Runnin up on ya.

lol. I'm hoping there's not too many casting problems because I simply don't have the time to be dunking restic in hot water; I've got old-dude problems, more money but less nerd-time.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

After all this metal business, the figure I most want to see is the Helfather. If anyone here gets that figure, please put up some good close-up shots. I'd really like to get a Helfather in the next survey if the metal casting quality is good.

I'm personally pulling for an entire Helfather faction in the next Deadzone expansion. And according to Stewart, there are some people in the Mantic offices hoping for the same thing, so it's a possibility. I'm not really a Forge Fathers type of guy, but Chaos Dwarfs in space would be too cool to pass up.

(I never said my tastes in miniature races were logical or consistent.)

Are you suggesting the people who paid for shipping shouldn't get their stuff first? They absolutely should. By the way, I did not pay for shipping, so I don't expect to get mine before those who did. However, I was also in the first group of people to get dread ball season three stuff, so it comes down to luck of the draw.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Crap. Mrs Souleater had to go to work unexpectedly so there was nobody home to accept the DZ stuff.

Had to email Mantic to try and get it delivered to work instead.

@Souleater Was it sent by Royal Mail or UPS? If by UPS you can go to their website, but in the notice info and change delivery options. I usually have to do that for wine since they want a signature and they always stop by about an hour before I get off work.

Oh my that looks somewhat awesome Glad I got 1-2 of those after all. Still torn as to whether or not to do away with the mold lines. As a rule I always do, but there will be sooooo much terrain =/

Well I decided to go the openday this year to get my dz stuff early. Guess I should have just waited at home in that case but at least its given me the kick up the arse needed to go to an openday, plus theres always the goody bag and trade stand.

regarding metal figures, not that fused ive done nearly a quater of a century assembling them so no probs.

bit strange tho that the helfather didnt sell enough to justify restic, I thought he was awesome and was very popular in the ks comments.

Oh and I guess the ruined scenery sprue is wave2? I went kinda large on that one so I guess il have to wait a bit longer for my scenery fix.

I just found out I got screwed... Mantic misprinted my address, and UPS apparently has abandoned my package on the airport customs at Buenos Aires, 1200 km from where I live...

I think you got me. I almost thought this was serious for a second.

Mantic is (once again) shipping and delivering a KS early, and there's complaints that the people who paid extra for faster shipping are actually getting their stuff first?

Make sure you gave them your correct address! I would assume KS info exports into the various popular shipping solutions (UPS WorldShip, USPS Dazzle, etc)

Regardless you can have UPS reroute packages. And UPS certainly doesn't abandon packages; they'll stay in a sorting center until someone fixes the error.

That gun is pretty neat.

It will be hard to resist building one up and making pew pew noises with it.

I went ahead and switched out my mercs that ended up being in metal now (Helfather and Boomer) and went ahead and got the acrylic counters instead.

Will wait and see what they look like before I order them during round two.

I don't mind the metal myself, but my kids tend to be a little rough and the plastic seems to survive them better, especially after being sealed/ inked/ dipped/ wrapped in bubblewrap.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

That is looking very nice indeed. The gun is huge, you could use it as a tank turret or something.

That emplacement looks more like a toy than a piece of wargames scenery. Admittedly toys are used as terrain, but it just looks awfully simplistic to me.

See, the guns awesome in my mind. However, I've already got like 120 quids worth of planetstrike terrain so I decided only to get the one kit of it for the options.

I selected 2 Ruined, 1 fort, 1 landing pad as part of the extra scenery, will all of it be held back as the Ruins aren't done yet, or will I just get the ruins later?

The address I gave correctly on the KS form apparently was pasted to UPS without the state information, BUT it has the proper zip code, so it shouldn't be a problem. The problem is that the package was categorized as "cargo", and UPS claims that only the owner can collect it at the airport in Buenos Aires. I only found out because the package was supposed to be here on Tuesday and it was a no-show and I called them. The local UPS had me call UPS Buenos Aires. They actually told me that "UPS cannot contact everyone" when there are problems! It's a 7 pound box! Hardly a container full of drugs! Now they say that unless I go and claim it there, 800 miles away, it's abandoned cargo. Don't even know if they can return it to Mantic. So, yes, UPS kinda abandoned my stuff.

Every time Mantic used Royal Mail, I got my stuff, no problems, went to the post office and received it. Just received my S3 Dreadball stuff on Wednesday. First time they use a "door-to-door" courier, I get the shaft... I just sent an email asking for a refund, for my 772 dollars Deadzone order and my 105 dollars LOKA order (which apparently will also use UPS!). Sorry, I am so mad right now I just want to

UPDATE: UPS managed to inform me, after 5 calls, that the package will be returned to Mantic in 4 weeks if I cannot claim it.

So let me get this straight.

Mantic missed off the state information off your shipping label, despite the zip code and presumably the country being on there.

UPS delivered to Buenos Aires, despite it being on a different continent and using a completely different zip code system to the US (so therefore your zip code isn't valid in Argentina).

UPS doesn't bother to try and deliver nor will they recognise their mistake at sending a parcel to a continent where the shipping information (even if part of it was missing) is completely invalid.

This DZ package arrived in Beunos Aires on Tuesday, despite the first packages to UK buyers arriving today (Thursday).

I was at Mantic HQ on Monday and not a single DZ package had been dispatched or packed yet when they closed for the day.

So on Tuesday morning, Mantic were able to pack your order (and only your order), have UPS pick it up and deliver it to Argentina, all the space of maximum 12 hours?

And upon finding out that your package has been lost in the post, rather than email Mantic to find out what's going on and leaving them a reasonable amount of time to rectify any problems you request an immediate full reimbursement.

Oh yeah, and also no non-EU parcels have been dispatched yet at all because Mantic haven't sorted the customs paperwork yet but somehow magically yours has.

Have I got that right?

Maybe it was a Dreadball package or something else? Maybe it was Loka? It's not like he can even see the package to tell what it is.
