Probably work on a few areas where the chipping's been missed and then highlight the chip and larger patches of primer/metal.

But looks ok to me at the minute.

Thanks dude, I googled "nurgle symbols" and after getting a few ideas drew on the basic shape with a soft pencil, then filled it all in with paint. Simples !

Thanks mate, its fairly easy to do if you draw it out first and thin the paint right down !

Been plugging away at the boys Empire army.

Mostly finished the 40 odd archers , starting a block of spearmen next

Hope to get a bit done on the Nurgle force soon !

The FLGS was in-explicably closed today so me and the boy built some Empire priest, well I glued and he critised how they weren't quite how he wanted them , but close enough.

All in all a good raid of the bits skip, but not Camo! I'm needing my camo fix !

I have no idea why, but decided to assemble and paint an ogre kingdoms Yhetee that my eldest boy bought about 10 years ago and left it to gather dust , unglued and unloved.

It's metal, and was in a really static pose so with the aid of some pliers I made the pose more dynamic, a strip of leather in the pliers jaws stopped them ripping off too much detail.

With all the joints pinned and green stuffed and a bit of a beard added to fill the huge gap between body and head I decided to do the bulk of the fur with my airbrush just to see if i could, some shading was brushed in after but its largely just zenithal airbrushing. Face and hands in inks rather than paint, applied with a brush.

Its mostly done , but would like to finish the base with some snow effects when I get some hobby money again.

That is great! wish it wasn't so bright on top of him :-( but everything else looks solid! the base and legs in particular look good and with some snow it'll be even better! :-)

Thanks mate, to be honest my camera and lighting set up is poor at best , so I really should try harder in that respect. I'll see what I can do !

Got a little paint time in tonight , finished a few details on the Stug 40k and its now varnished ready for decals and oils.

Also the snow effect I ordered from ebay turned up so had a bash at snow on the Yhetee base, I've never tried snow before and was a bit unsure what to do, however I ended up making a thick mix with water effect and then spooning it on with an old brush, I'd put some tufts of grass on first and worked the mix into these so grass stood out of the snow.

I'll be honest , at this stage it didn't look too great, then I decided to sprinkle dry snow on top of the whole base , it stuck to the snow mix and grass really well and looks a lot like frost.

Reasonably chuffed with how its turned out, but still can't get the lighting right ! Sorry Nerdy !

The boy was out today, which meant i could paint what I liked !!!!

More or less finished my Stug 40, still debating whether to "dust it up" a bit or leave it as is.

I made the Stug modular in that the shurzen are magnetised in case it needs to be loyalist ( less noticeable nurgle symbols ) and the long barrel slides into the shorter weapon using friction to hold it.

Ready to finish the two Panzer 40's i have sitting here looking sorry for themselves, and will make a big effort tonight to finish the DeathGuard dread I started ages ago …!

Happy New Year !

Semi finished the Nurgle Dread tonight, it has been a pain as I dropped it onto a tiled floor and shattered all the resiny goodness, and for some reason the matt varnish has dried glossy

The Dread is great! glossy suits it being nurgley :-) perhaps you can offset the gloss by using a black powder to simmulate soot on the exhaust and weapons? the matt finish would look good imo? and perhaps the base in places or some some taller vegetation?

and I love the Nazombies :-) I'm actually jealous of the way you do them, the overall look to the clothing and the tonal variation from washes is brilliant and I love the look but cannot break from my style of painted details :-( so I'll have to settle for your ones to satisfy my passion for different styles :-)

I'd intended to matt varnish all over and then apply gloss varnish in streaks and patches to get the "ooze" look, bizarrely the whole thing looks more flat today , perhaps my varnish has "creeping matt-ness" !!

The soot is a very good idea tho, I wasn't happy with the exhausts , maybe that will fix them.

You crack me up Nerdy ! I learned to paint on white primer going from light into dark with washes, inks and glazes BECAUSE i just can't get the results I want from painting on black primer going dark to highlight ! I just don't have the fine brush control that people like you , Bebop and Raff ( to name a few on Dakka) have !

Tonight I added soot to the Nurgle Dreads weapon and exhausts , looks much better. Pics to follow maybe.

Then did a bit of work on my Panzer 40k Leman Russ stand- ins. Track links are tedious but look pretty good once on.

I was going to replace the main gun with a larger , more 40k weapon but I'm not so sure now, I think the original 1:32nd scale barrel looks pretty cool ? Thoughts anyone ?

Turrets are from Airfix 1:32nd scale Panzer IV's, resin parts and plasticard chassis the most excellent work of OneManNoodles ! Thanks matey !

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like your considered opinions.

I have come into possession of two really cheap Baneblades, one built , one on sprues and a shed load of spare bits and gubinz.

I think I could convert one to being nurgle fellblade and one to being a giant Sicarius.

Or I could sell the bits and use the money to buy Drop Pods for my boys Storm Wolves.

What do you think ? ! ?

While I'd love to see what you would do with them, from a practical POV, how much use would they get? Vs the pods? Which, while not very sexy, are very useful.

The Stug looks awesome, very well done.

Nice turrets the size looks perfect for the hulls.

Let me know if you need any weapons for those hull mounts

Thanks matey , i'm very happy with the Stug , just hope I can do justice to the Panzer 40's too. The Airfix turrets are ok aren't they ?
Already had some weapons from you !!!

Got a fair bit of work done today, mainly tidying up loose ends, but got the LandRhino Assault gun finished , basic one done and all magnetised to convert to Predator and just a set of tracks to finish on one Panzer 40.

A good day all up !

So , paint wise, I'm fairly sure I'll go with my standard Space Marine vehicle scheme for the LandRhino's i.e. Desert Yellow base with Panzer Grey disruptive stripes.

For the Panzer40's , go with the same as the Stug or perhaps a grey one and camo one ? ? ?

Thoughts anyone ?

I would urge anyone planning on doing large scale magnetising of their plastic crack not to do so whilst under the influence of alcohol and msg'ing chicks, I have managed to reverse polarity on the whole lot and have had to glue it together because I couldn't dig out the magnets without destroying the model !
