Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

Lenses are great man... and the main green and gold are so smooth. Choice work.

More work on the internals. Very close to having to get back on with painting gold and starting to design decals.

The gold on the head is bar far my favorite thing, so I know it is boring but it is really effective

Love it, keep up the top notch work

Meh, not so much boring as tedious; one of those jobs that takes all of about 3 seconds to visualise and think about, but several good hours to do. I think it took around three or four hours solid to do the gold on the head.

Love your lenses winterdyne, especially the grey-scale ones. Very convincing.

Good to see that keyboards won't change much in the next 38k years

Great work, as always, Winterdyne

I love watching this come together and i can fully appreciate the scale of work that is going into it! you've nailed so much perfectly throughout the build so far, from the image as a whole including the base to the gritty rougher details on the interior and as Gits said the grey/white lenses are a really nice touch and look great, well done mate I can't wait to see the next step in this journey!

Wow your designing your own decals! I nearly had the opportunity to do that in university but the damned decal printer broke down completely.

Such smooth painting. If faced with something that huge it would be tempting to do a half-assed job.

Yeah, I'll be laser printing the decals, and the outlines of the banners. There'll probably be about half an A4 sheet of decals for the whole titan.

Loving the titan, but just wondering what colours you used on the legs?

Black undercoat.
Tamiya gunmetal (x-10)
Mix in Tamiya chrome silver (x-11) to highlight
Tamiya dark green 2 (x-70) as base for the green areas
Highlight with Tamiya flat green (x-5)
Gold trim based in VMC bronze,
Gloss with future / klear (old uk formula)
Oils washes with burnt umber.
Gold retouched; shade with a black/bronze mix, highlight with a bronze/VMA gold mix. Glaze smooth with bronze.

The Tamiya and gloss stages are done by airbrush. All blending on the gold is by hand. Don't really have the time to mask everything.

Because I loves me some freehand... and cos I started doing this to cover up a rough surface on the Vulcan Bolter I'd failed to spot and got carried away and now have to do the whole damn thing to match...

The morning star is an outline decal painted in to keep it precise.

Oh good Lord man....

I think I'm going to print out a poster of those pics and put it on the wall of my man cave for inspiration.

And this sort of thing is exactly why I never even bother to enter painting competitions.

Phenomenal work there, chief.

I hear you there! my parents always said, no matter how good you think you are there's always someone better out there! and Winterdyne is that man! may as well give him a trophy now?

I've got no illusions here; diorama is a hell of a category to go in; competition will be fierce. I'll be quite happy with a pin. But a trophy would be nice, yeah, 'specially as this piece is in the 'send to Singapore' crate when it's done.

I can't even imagine how good another entry would have to be to beat your piece.

Best of luck, in the meantime I can't wait to see more.

Stunning work winterdyne!

May I ask what paints you are using? I'm thinking on moving over to Vallejo paints from the GW ones- I hear good things about them and they are more value for money too.

I use a mix of paints. My collection of Vallejo Model Air is becoming larger. Generally like all the ones I've used. Still like GW Skull white though. And the new base colours are good, as were the old foundation paints and washes. New washes, I've only got nuln oil, which is ok...

Don't get hung up on how much paint you get for your buck, it's all about the quality, you will rarely use a whole pot of anything, unless batch painting a whole army (the cost of which dwarfs the cost of paint anyway). I still have several paints that are over 20 years old now.

I guess you're right- I've still got a few old GW paints kicking about! Anyhoo, good luck with the project!
