Like the title said, did someone ever asked you silly/ strange/ idiotic question about Warhammer 40.000 hobby or lore?

I once had a poker face moment when some guy asked me to tell him something about 40k lore.
I told him that the capital of Imperium and Mankind is Holy Terra, he said to that:
"Really? The capital of Mankind is Holy Terra? What about Earth then? Does it still exists?"
I was like

I would love to see someone top this.

I play Tau, and was one asked if there was an Alpha through Omega armies by a guy in my ancient history and languages class. He might have been messing with me but he seemed pretty serious on it.
I've also been asked why Warhammer 40,000 copied Starcraft with the Space Marines and the Tyranids being a copy of the other race.

I was once asked by a co-worker the following question.

You see if I came along to your Warhammer club with a figure could I play?

I replied: Normally you need more than one figure but yeah you could come along.

He replied with: I could take like the Rock or Stone Cold? They would surely win over some little plastic dudes. The Rock and Stone Cold are much bigger so they'd win in a fight.

Had someone mention that at a local gaming convention this weekend, I pointed out that it in the end is much cheaper than the game he was playing(Magic the Gathering) because though there is a huge upfront cost after the army is built you dont need to invest much money besides the occasional new unit or maintinance costs(glue paint etc for repairs).

I tried once to play a game with my girlfriend, which was quite funny.. I set up the bord and some models and explained the basic rules. When I told her we used dice to calculate what happens in close combat, she stared at me with confusion in her eyes and said:

"You mean, you really use calculations and stuff? I thought you just made some noises and removed models at random.."

It was not a very enjoyable game..
