Either way my space marine army just got larger. Also might take fewer combi weapons depending on how the sternguard ammo works now

Any word on if sternguard ammo is staying the same or not?

I'll be among those who say, "Just wait until we see better pics."

However, those Centurions are a fething riot. They look comical in fact...a turd is a turd, and I smell something untoward in these pics...

Budget cuts at the design studio? Proof positive doubters!

"We make the best toy soldiers in the world!" Hahahahahhahahaha. Tom Kirby is a fething genius. They will sell tons of these things...it almost hurts.

Let's predict the hyperbolic language of the White Dwarf team for Centurions now shall we?

intimidating
massive
imposing
robust
terrifying
stalwart
unyielding
unrelenting

I win $100 if they use 5 of 8 of these for describing the Centurions.

I so hope that is true! It gives me real hope for my Death Company <3

They are 20 points now.
So you probably mean the sgt is down 2 points and normal vets are down 1 point?
And are jump packs 3 point each or DOWN 3 point each?

That would make an equally geared squad 31 points cheaper than DC.
But you lose 1WS and 1A in exchange for Heroic Intervention.
You'd also lose Fearless and FNP, but you won't need those since you're in assault the turn they deep strike.

I already have 15 sternguard, so i might pick up a box to make it an even 20. But i dont need more vanguard.
The centaurians and the new tank are the first on my list(After the codex ofcourse)

So Sternguard and Vanguard (with Jump Packs) cost the same now? Are they like DA where you have to upgrade the sarge to be a Vet Sarge?

I also wonder if the new plastic captain is meant to be an update of this guy:

Yeah, I found the 4chan-thread.
Three points per jump-pack is great! That makes my calculation incorrect and means they are even more cheaper :(
I hate it when Space Marine armies are actually better at making a JP-list than my BA's.

Too bad they aren't providing more information, because there is only one thing I want to know; whether there is a rule that allows these to replace the vets from other armies like the Blood Angels.

Do you have any info on sternguard combi weapon prices? (I know they are 3 points lower stock)

It seems that both basic vet sets cost the same/similar with each unit having their own purchasable weapon options. However from the points cost for the basic 5 man unit it appears that vet sarge is included in the basic unit cost.

Finally I can put my 3 dreadknights on the table, knowing that they are no longer the silliest looking models ever made, but now come second to the centurions.

I know there will be people that love them, and thats fine be me. But imho, they look pretty bad. My least favourite part is the feet look so goofy, like dreadnought legs, with a termie body, with a mraine inside?

Well, a dreadnought has a marine inside too, in a fetal position. How's he supposed to be controlling the dreadnought, hmm? Doesn't it make more sense if the marine is "sitting up" and perhaps physically manipulating the controls?

It never ends well

Wait how are vanguard down 6 points with 3 points for jump packs leaving them to 19 points? Currently Vanguard vets are 20 points so down 6 is 14 point marines, 3 points for jump packs would make them 17 each.

Or is it that you mean that WITH a jump pack (costing 3) a vanguard marine (30 points with packs now) is now down 6 points (24 total). Or again are veterans 19 points stock with 3 point jump packs making them 22 points (8 points down).

Sorry usually I'm decent with math but this is a confusing setup.

Ah I see now, when you said 6 points you meant off the original 125, so that would be 119 for the base squad, even if it's still 125 with 19 points for each subsequent one, and 3 points jump packs the vanguard squads will be much more functional.

Something like between 244-250 for a full squad of 10 with jump packs. Still 60 points over a standard assault squad but very very potent threat.

So 6 points per model over a normal assault squad in exchange for +1A, +1 Ld, and access to power weapons of all sorts. Any numbers on what the weapon options will be? I looked for the 4chan thread but could not find it.

A storm shield for 10 points? That sounds ridiculously cheap.

Guess SM sargeants were losing too many challenges.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

Is no one excited about new tactical marines? Even if you have a bunch don't you want a box or two for grav guns and new legs and torsos?

How about the rules for the flyers, I recently found out they reprinted Death from the Sky, does anyone know if they will include those rules for Space Marine flyers in the codex?

I have a feeling that they are the same as DftS, why change again it if they already were updated for 6th edition?

I might be if GW had decided to preview them. Their current veil of secrecy makes it awfully hard to get excited about upcoming releases.
