Just as a note you can't accept guild invites, or do anything guild related from an overflow server, so make sure you're not in one.

Condition damage will boost the damage of bleeds, burns, and other damage DoTs (does poison do damage?).

So far I've been rolling through the starting zones on all my characters. Mesmer, Ranger, Thief, and Warrior down, about to do the guardian. Then I'm gonna power through the game on my Ranger, so on and so forth.

As a note for anyone starting a ranger: The Norn and Sylvari areas offer very quick and easy access to about 8 pets, and you can pick a Jellyfish up very easily in Lion's Arch. If you start a Ranger, just travel over to the Norn/Sylvari areas and pick up some pets if it suits your fancy (Includes: Fern Hound, Pink Mao, Polar Bear, Ice Drake, Brown Bear, Alpine Wolf, Raven, and Snow Leopard). The brown bear is especially cood for rangers as we have a hard time pulling off conditions from ourselves (unless Human )

So the game is clicking now, and I'm enjoying it. I'm not as head-over-heels flipping my gak "OMG BEST EVAR" in love with the game like a lot of people seem to be, but it's... it's pretty damn good.

I do seem to have run into a slight problem in that my story quest and a couple of the quests I've encountered seem to be a wee bit over my head at this point. I'm level 12 and everyone else in the area seems to be 14-16. I suppose I'll go back and collect any vistas, spawn points, etc, that I've missed and see if there are any tasks that I inadvertently skipped.

Tried to do a little WvW but my server appears to be terrible. We're getting camped at our spawn point by Blackgate and people seem to be content to feed them.

The level of your next storyline mission is shown on the top right. I recommend filling up those hearts and participating in gorup events until your level at least matches your storyline mission-- the group events are a great source of XP, you get a ton of it just for participating (gold medals are fairly easy to get-- mostly you just want to participate from beginning to end, and you'll get the gold medal rewards). You also should be on the look out for skill challenges. Some of them are pretty fun, like the platformer puzzle ones.

Morgan's Tower in the Sylvari low-level region comes to mind.

Man, the grenade kit is indeed ridiculously fun. Great for running away too. Just drop a chill grenade at your feet and it'll explode right on time.

Heh, already had a email password change attempt. I knew that was possible as its the same email I use across a number of online sites and forums. Changed it to a 'use no where online' one earlier.

Haven't played much sadly, lots of stuff to do at home, plus trying to spend time with the boys while they are off has eaten into my 'me' time, but I'll be there or there abouts over the coming months.

Might take a little while longer than the rest of you to reach level cap though.

Hit level 50 in huntsman. Anyone need level 20 guns, bows, war horns, torches, etc? You might have to give me some materials for the insignia depending on wchih one you want, but i can now make masterwork bronze ranged weapons.

In fact, I have a level 20 masterwork Mighty Bronze Rifle, which I have in storage for myself, but I might replace it wit ha precise one if someone else wants the mighty one.

My rifle using warrior is only level twelve so it'll be a whiel before I can use it anyway. Amusing how she's crafting stuff about twice her level

I'm 112 Jewelcrafting, 94 Armoursmithing, and 57 Weaponsmithing (which is by far and away the most annoying of the 3).

I've eaten through so much copper these past few days... Starting to run out of Iron too. Should be okay for silver though if the market prices stay as low as they are (15c for 1 silver ore as opposed to 25c for 1 copper).

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. I'm not bothered as much by the copper anymore (horray for not really needing much now!), but I am worried about iron. Silver not so much as it's only used en masse by Jewelers AFAIK, and is at least as plentiful as iron, so it'll have a larger difference in supply:demand than copper or iron.

Hopefully with nodes not being as limited a resource in GW2, the game will never suffer from the ever increasing price absurdities WoW did at its peak.

I still remember having money trouble with my main WoW char when I first started, and then making alts that would become progressively richer each time I made them thanks to the price fluctuations, to the point where my main was borrowing (okay okay, liberating... what? He was a Paladin...) cash from them.

Then trash drops became goldmines themselves and whatever remnants of an economy that remained promptly flew out the window and went South for the Winter.

I just got the game and the server that all my friends are on (Gandara) is full... if I pick another server it asks if I'm sure and states that there's a server transfer fee.

...So what do I do? Do I just sit and not play the game I paid for whilst I wait on Gandara? A queueing feature at least would be nice.

You can queue in game, there are overflow servers upon overflow servers upon overflow servers. For some reason you can't queue in server selection...

The server Transfer fee at this point should still be 0. As of this time it doesn't cost any gems to transfer; next time you click it check to see what price is being shown. I already had to transfer myself and the little message comes up about the cost, but it is nothing for the time being, though if you wait to long it might not be, as their is no set date for when they will kick in the fee as far as I know.

None of the skill quests in the Sylvari regions (up to level 15 anyway) seem to be bugged, if you want to try for them.

Or rather, pay attention to details, because with just a bit of mild paranoia, phishing efforts are pretty easy to spot.

Phishing isn't the same as hacking, BTW.

Of course not.

She has a nose. And human looking feet, with toes, not hooves.

She also doesn't suck like the Tau do.

If anything, it actually reminds me of Fallout 3 / New Vegas' laser rifles.

Anyone got into the pvp matches much?

I had a go with my elementalist for a bit and managed to get rolled pretty hard.

On the upside Iv had some success in wvw using a build with sceptre and dagger. Its good for running down people when the enemy breaks.

I think that looks like a Mecron Gauss Rifile myself lol

Went through all the cultural armors. The norn heavy set on females. Hot, but I question the actual protection offered Love the Sylvari sets though. Humans and Charr also. The Charr heavy set actually makes the character look like a Krogan in tier 1.
