Was it confirmed that warlocks can join any unit? Some posts seemed to indicate that warlocks can be only attached to guardian, storm guardian, and gaurdian jetbike units.
According to the reliable guy (at least reliable the last few books) it's guardian squads (bikes/storm/regular) and wraith squads ( cc/shooting). But we'll have to wait and see. It isn't like it couldn't be cast from another warlock before the tank takes off. You only need one turn for the tactic to work. Automatically Appended Next Post: Warlocks are suppose to act like Royal Courts so I assume you could keep them in a unit. Just would cost a pretty penny. And you'd need to take 2 Farseers to hopefully get Fortune.
Fun fact, you can cast a twin-linking ability twice if your a Farseer now. Eldar Primaris (guide) and Divination Primaris. Kinda gross as an ally if Guide can be used on non-elder units.

the blessing option of warlock powers is the unit they are in only.

This codex has far exceeded my expectations.
If everything Raziel is saying is legit, I will be one happy Eldar player.

Shooting is King of 6th! Does that mean Eldar will be too?
With the info that Raziel's been giving out, I've managed to cobble together an approximate 1500pt list for a local tourny in a couple of months too.

So is the Wraith Knight S8 or S10? That guy on that thread says it's S10 but I'm not sure who's misunderstanding what here but I fail to see the point of a +1S AP2 sword if I'm a S10 monstrous creature.

Is the Wraith-flyer-thingy armed with two of those S4 AP2 warprift flamers and a third weapon?
he always comes with the terrify psychic power (telepathy) no roll allowed
2 heavy warpscythes, ghostbreaker, soulstones.
That's the quote, but I'm not sure what's a heavy warpscythe or a ghostbreaker.

Heavy D-Scythe (in English) is S4 AP2 24" small blast I believe. Has the same Auto-wound + ID on 6/ Auto-pen on a 6 rule too.
"Ghostbreaker" forces all units, friend or foe, to re-roll successful morale and pinning tests apparently.

it also has the terrify psychic power so that cool.
their is also a psychic power to lower ld by 3 on enemy unit within 18" of the unit who has it (the blessing side s fearless for the unit)

Suncannon is heavy 3 S6 AP2 small blast, and the 'Heavy Phantombeamer' is just S10 AP2 heavy 1, and the Heavy Phantombeamer is supposed to be the main ranged weapon on the Wraith Knight? I'd say the Suncannon is the best weapon that thing can get.
Any word yet on what kind of invulnerable save the Scatter Shield gives? 5++? 4++? 3++? Melee only or also ranged?

Yeah these guys aren't making much sense. They're saying a guy who ignores armour saves with S10 can upgrade to a weapon that gives him AP2 and +1S
I'd also like to know the stats on Scatter Lasers, since the Wraith Knight should be able to get 2 of them to complement the Suncannon.

I'd also like to know the points costs to arm War walkers with dual scatters. I could see that being less viable as so many people own 9 of them.

Is there any reserve manipulation in the Codex? The new fliers appear to hit like trucks but are absolutely paper thin, so they really need to come on after enemy fliers or they are just going to get shot out of the sky (particularly if the Warlock power that gives Shrouding can only be cast on his own unit).
Is the Wraithknight Fearless (or similar)? I think peoples dreams of using it as a CC beatstick could come crashing down if you can sweep it.
I'm thoroughly confused with the Suncannons on the Wraithknight, I'm sure in the battle report it had dual Suncannons and was running around decimating infantry. If the shield option is only a 5++ I can't see anyone using it much, when you are T8 3+ to start with and can get access to a 5++ by putting your toe in terrain dropping a S10 weapon to get it is a terrible idea.
@Therion. People seem to be confusing the Wraithknight sword upgrade and the Wraithlord sword upgrade, haven't seen anyone clearly stating the rules for both in the same post so nothing reliable yet.

Autarchs can give reserve-wide +1/-1.
All Wraith stuff is Fearless.
You can apparently only have 1 Suncannon.

My apologies if I read the scythes as AP5 and they are AP2... lack of glasses + exhaustion from work kicking in. And I posted this at 8.00am my time without coffee... that said; flamer wraiths = noms... That said; fluff wise; the scythes are means to mow down infantry, eg guard/orks. Not mow down terminators. S10 AP1 will do that nicely. Also ALL distort weapons have the Distort rule - so scythes, cannons, wraith cannons and the lance from the knight - ID on 6's and auto pen on 6's. So your D3 per scythe overwatch can instant death greater deamons (noms!)

So far the effectiveness of 10 Wraithblades with Ghost Axes:
Tanked 2 Leman Russ squadrons (including the battle cannons and the triple plasma variant); whilst also getting wailed on by everything imaginable in a Fortress of Redemption. Only to get into CC with the tanks and open them up.
2000 points worth of Necrons with Forgeworld additions. Got into CC with a court of Lords and opened them up.
Killed a GUO.
Killed Angrath the Gargantuan Bloodthirster in an Apoc game (with the help of Iranna the Spirit Seer).
Ate a Hammerhead, pathfinders and scored after 3 turns of walking towards a 2000 point Tau gunline and overwatch!
And counting............ |

Sorry if you are all getting confused.
The wraith lord and the wraith knight both use the same cc weapon, ghost glaive
Ghost glaive is +1str,ap2, master crafted.....so yes on the knight the +1 str does nothing....
to clear up WRAITH KNIGHTS EVEN MORE!!
they can be taken in 3 ways
dual heavy wraithcannon (36" str 10, ap2, warprift)
ghost glaive and shield (+1str, ap2, master crafted and 5++ invuln)
suncannon and shield (24" str 6 ap 2 heavy 3 small blasts and the 5++ invuln)
YOU ALSO take 2 of the following 3 heavy weapons
scatterlaser (shoots first if it hits you get twin linked)
shuriken canon
sTarcannon
DONT KNOW ANYTHING BUT BASE COST WHICH IS 10 LESS THAN A LAND RAIDER

You are assuming that Warlocks get access to Divination, and I would be very surprised if they did (otherwise EVERYONE will just take Divination on every Warlock and twin link their entire army). If they don't then your chances drop quite a bit, 1-2 Farseers and thats it. I still think people are seriously overestimating the effectiveness of Warlocks spamming psychic powers, they are only ML1 and Conceal isn't a particularly amazing power so you can't base strategies around them (you can probably rely on getting 1 specific power for 1 specific unit, but not 1 specific power for multiple of the same units, which is what you need for a successful army with redundancy). That and they are only Ld8.
@Theorius. You sure about the Wraithknight weapon? The sword on the Wraithknight is literally the height of a Wraithlord and yet it gives it the same buffs as the sword the Wraithlord carries (and completely pointless ones at that)? It seems like you have to be crazy to run the assault version based on the info I have seen so far.

I am 100% positive the leaker said they get ghost glaives...thats it....
I am also 100% positive he said SPIRITSEERS can take divintion, fate....regular farseers can take diviation, telepathy, runes of fate AND warlocks are runes of war only

suncannon and two starcannons thats alot of ap2 madness!!!! maybe take suncannon, scatter and 1 starcannon for rerolls (if you can do that)
You can only fire two weapons as a MC. And, those will all likely jack up the cost, on an already expensive unit.
EDIT: Wherein I can nearly get two Warp Hunters, for the cost of a single Wraith Knight, with a Large Blast D weapon, and a torrent D weapon.
