So we have a tau player in our group. And he tends to make his Tau army into(what seems like) CC beast. His 2 remaining FW killed a lictor(an many other cc specialist) .

His drones can wipe out ork bikes, His battle suit can take on a 5 man termy squad.

And he just has the best luck in CC with his FW....

Dakkalance I seem to have the same luck as your friend with tau in combat because I have had FW killing terminators, space marines, orks and MCs like skarbrand also one of the best moments was shadowsun killing 2 carnifexs combat.

Yeah If I had to choose between TH/SS termies and FW to charge, I would pick the termies! no way Im gonna make it out alive against the FW

Dwarf Gyrocopter against my empire knights, knights are run off the table by saud gyrocopter. the one lone crossbowmen who had charged into help managed to stick his crossbow in the mechanism which sent the gyrocpter spinning into my steam tank, destroying both the tank and the copter.

Little crossbowmen just looked at the devastation he had caused with disbelif

One of my labalites killed three carnifexs

I fired twice (in the whole game!) at a Dark Apostle with a lasgun equipped trooper. Guy rolled 2 ones.

5th Edition Auto-Tie mission. Ork Nobz N' Lootas vs IG Mech (me) Last turn and he's got me on the ropes, but he has Ghazkull coming to contest my objective (rest of Nobs were dead). He decides to shoot his Lootas at a stray Chimera as he has nothing else to do with them. Chimera Explodes. 6" range just BARELY knicking Ghaz, we agree it's close enough that we should 4+ it. It hits him. 6 to wound. 1 on armor save. Fails his 4+ FNP. Ghazkull dies and we tie rather than him winning.

Oh and on the other side of it (AKA Not killing) for awhile I was famous amongst my friends for terrible rolls and got 19 hits on a squad of Necrons. 4+ to wound. 1 wound went through, 18 failed to wound. That's my "Most Ridiculous FAIL in a Game"

did a 3 on 3 match earlier in the year in 5th ed. I managed to pop a necron monolith and explode it with one Tau Broadside. If that wasn't good enough, there were 12 Ork boys sat right by the side of it. BYE BYE ORKS! I adore the Tau Railgun. It should be renamed the widowmaker.

Just after 3rd was release I had a game against 'Nids with my IG. In those days Spore mines would explode with effectively an ordnance blast if you shot them and you coud buy them as a fast attack (I think) choice. My opponent set up with a skirmish line of spore mines right in front of his army with a few actually within the main body of his troops.

My very first shot of the game was with a Leman Russ whose battle cannon caused a spore mine chain reaction that wiped out virtually his whole army. The few dazed survivors were mopped up by the end of turn 2 and I hadn't suffered a single casuality.

I think a valuable lesson was learned that day.

At the dawn of the current DE Codex in 5th ed.
A Talos survived 4 instances of Living Lightning in 1 turn only to be hacked apart by a 5 man pack of blood claws...

Broadside exploded a Vendetta that came in on turn 4 and killed the entire command squad inside. I really enjoyed it because that player was a real jerk.

Oh, and a 6 man squad of Firewarriors killed a Master of the Forge when he charged and got mowed down in overwatch.

Oh I love threads like these.

I have to date taken down three fliers with haywire grenades.

A vendetta and a stormraven by rolling 3 6's in a row, and a second vendetta by getting an immobilized result and then turbo-boosting all of my jetbikes in its way. Because of Locked Velocity, it could not move past them, it had to come up short and therefore crashed itself.

Do I win?

My weirdest kill involved a Big Mek with Shokk Attak Gun. He fires at a unit of necron immortals atop a ruin, I roll 'Zoink' so he teleports in melee with them.
The Necron player grins evilly as a single nob-statted HQ against the immortals doesn't have much of a chance in melee against five immortals, only armed with a 6+ save and a normal CCW.
My Mek proceeded to wreck two immortals, The other three failed morale and ran off - I almost swept him.

It gives me the mental image of soulless machines running in fear from one angry mechanic armed with a wrench.

My wackiest not-kill involved a Junka, an odd vehicle with a Shokk Attack Gun turret and a deffrolla. I managed to move in a crater and throw a track (roll 1 for DT, reroll, another 1, immobilized). Then I shoot the Doom of Mal'anthai with the SAG, and roll a Zoink. So the immobilized Junka teleported to the Doom to ram it with the deffrolla! (Sadly it survived the ram, but we had lots of laffs)
Just goes to show, orks don't care if it looks good as long as it works. If the engine fails, just teleport that darn tank! hah!

Horror of Tzeentch bolts a Stormraven, rolls a six and kills the Stormraven, four of five Sternguard and takes a hull point off a Ironclad's rear armour.

So last 40k game.

A unit of Khorne Bezerkers with Chaos Lord with Axe of Khorne charged my Grandmaster and 2 remaining terminator buddies.

Khorne Lord challanges, I accept with the Grandmaster. Grandmaster gibs the Khorne Lord before he swings(Halberd) and the Bezerkers finish off the Terminators.

Next round its 5 Zerkers vs Grandmaster. Grandmaster kills 3 bezerkers. 2 remaining swing back. 3 wounds. I fail all 3 saves

Thats an epic way to go from WIN! to DAMMIT!!



My first game with Orks had a cool moment similar to that. Some SM HQ with a relic blade was slicing and dicing boyz left and right, Im talking near cheating levels of killing! So I moved my PK Boss up there to make some noise. I get him up there and naturally he was JUST outside of assault distance. So Boss gets charged. The SM whatsit fails every single relic blade attack, and my boss ID the cocky Marine. Hilarious

Yup, if that hadn't happened I would have won. Instead I got tabled

Hey I lost that game I posted about with the Biker Boss dying to a fething storm bolter And I think its because the boss wasnt there to smack heads around

i killed fate-weaver in my first 2 rounds this is one of my favorite moments and my brother kept telling me how screwed i was the look on his face pr i c l e ss.

One shoota boy killing Darnath Lysander, the finest of the imperial fists on one on one combat. That is my best kill.

Back when I was in my 'nid phase, I was playing another Tyranid player. I took One-Eye, and this game made me absolutely love using him.

Anyway, The first round of assault he got into, he took out a squad of eight gargoyles. The next turn, he moved on to absolutely demolish a unit of genestealers (the exact number has escaped me, it's been a while). The turn after that, he took out a Hive Tyrant and a tyrant guard. Then, he fell to a shot from a Tyrannofex. That is the largest killstreak of anything I have ever used in 40k.

Aw, now I want to play nids again...

Earlier Edition of 40k... friend scratch built baneblade with old white dwarf plans... i actually painted it when he was done. First round after he deployed... assasin in terminator armor TH/SS teleport right ontop of it and after close combat blew it up with one hit... was at old comic store even so my friend was not happy and everyone else was mixed about laughing or being respectful on the matter.... my friend never played a heavy tank against me after that so that was my experience with a super heavy lol... i think it was maybe 2nd Edition when you could do that... maybe RT or 3rd was long ago.

An early edition of Fantasy... Naggash (spelling?) fought battle against Karl Franz (Spelling?) ... resulting in Karl Franz becoming a wight! LOL. Another classic was my brother in earlier edition with Brets... my undead destroyed him so much and caused him to flee all over the place from fear and over running him... he cried! ... yeah i was a good big brother.. i snaped a pic of him and still have it somewhere .

Epic 40k Warlord rolling all 1's with plasma cannon....

Recent... my stepson... playing Grey Knight Terminators... i decided to have fun with him with a force containing 3 Land Raiders (1 Godhammer and 2 crusaders)... he holed up in some cover... mistake... destroyed his entire 2000 point force to the man and took only my commander and his honor guard casualty (after they killed some terminators with melta guns. The Godhammer was the MVP droping storm raven first round, secon round killing a vindicare assasin, and third round destroying a las cannon dreadnaught. This was 5th Edition just b4 6th edition rules were released.

I killed logan grimnar (sp?) with bolt pistols from a scout squad that just came in from reserves. Bolt pistols for the win!

My personal coolest kill was playing against one of by buddies orks. My squad of bloodclaws (as bloodclaws always do) got surrounded. As the close combat ensued his 30 boyz squad with sluggas inevitably whittled down my bloodclaws. When turn 5 hit he charged in to close combat with nob squad and warboss. Luckily (us both being new) his warboss and 2 nobs were in base contact with Lukas the Trickster. His warboss's powerklaw finally killed Lukas activating the stasis bomb in the stead of his secondary heart. He rolled a 4 and I rolled a 5. The resulting explosion took out 2 boyz, the warboss, and 2 nobs. Very satisfying despite losing the game.

This isn't quite as extreme as most counts, but one of my Striking Scorpion Exarchs is pretty good at downing Space Marine characters due to higher Initiative and the Biting Blade getting him Instant Death.

Back in 4th 12 man fw squad taking out 5 man terminator squad in one round of shooting.

Same game (I was new and unfamiliar with tanks playing another noob with a mutual friend ref'ing the game) the SM player tank shocks my kroot with rhino. Krootox death or glories and destroys rhino causing an explosion and all inside transport to die.
