That looks perfect. I gotta try that with the buildings, that is such a brilliant idea, and I'm always so rubbish at coming up with new and creative uses for cheap stuff.
I need to hit the dollars store and expand my mind.

I think the container store still has them but even not on sale they are not that expensive. $4.99 I want to say. The ones on sale were red and blue but there's also clear. I wish he didn't do them so fast because I wanted to make some better looking windows than the plain ones he did.

At the moment I'm getting into Tomorrow's War AAR as well, and stumbled across these (remarkably cheap, although I haven't had first hand experience of them)
GameCraft Miniatures: http://store.gcmshop.com/default.aspx
Some example of their stuff:
Foamboard factory, $18
Middle-Eastern building (perhaps good for Haqqislam?), $10.71(?!)
I'm sure a lot of it would be workable, and at least it is a cheaper option for the many people who deem the MaS stuff as being too expensive.

I like the factory, but it'sa tad bland. Would take a lot of work getting it to look decent. The tomorrows war stuff is nice. Reminds me of some of the buildings in Red Faction Guerilla.

Think those look really good! You've done enough to them so that they stop looking like whatever they were originally!

I think that's a good goal to have for a game of Infinity, and would accurately represent the conditions of a real city fight.

Some wonderful new releases from Antenociti's Workshop, not sure how long these have been up on the site but I just spotted them!
Tri-add advertising stands price £6 for 3, http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/tri-ads-advertising-stands.html
They come with the photo-quality screen prints. Definitely going to put an order in for these guys ASAP!
On the website they have also done some pictures of terrain they have made using bits purchasable from their website. This has to be the coolest looking board I have ever seen...
I think we have a sneak-peek there of some interesting WIP by Anteoniciti's workshop. Namely that cool looking large robot in the second picture, the guys in heavy armour and also the large advertising stands in the background.
Finally, not 'terrain' in the strictest sense, but still a way of populating the board and adding those finishing touches (as well as interesting opportunities for scenarios!), there is a new 'civilian' set that has been released: Price is £21, http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/civilians-of-the-technoshpere.html

I have really got to put the 10 lb. stack of plasticard I've got under the bed to use.
I bought it to build several 54mm scale vehicles to use for Inquisitor (ranging between Sentinel and Warhound Titan - and yes, it's huge), despite not being done with those builds, I can now tell my estimates for how much plasticard I needed were rather overgenerous - and that was even before I swapped to using balsa for some parts. So there's going to be quite a lot left over for building terrain...

I'm going to lock that guy in my basement and make him create awesome terrain like a sort of machine? Yes. Yes indeed.
Seeing that stuff is inspiring, and intimidating. I'm going to stick to painting models for now.

Bit of a random question regarding the Micro Art Studio Apartment (District 5), I hope someone can help!
Some time ago I saw a blog/forum post which featured conversions that would be possible using the basic apartment block building. Sadly for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it, only that the person had made up some different configurations using the MAS Apartment building and a little bit of plasticard/card stock (eg. 2 floors on 1 level, the rectangular blocks at right angles from each other etc.)
Don't suppose anyone knows what I am talking about?

Here's the start of the board I'm working on, a mix of papercraft and solid terrain.
I've got 20 resin buildings I managed to get off ebay for under $60 (three story/two story), but I've got to finish painting them...

Looks really good, and like you have done a great job with them! Certainly more convincing than most of the paper terrain that you see out there.
What kind of buildings did you get from ebay, is it something that is generally available or just a one-off auction?

I generally don't care too much for paper terrain, but I needed some shipping containers, and didn't want to spend a lot of time and money on it.
As for the buildings, most were from a one off auction, and the rest were from a russian ebayer who sells the terrain from "Robogear" for really cheap. You can see in this auciton: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ROBOGEAR-Secret-Bunker-Action-Model-assemble-play-/190698982757?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c668b8d65#ht_1841wt_1163 one of the styles of buildings which you can add to other buildings in the set to make larger buildings. We picked up a ton of them for $1 each... don't think the seller is around anymore.

I use regular pva glue and dressmaking pins (the pins do the structural work while the glue sets.) on foamcard. Once the glue has set (and before it has dried) the pins can be removed if you don't need the added "rivet" detailing.
