Amon Hen is finally completed. The top was a bit plain, so I added some extra plasticard around the edge (which worked well) and some "flagstones" on the top, which are a bit crap-looking, but never mind

Flitting back to LOTR...

Not many Uruk Hai left to do now, and my whole Isengard army will be complete! Except for, of course, Warg Riders, Saruman, Grima etc etc. But still.

Here are 3 demolition teams, and one Berserker who somehow didn't get painted when I did all the others:

Nowt wrong with flitting! Looking great.

Ironclad looks solid. Both aesthetically and literally.

I always had a weird love of that demolition team set, as it was early LOTR Urak Hai in plastic the details were not great but something about the Besekers, ladders and bombs just appealed to me.

The Ironclad looks awesome, when done well the contrast of Salamander's green armour and lava bases is beyond compare, and you have nailed it here. Bonus points for the freehand work where most would use transfers/decals as well.

Really nice work on the Salamanders Dreadnought, that's a lot of edge highlighting!

Terminators look good, but maybe at least black dot the stormbolter barrels? (My preference is to drill them, but that’s best done during preparation)

The leather was pretty simple, it just came out quite nicely... The darker leather is Vallejo Charred Brown, the lighter leather Vallejo Beasty Brown, then a heavy wash of Army Painter strong tone, then highlighted with Beasty Brown on the dark leather and Vallejo "Khaki Grey" on the lighter.

From Trolls to Holes, I should have some Scouring of the Shire WIPs to show later or tomorrow

Great job painting the face. Lots of personality. Like the skintone, too.

I have got a bit of terrain work done.

The fronts of these Hobbit Holes are resin pieces I got from a Kickstarter a while ago.



Still a bit rough, need some filling before I start painting.

Nice hobbit holes. Any rough areas can also just be covered with grass tufts or plants.
