It's 2013 now, darling. You can admit to knowing who won an Oscar.

Regarding the Hunger Games, it's not nearly as bad as you think. I say that because it was not nearly as bad as I thought.

I'll give the latter a try, and seriously I have minimal interest in the whole process. I'll note deserving performances I see through out the year "Someone should give her/him a reward for that" and be pleased to hear they've won, but I don't bother watching the ceremony or anything.

Also there is NOTHING neutral about Sofia Vergara

Bit mannish above the neck, I'd say.

As far as Oscars -- I look at it as a barometer of what Hollywood wants us to think of it and what it wants to think of itself rather than what's good in film.

I had to google her. She's an odd duck, for sure. But I can understand the appeal.

That's the female portion of "Die Antwoord" isn't it? Not quite my cup of tea, but not a cup I'd say no to either.

Yes, Die Antwoord.

She is in the folder in my head with Fairuza Balk and some others as 'unconventionally attractive bad girls with a degree of mental instability I am convinced would be quite entertaining if the opportunity presented its self... ' I have a weak spot for frenetic lunatics.

And now I'll say no more, as my wife lurks this forum...

I like them both equally. Though I prefer Lawrence as a brunette like in Hunger Games, rather than the sorta-blonde she always has lately. She was friggin' hot in Hunger Games.

I like them both a great deal. I think Anne Hathaway is maybe a hair better of an actress technically, but there is something endearing in Jennnifer Lawrence as well.

The Dark Knight Anne: Dat Ass. First Class Jen - Dem Thighs in those mini-dresses.

That's quite enough of that.

Please God we do not start this relatively civil thread down the road to BrookM's 'Vore' postings... I didn't know what a Vore was till he started posting on dakka...

She was also really, really good in that movie. I bet if Nolan could do it again, he would have cast Jennifer Lawrence as Rachel Dawes.

Ack!

Now she is someone I find totally unattractive, she has the face of an old woman waxwork that's been left in the sun.

Bloody nightmare fuel imho.

Lawrence is really pretty, but she has one of those faces that looks way better in motion than it does still in pictures. Hathaway is really pretty, but I cannot fathom the excitement for her butt in batman. It's an absolutely average white girl butt.

That picture right there looks like my sister with longer hair and a creepy smile..... DO NOT WANT.

Anne Hathaway on the other hand is fine, and that Sophia whatsername doesn't really float my boat.

Does anyone else find it amusing how we're having a thread that is literally all about objectifying women right after the "Are Women Morally Superior?" thread?

I don't think Jennifer is pretty at all. She's off-putting to me, like Maggie Gyllenhaal. I mean, they (Jennifer and Maggie) are both good actors and Anne is not exactly my "dream girl" or anything but ... I don't know, I just don't see what people think is so beautiful about Jennifer Lawrence.

Yikes, I'm not a huge fan of Lawrence but comparing her to Gyllenhaal is just cruel.

That is not an attractive woman. There was one line in The Dark Knight that really drove home how insane and disconnected from reality the Joker was.

"And you are beautiful"

I loved her in Secretary, though.
