Hi Guys, I've got a near-finalised my Ork Dakkajet list with you and hopefully won't be making any changes to it, but I thought I'd share it with you and see what you think of it so here goes:

This list is designed to get the most out of the 3 Dakkajets in it, whilst being able to cope on the earlier turns of the game without it by piling pressure on.

Some Feedback would be appreciated as to how it will fare though

I've not played against Orks since 6th dropped, but the list looks reasonable on paper.

I'm not a fan of Weirdboyz personally, but for the points I can't think of any other viable options really. The one thing I might change is to split the lootas into 3 units rather than 2, just so you can target more units.

It's looking good though

warp head is so that if he rolls a 6 ( he can re roll ) he can call a wagh, and on a wagh his dakka jets shoot x2 times

I am thinking about swapping a warphead for a KFFBM However, but I think the lootas are fine, if i have less in a squad, they will be more likely to run away and I need a squad to hold the COMMS Relay, so one of the loota squads will need to stay there, do you guys reckon if i drop a warphead and RPJ on the Wagons It would be good to include a KFFBM instead?

the lootas will be fine as long as you put them in cover and if you want to help the battlewagons along the way, then a KFF big mek wouldnt be a bad swop for the warphead and RPJ.

Also suggesting to take some KFF Meks to ride in the wagons. It makes them much more durable after all, and they are the targets your opponent is going to be shooting until the dakkajets hit the board from reserve.
Not a big fan of ork psykers, but that might just come from my bad luck with their rolls lol.

You guys are missing the point. The Warpheads are meant to maximize the chance of them rolling a WAAAGH! on their powers charts, allowing the x3 Jets to get 18 TL str6 shots per turn. So dont change that, you could PM Jidmah and ask how this seems to work out, because I konw he ran 2 warpheads for this very reason for a little while anyways.

Id also suggest splitting the 2 large loota units into 3 more even units. Trust me, 3 units is far better then 2, always. So stop arguing with us, just do it. Trust me. You wont lose any points and all youll gain is a more effective build.

Id say, depending on what your playing against, probably hang the BW spam back a turn or 2 until those jets come in and start hammering on your opponents and then start hauling ass. Reason being, a BW will get smoked fairly easy by some armies, so give yourself a little extra breathing room. Not to mention, it might also force your opponent to come for you, which is always a good thing

Thanks for the Comments, Whilst Speaking to Jidmah I found out that 2 Warpheads may not be the way to go, as he's not had too much success with them, So I think going down the KFFBM road may be better here, and this will help me free up some points to pop more firepower in.

Revised List:

HQ:

Big Mek 90

As you can see, I now have more lootas for additional firepower and one additional unit has been added to help with firing at different units. The Warpheads have gone as they are too reliable and arguably the KFF can provide just as good, if not better benefits for my army, especially if night fight is active during the early turns of the game. Any additional feedback would be appreciated.

Id say thats a pretty solid looking list. The only problem I can see you running into is the fact that at 1850, your whole army will be sitting in 3 BW. So again, depending on what your fighting, youd probably want to hide/hang those back until the jets come in and shoot a few key things down. Because I can comfortably say, that a good IG or Tau force in that points range, will have an easy time blowing up 3 battlewagons.

Yeah bro. I play orks and love the Dakka Jet. I have been having good luck with BW in 6th, but the paucity of targets in an 1850 point game is going to get those wagons popped in a hurry and lootas heading for the hills immediately. I am very much looking forward to play testing a list nearly identical to yours.

I would try to buff the leadership of the lootas... somehow. Either 2 squads of 15 or something nearby with a bosspole.

My BWs are set up similarly, but if you get 2 weapon destroyed, your BW is toast. Consider adding another BS or Kannon, since you can't lose the deff rolla to a "Weapon Destroyed" roll. At least consider adding them to the 2 wagons that don't contain the Big Mek.

Then again. I always seem to lose....

Overall... I like it.

Oh, I just read you haven't bought the minis yet...

In order:
Yes to the boyz (60 all at once)
Yes to the BM w KFF
Yes to the lootas (15 in first round of buying)
Yes to the BW (buy 1)
Yes to the DakkaJet (buy 1)

Next:
Buy another 15 lootas
Then
Alternate BW / DakkaJet.

Get those babies painted!

Purchasing like this will get you playing with a similar list and keep you motivated to get you to your ultimate goal faster. Also... don't glue the vehicles... MAGNETIZE!!!! Don't get in a hurry... plan it out. You'll be happy you did when your buddies are proxying stuff and you can just click things on.

a "nearby" bosspole wont allow you to help buff their leadership by allowing you to re roll failed moral checks. the unit has to have a model that has the option to purchase a bosspole in order to have the ability to use it. lootas dont have that wargear option.

A Big mek with a SAG and a BP can coax cowardly lootas and fits nicely with cross table ranged attacks... just dont stand "too close.." BZZZZzzzzzaaaAAAAAAPPPP!!!!

Yeah if you wanted to help the lootas with a bosspole on the IC but it looks like the big mek would be better suited how he is with the KFF helping the battlewagons along the table, because he has 30 lootas as is for ranged attacks.

So what is the final verdict then, 3 squads of 10 or 2 of 15? 10 is more likely to run away but it gives me more stuff to fire at. I think the squads of 10 might be too risky as I need the lootas to stay where they are to use the comms relay and they will only recieve a 5+ cover from the Aegis Defence line. But what do you guys think?

Id bring back back both Warphedz!

Id also drop the BW's - use the points to bring in 9 Lobbaz and the rest to bulk out your boys.
