to the state as a means of more income. They just happen to live in them. Its all very well people making comments about the Royal Family jetting off all over the world when they see them in the news, but what is almost never shown in the news is the talks on trade and various other things they facilitate.

The Royal Family have nothing to do with our "working class" being butt raped. The working class in this country refuses to work for less than what they deem they should be paid... now I'm sorry but they bring it on themselves. our minimum wage is much more than that of the one in America. from the time I have spent in america, I know that at least American's work for their money. The same cannot be said for people in this country. The people here constantly want more money for less work. imo, you get out what you put in. Work hard, get paid more.

The no term limits is something which is growing to be an increasing pain in the arse over here, a lot of us want a set period between elections, but it seems we havent thought as far ahead enough to think about set term limits like you have in America.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you said there Dave, I'm not a fan of partioning people into "classes" and "us & them" its bollocks. we are all the same. the only reason we differentiate is down to the damned fracking media... *grumblegrumble* I don't mean Labour to be a bad thing either, I mean it in the sense that over here the Labour Party tends to have its followers come from what were once industrial cities, but unfortunately, since the industries dried up they have become a people of low intellect and an even lower ability to think for themselves. they only see the politics of their parents and so become indoctrinated into the party. which is a shame. because it adds to the us and them routine... and so a never ending cycle begins. bloody stupid really.
