well i'm sorry (again, that must be about 20th or so time so far tonight i've said sorry and ive only have 2 beers) to see anyone go, its the boost you guys give me when you chat about my work on here that pushes me on to make more and at the speed i do, and yeah it gets me down when some one says a negative thing, and yeah i react to it, I'm human and a big fat baby.

if you going then please don't post saying your going, whats the point in that, i'm sorry your off, how many times do i have to be sorry ???

That is excellent! One recommendation for future work. You should make sure that the height of the guns off the ground is about the same as the hight of the quad guns on the aegis defense line set. That way you aren't putting the buyer at a disadvantage because a lack of LOS (or conversely at an advantage because the guns are too high).

Just a suggestion.

what size should i be looking at mate ?

The center point in between the barrels on the gun (if you get my drift) on my quad gun is 2 1/4" off the table. So, if you point the barrels of the gun straight forward... the lowest ones are at 2" and the highest at 2.5".

The GW turret elevates and depresses as well as swivels. I don't think anyone will care about the elevating and depressing so you can model it at whatever angle you'd like. Swiveling would be cool (and well within your talents) but again... it's understood that these turrets are pivoting so its not absolutely necessary that the model do it.

I just thought that if you could make your models size-wise equivalent to the official one (at least where it matters for game play)... you'd remove one obstacle people might have to buying your work. More bids = higher sale prices.

thanks for replying mate, my AA gun/pillbox moves up and down and also turns 360, and the base is 3 inch by 3 inch and 2 and a half inch to the top of the pillbox, so it sound to me (and i could be Wrong, after all im only human) my AA gun/pillbox is about the right size, how the hell i did that with out know is your guess.

the next one should be done by the end of the day, ill keep you all posted, got some kool idea's rolling around in my head on the look.

i think im going to start doing video's of my models, photo's just seem to confuse some people, or its my write ups, anyway, i think a vid will do better.

I think I prefer this one over the last one, and I'm sure it's not just because it is sporting missing rivets! Possibly because it looks less squat/boxy than the last one, possibly because of the added hatch, face and targeter details - was there anything else you did differently here, or anything you felt came out better?

Awesome work as always.

The last one i made before this one was more simple, don't forget i was finding my feet, seeing as i have never made one of these before and all so there is not one out there for me to copy. i put about 18 hours of work in the last one and that inc painting, this one how ever is about 20 hours so far and its not painted yet, so you can see straight away there is more effort gone into this. and also this is a wee bit bigger than the last one too, but not by much, no one picked up on that.

the last one had a door at the back to get into it, this one has a hatch and a swivel targeting eye, which is going to look kool when painted.

over all this is going to be nice when finished, the next one I'm planning is a orky SAM missile version.

thanks for all comments guys

I like them both. Or, I guess I like that the first has a demonstrated functionality - I can imagine a guy in there making it work. I don't like the guns as much.

I like the second for the face and I much prefer the gun barrels on the second one as well. I don't see where a guy operates it from though. Not that that matters, but comparing them to each other that's what strikes me.

Really great stuff. Keep it up.

i have tried to make the guns look different every time, which is becoming hard and hard i tell you, but i agree with you, on the pillbox AA gun MkII, the guns do look very good and when i come to make the in the future, they will look like that.

Not positively or negatively. He was really into Orks, hailed from Yorkshire, came across a little rude in text but was actually quite polite vocally.

That's about the size of it. No offense meant anyway. I understand that some people have questionable social skills, it can make it hard to communicate with them. But it doesn't matter. We exalt the blog, not the person.

thanks for clearing that up, but i am a nice guy, what i said before was meant as a joke, and to the person i said it to, i have spoken to that person and also said sorry for any offence if there was any caused, which there wasn't, then loads of people started jumping on the band wagon and calling me rude, then posting that they were off, what it the point in that apart from making me feel bad, to be honest, i hope they closed the door on there way out, i don't want people like that reading this blog, most of all sheep.

if you have a question about modelling, then i will help, that's what this blog is partly about, that's why i post before and after photo's of my models, to sort of show you guys how i do it, not many on here do that and soon video's, i'm here to help you all if you want it, if you don't then im sorry lol
