That's a nice spot, no objections here. I'm seeing a lot of people setting up nearer to spawn, which is nice. Except TikkaMasala, who is just off doing their own thing

I am just doing that for the safety of you all as i don't know how large the crater will be once my fusion power plant decides to act up

Yeah, it's a very scenic location and it's relatively close to spawn. And for once, it's not a snow biome! For some reason I seem to end up picking snowy biomes, I don't know what the feth is wrong with me.

Fun fact 1: Rainbow Trees indeed fight taint and revert the biome back into what it originally should be.
Fun Fact 2: Deffklok now has a bunch of rainbow trees outside his place. Automatically Appended Next Post: I relinquish dibs on the previous Sacred Grove. Found an isolated island.

My MFR harvesters had stopped working so I was dismantling itemducts connected to them. It could have been something to do with that, but i won't be online to check up on that until tomorrow.

I've put all your items in a resonant strongbox in the Nexus portal room on the new server. I've locked it to prevent thefts or tampering, so nag me when we're both online and I'll unlock it.
There seems to be a hard limit on the number of items that can be taken through the portal at once. I'm not sure what it is, but try to avoid recursive storage when using the QCraft portal.

It looks to have been at least something relating to itemducts that caused the crash. The error was to do with travelling items in the pipes (possibly a routing crash if you were dismantling the system - but I thought items were supposed to just drop on the ground if you disconnected all endpoints).

They were jamming and not harvesting, so i was removing itemducts to add chests behind them. I'll finish it off tomorrow, just before a scheduled shutdown so that the server restarts in the event of another crash.

MFR machines are designed to output to adjacent inventories. They don't play well with TE Itemducts and EnderIO Item Conduits. Machine->Chest->Itemduct works best.

I'm tempted to try and get back into this, but worried I'll come crashing in like the kool-aid man given how easily it breaks. Dark seems like that IT technician who fixes an error only to be told it happened again ten seconds later, and then Sam spilled his morning coffee on the keyboard and Jill might have kicked her PC because it was taking too long and now it won't work so it must be the computer's fault because it worked before, oh and Steve took the liberty of throwing out that new radio you bought the office because despite everyone being connected to it nobody could pick up any stations even after adjusting the antennas, and by the way nobody has any internet now for some reason we think it's because we're not close enough to a window for the computers to get a signal.
And if you could clear all these porn pop-ups off my desktop that'd be just ace.

I've restarted the server. It was stuck hung for some reason and the scheduled restarts weren't working. That's the second time it's happened so I might need to dust off my old Minecraft Beta 1.5 termination script (from back when old Beta Minecraft was buggy as hell)

How long are you keeping both servers up? I'm hoping to get my PC back sometime this or next week... I can transfer my own stuff over when I do... but not until then. :/

I'll be keeping the old server up for some time yet. At least a month. I've still got lots of non-Minecraft stuff to migrate before it can be decommissioned. I'll give fair warning when I do have an end date.

errrr, I randomly got disconnected from the server and now every time I log in I get:
Internal exception: java.io.IOException; Recieved string length longer than maximum allowed (30566 >64)
I was only on a stroll back to spawn :(

I'm getting that same error now. All I did was take the portal from Nexus to Spawn.
I was able to take books from Promised Land to Overworld and Overworld to Nexus just fine.
It's likely something near spawn.

...maybe it has to do with the named Turtle at spawn? Closest thing I can think of regarding strings.

I shouldn't think so, it's been there since last night without issue. I'm looking into other causes. People away from spawn seem to be able to log in and play just fine. If anyone knows what they recently changed at spawn and isn't saying, please do. Automatically Appended Next Post: Specifically, cptprice, with your 91 AE drives, did you put them all in recursive storage again?
