Biohazard stuff should be in a separate plain brown flat box right on the top, you may mistake it for packing if you are not careful.

Looking over the net the big problem with the games is that the rules are very confusing. Really needs a FAQ ASAP. The battle reports I have seen show people using rules in all different sort of ways.
Yeah, the game terms are really poorly defined, and there are clearly some editing mistakes (contradictory point costs, for instance). An index would have been nice, too.

Holding out hope that they get a good FAQ together (possibly with errata) because, right now, the game is too sloppy to be a solid miniatures game and too complex to be okay as a slightly sloppy board game.

The game mechanics are pleasantly fast when you know what you're doing, but play is bogged down immensely with confusing, obscure, or poorly organized rules.

Well just picked mine up and I am mighty impressed! All the models look brilliant, very little flash and the resin Kara is a perfect cast!

Only things I have to fuss over were the card tokens that were printed a bit wonky and one of my drones is seriously miscast.

Overall a brilliant kit. I look forward to painting some of the stuff!

I do find the rulebook is extremely poorly laid out, but it's workable. It's too bad that alongside learning the rules, you also need to memorize where they are in the book to refer back to them, rather than have them each in a logical place in the book.

One of the big things I think is poor is that the rules for the special types of terrain (those delineated with colored lines) are all over the friggin' book. ! Why is there not just a table that has them listed, or just a section labelled "Special Terrain Rules"?

It still doesn't say which doors the white and orange ones are. I "assume" the orange ones are the airlock doors, and the white are normal doors.

Yeah, Tannhauser is the only worse set of rules I've encountered, but that seemed mostly due to infuriating design (I disagreed strongly with some of their choices) than to poor forethought-- I feel like Sedition Wars' rules can be salvaged, and are currently functional.

I'm really hoping that they release a second version of the rule book in the next year or so...

Hi all, just got my copy today, opened it up like a giddy school girl the second I could. Gonna have to say I'm really impressed with the qualitiy of it all, the miniatures are crisp, highly detailed and they feel
well made I can image they will be a joy to paint, very little flash or mold lines too. I'm holding a female trooper next to my plastic eldar models to compare right now, and you know what they really look the part.
The detail is slightly softer in areas but nothing that ruins the miniature, I would'nt be ashamed to throw these down on the table when the Sedition Wars wargames lands, of course I'll have till Arms of Sorrow (cue Killswitch Engage) since I want a Firebrand army.

The boards and cards seem pretty ridged, looks like they'll last for quite a while, if I had one complaint about the bits its the nano clouds, I'm not sure why they made them big clunckly squares instead of smaller rounded tokens, say the same size as a 25mm base, but thats a small issue, it hardly matters.

So all in all really great stuff

On a different note I know the resin Kara is meant to be held up at customs within the uk, but on my invoice it states "Terrain Pack -x1" which I did order one, yet its not in the package. Is this normal are the terrain packs being delivered later?

The terrain packs are in the next shipment I believe. Very interested to see how they turn out!

very impressed with the miniatures right now. Great quality, only one of the Grendlrs didn't fit right (need to give it the hot water treatment), the others went together like a dream, however there is one part of the model where filling it with greenstuff will be needed.

Love the bases, though sort of wish they were solid top to bottom rather than have it more like a "dish".

Mold lines come off with ease with a sharp x-acto knife.

One of my boards is warping, i hope the other do not.
my 3 resin Karas are all busted :(
one of the strain stat cards is damaged and the corner of the warping board.

Miniatures 9/10
Overall 6/10 (damage to product and warping board brings down the overall score)

hope the game is good.

From the update that they posted yesterday.

The game boards.
Some people have mentioned their boards warping. This can happen based on the changes in environment, and has largely to do with the difference in humidity between the inside of the box and your chosen play area. It’s a simple fix, all you need to do is lay out the tiles and place books or other heavy items on them to force them flat in a place with a similar environment to where you will be playing (like your living room). A couple hours should do the trick, overnight is better! We suggest that do it while you’re assembling your models.

I like the game an components, but wonder with all the problems, are retailers going to feel comfortable stocking the game?

Mine was in the brown box which contained all the Biohazard extras.

Hmm.... from one of the kickstarter updates...

"For EU based backers, HM (no S) customs is still saying they are backlogged so we've gone ahead and shipped everything else today, and your Karas will follow once the government figures out that they're harmless. Just one of those things, please accept our apologies for the wait."

I'm guessing this applies to me? =p

Status report, star date, today
Update #87 · Jan. 23, 2013 · 8 comments

I am not sure where people got the idea that we were not going to replace damaged or bad components. That just seems like madness to me. If you have a issue with a component, send a email off to kickstarter@coolminiornot.com. We will replace bad or damaged parts. We always have and always will

We are looking in to what is going on with these issues, but feel its important to tell you guys that the outrage here does not seem to match the volume of replacement requests/complaints. As best I can tell, as of today, the number of errors seem to be where we would expect them to be, which is a very small amount and is expected in any kind of manufacturing. Its unfortunate, but also the reality of the thing. I am not saying this to pass the buck, I just want to make sure you guys have the correct perspective.

Once again, if you got components you are not happy with, please, please email us we will take care of it. If you do not email us, we cannot make it right. (kickstarter@coolminiornot.com)

In other news.
All US and non EU orders will be shipped today. This includes any late confirmations from last week or before. YAY!

Mine came today, two game boxes and two pizza boxes, lights out stuff in one of them. Overall from the first look, very impressed, will need to start putting them together asap.

As to Kara, they held her back for wave 2 in the UK, not the end of the world, probably not going to play till it all turns up anyway, same as Zombicide.

Got my tracking info this afternoon.

Nice to see my 100% record of being on of the last backers to get the product from Kickstarter projects remains intact.

I'll definitely be going for an early bird backer if I ever choose to back KS again!

Just a few bits to add

"We decided to do a new card for the Cthonian Drone, but not in time to get it in the first (additional) print run. We're laying that out at the moment and will provide it for download soon. Then you will get a physical copy in the second lot of shipping - along with all the new material. Mike"

The Tech Com Kara phsyical card will also be in the second shipping lot.

The official FAQ is being worked on - Rob was ill until a day or 2 ago so he's a little behind on this.

There will be an official quick reference rules guide work is being done on the details and layout - trying to reduce it all down to one sheet.

There may be a PDF of the rulebook which will be fixed up and include all the errata a bit like the Zombicide version 3 - I can't guarantee this things may change Mike and Rob are up to their eyes getting other stuff done right now but it's been mentioned.

The Lights out campaign is in final layout and should available soon ( I don't have a date for this yet)

There's lots more stuff coming I can't go into details yet but again Zombicide is a good pointer.

Just picked mine up from the post office. No duties or taxes of any kind. I've checked my boards and there's no sign of any warpage. I haven't taken any minis out of their bags yet, but I haven't seen any obvious issues. I guess I'll find out once I begin dry-fitting.

Looking at the latest update, one thing that strikes me more than anything is the difference in attitude between that update, and McVey's post just a bit earlier.

No way in hell is CMoN going to meaningfully 'fix' those issues with the boards - I think the McVey's will get stung with what is essentially (because this is not just the guy running off with the cash...) a choice on CMoN's part to cut costs where they shouldn't be cut - and it seems like they'll be trying to gloss it over in just the way some naysayers predicted. Guess those can be right, at times :/
