Markerlights are on the bottom of the barrels.

When you compare them to the pulse rifles, you can see the difference.

He just didn't paint the markerlight apertures in any glowing or easily noticeable color is all (from what I can see).

Under the barrels are underslung photon grenade launchers.

In the new Pathfinder box, the markerlights are provided as separate items, supposed to be assembled on the top of the barrel.

lol, yeah I didn't put the markerlights on as I wanted the pathfinders to be sleek and minimal compared to the firewarriors and haveing the gun be the size of them doesn't work with that

in the mean time here is my character from the Black Crusade RPG, this is his 2nd incarnation and there shall probably be a 3rd incarnation soon I really wanted a mix of armour/parts to represent the scavenged nature of his armour/weapons/gear

You're work is simply amazing. I honestly can not believe that you just picked up and airbrush and started producing models like this. I am looking to purchase an airbrush and compressor set up here in a couple weeks and I would love to see some videos from you on the basics. Keep up the good work man. By the way I have to ask, what are you using for the rocks on your bases?

- I use an aerograph airbrush (a cheap crappy $40 brush I picked up from the FLGS)

Hey Grugknuckle, the cape has the detail moulded to it I just highighted it

The base of the Lorde Khorne reminds me of Lord of the Rings for some reason, like Rohan with the Warg's in Two Towers. Heh. Lovely painting man, just superb!

Big up date time finished riptide 2, sky ray 1, jetbikes and pathfinder squad 2 (didn't bother with pics of those they don't deserve it ) so not much left till the whole armies done








Should be noted I haven't done any transfers for the army yet as that's all getting done in one hit, so the skyray and riptides look a little bare without them for now. More soon hopefully!

Well I've been super busy finishing the tau army off before the big tournament that was held in WA. The Westgamer Ultimates is a top 16 invitational tournament, and what I was preparing the tau army for. It is by far the toughest tournie of the year in every category so I was very happy to win painting and got 2nd overall and 2nd generalship (not bad for never having used the army )

I will be taking close up picks of the units over the weekend, then onto some commission work for the first time in a very long while

Fantastic painting. Love the color scheme. Your large vehicles in particular demonstrate the difference between a random guy with an airbrush and someone who actually has an artistic eye for lighting and color. Beautiful shading.

Edit : because I'm lazy - what colors did you use for the blue guys? That scheme would do really well for Ultramarines.

Dang, if you're at beginning level now with that thing!? I want the Khorne Champion at the beginning of the post! Perfect! The rest is amazing.
