As awesome as a 54mm Levi would be, I'm way more (wishlistfully) excited at the thought of a 54mm APC.

FYI i just noticed that northstar miniatures have got quite a few dreamforge kits for about 1/3 off at the moment, including the 15mm leviathan for £28 instead of £45!
and the valkir kits are all reduced too - bargains!

I would think miniaturemarket.com. The 20 man a aloof heavy trooper box is $44.25, and this week they have a summer sale with an extra 5% off.

Shipping is dear lately yeah, I'm looking at making a local group order to share the load. Need those APCs and some regular Valkir. Lot of love for DFG goods around here.

Shipping is insane... Go to USPS.com and enter in a priority international mail at 1.1lbs. It’s crazy!

Just a few years back the same package was $6.95

Better off buying local if you’re not this side of the pond. For the UK and other heavily taxed EU, between the 20% VAT 10% fees and the shipping….

This is a rather incomplete list of the vendors I know of http://dreamforge-games.blogspot.com/p/stockists-and-retailers.html

Have you considered using First Class shipping instead of Priority NoseGoblin? I haven't shipped nearly so much as you of course, but I have had good luck using First Class for international shipments since the insane price hike in postal rates last year. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!

I appreciate mark coming in here I always love seeing the creators making the rounds in the forums, makes them more personable and less GW wannabes.

The sale is awesome, and I'm tempted to buy more leviathans, because three plastic and a resin aren't enough, not including the mini leviathan. Especially with GW releasing more rules for counts as knights .

From what I see domestically, there's very little difference after you add mandatory tracking, even less if you add insurance.

The real key is getting boxes under 1 foot per side, so you don't incur dimwt charges.

I agree about the slight difference domestically - but the price difference is extremely dramatic for international shipping! I know this because I've shipped a lot of things overseas (the Dakka Dice orders in particular) on a pretty regular basis... I used exclusively Priority Mail before the price increase, and switched over to First Class since. I haven't had anything get lost since doing so, and even Priority Mail does not include tracking on international packages.

Part of the reason I'm asking, is the price increase was so severe, that I felt they might be trying to drive people to switch over to First Class. It seems to be the only reasonable option for shipping small packages... I was low on time sending out my ModCube samples, and used two Priority Mail small flat rate boxes to ship the UK samples - $25 apiece, so $50 just for sending two tiny packages! It seems non-viable to do this for small orders, so I'm curious if other folks have had good results with shipping internationally using First Class (as I have so far, but I'd love to compare!).

No tracking is a deal killer for a commercial company. A real company can't really afford the risk of no tracking because of lost packages and those scammer "missing" packages that actually did arrive...

As a customer in the UK I pretty much can't order from the US any more unless I'm offered the First Class option, anything else is just too expensive,

remember those of us in Europe have to pay tax (VAT at 20% for the UK) on the postal costs too which just makes the Priority costs even worse

on the other hand since it's not tracked or insured whether a company is willing to offer it may depend on how frequently stuff 'does not arrive' (both genuinely and from scammers trying to pull a fast one), so I can see why some would rather give up on their foreign customers

For me, it does not make sense to ship 1st class for a few reasons.

1) I have distributors that carry my product in most countries.

2) I will not send anything that cannot be tracked.

3) (Most important) My contract warehouse/shipper has a hard time shipping 1st class mail. They end up shipping them priority and when I have a sale like this I lose money on every purchase. I think their system cannot tell the difference between 1st class and priority, it just sees USPS. As I like the job they are doing and they provide a very reasonable rate when compared to other service providers, it does not make sense for me to look ells where as these costs would ultimately be passed to my customers.
