Settle down in back, Vik. We'll be there soon.
Ahh, cool NF. I thought some of the cables on them looked familiar in shape, thought it was just coincidence.
Cables/wires/pipes/tubes for the win.

I am now, just now, as you read this, settling down to poke some putty...then...

Fixed it for you Theo. So, I will say that colour shapers are AWESOME for putty work. You can poke and prod, caress, smooth, llama and re-distribute putty without it sticking to the tool AT ALL (no moisture needed ). I'll have to wait until it's set and I can give it a lick of primer before showing you, as all you'd see are vague white shapes. If you want to putty, you want to get some of these colour shapers. No Llamas.

Well Dave, I haven't tried it on an actual llama yet, but I would think it might take a while to shear a whole one with a colour shaper...
Good News; I have a picture to show you.
Axes 6.3, 1.2 and 5.
I tried adding contacts for the small wires on the axe heads, but I couldn't get the balls of putty small enough (this may be a paint job like the contact points on the WS).
I added a vent to the top of the battery, well I say vent; at the moment it just looks like a slightly rough oval. I'll attack this with a scalpel later to see if I can make it more vent-like.
The main work was on the grips. I tried to make the grip on #1.2 diagonal (as opposed to the horizontal detail on the other two), but that seems to have ended up not quite defined enough and may be another scalpel job later.
I also did a few other small putty jobs, they're not really worth showing, but they aid progress.
Next up will be the grips, handles, hands and guards for the swords.

Loving this army. I admit I haven't made it through all 22 pages yet, but I got a kick out of reading your fluff. I'll definitely by following this one from now on... not a lot of P&M blogs have this kind of entertainment value! Are you still using those enamel paints, though? I also came to 40k through scale modeling and I can't imagine using that stuff on all the tiny details...

Welcome Owain. Take your time, there's no rush as I'm not the fastest of updaters, but there is always something going on... Glad you enjoyed the fluff. I'm not taking it seriously so I can enjoy writing it and just let loose some Llamas... no, silliness . It's nice to know that people are being entertained as much as I am by it all. Yep, I'm still using Enamels and not really finding I have any major problems with them. Although I did branch out with the paint for the WS, but that was all very experimental, so I can't really compare, not having tried Acrylics as the main paint. Maybe I am making things difficult for myself, but it doesn't feel like it... and I don't want to have to buy and learn another whole set of paints... Good to have you aboard.
