I'm going to try out a MoK Lord w/ Termi Armor + Power Fist + LC. I'd love to see how that works. Unless of course, I should just take aobf on them too

The Emperor may be able to see everything but do you think he can see why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

I run Kharn w/ 32 CC cultists. Don't care if he kills a few on 1's. Cult champ is there to soak up 1st challenge Kharn might lose. 2+ DtW is not too bad either. I can't assault until T3 or T4(w/bad run rolls) so I run 5 MoN spawn to distract the opponent.

The best 2 builds I have found that work every time are :
The khorne juggerlord with AoBF, sigil, and couple of other goodies.
Nurgle Lord biker with blight grenades power fist and sigil.

Every time I use these builds they make at very least there points cost back, and often double or triple it...

Anyone particular reason for the Blight Grenades?

Yeah I don't see it either. On Bikes his squad should be making the charge, not being charged.

The +1 Cover save when within 8" of the firer? In case he fails a charge or something? Fluff?

You can take cover in overwatch? I thought it was considered CC so no cover saves. That's cool then for the jink.

I gives Stealth vs shots within 8" or something. I meant if he failed a charge he might get +1 to his jink in the next round. Nothing to do with Overwatch. Sorry about that!

Mainly for fluff/dramatic reasons, why would a Lord of Nurgle not take his bacteria bombs out for a ride with him
He has been charged by a ravenwing bike squad before, but he is T6 and got IWND as his gift of mutation so obviously he didn't even break a sweat destroying them.
He can also be a very tough and fast delivery system for the BBoS. In games over 2000 points I give him this as I only own 1 heldrake and the ap3 flamers are too good to miss out on.

I have a Chaos Lord on a Steed of Slaanesh that I tend to run with allied Bikers in my Daemons army. They have fun outflanking, shooting up armour and attacking the back lines.

I also have a couple of Sorcerors that I haven't used much recently, but I really want to try again, using Sensory Overload in some new ways.

I tried one game with a Warpsmith recently, following a Helbrute and Forgefiend up one flank. If not for me forgetting his Inv save in a last turn challenge, he performed perfectly!

Otherwise I stick with the legendary Daemon Prince model that I was gifted long long ago. Too cool a model not to use it!

Chaos Lord all the way. Very specifically, a Chaos Lord with the Mark of Khorne, plasma pistol, Axe of Blind Fury, heading up a unit of Berzerkers. This guy is too damn effective to leave out (though admittedly I don't have Kharn).

I'll take a Daemon Prince too in larger games where a 2nd HQ is justified.

Don't bother with Kharn. In the last two games I've had with chaos, he has severely hindered me twice through managing to kill 4 or 5 berzerkers - it just meant that when I finally won the fights, what was left couldn't survive long enough to be useful again. I finished a fight with 2 Berzerkers left - I should've had 7. Including Kharn being able to re-roll 1's for the first turn of cc so you shouldn't lose people on the first turn.

He's still cool though.

Kharn rolls 2+ to hit and then rerolls because of hatred. 1/36 chance of hitting a friendly. How are you killing 4-5 zerkers

1 on the first turn of cc - I rolled a 1, then another 1.
2 a turn after that for another couple of turns.

I also have atrocious luck with my Juggerlord - in his last game he lost a wound to random bolter fire, shot himself in the face with his own plasma pistol, smacked himself round the head with his own deamon weapon, then disappeared under a pile of BA tactical marines without causing a wound. This was in 1 full game turn.

Don't feel bad PredaKhaine, I'm the guy who will have to make a save against 2 bolt gun wounds on a terminator sqaud and will proceed to roll two 1s. M luck is so exclusively bad that I am relegated to running armies with cheap units so I can attempt to weather my own bad luck. (Tried new dice, the curse seems to be with me!)

I don't feel bad - My juggerlord is just on thin ice...

I wouldn't mind him failing in the odd game but my luck has so far been to roll a 1 on his demon weapon every other turn. His plasma pistol has overheated 2 out of three times.

I might just start making him headbutt people and not use his weapons - it'd be safer...

Safer and more badass. A khorne lord headbutting things to death. I think Khorne himself would approve.

If I have the points, typhus is a solid all-rounder and I'm a big zombies and psykers fan, hence he's ideal for me. If not, I do like sorcerers for psychics, and Dark Apostles for fluff. Competitively, lords are always a help though

And I'm adding Abaddon to the thin ice pile. Took a charge, rolled a 1 on his daemon weapon. Eventually won the challenge... Rolled on the boon table and got dark apotheosis. Obviously, this is the first game in weeks that I'd forgotten a demon prince model.
technically, that was slay the warlord on turn five.

I unfortunately have not got on enough games to say. I just wanted to make a super ridiculous Nurgle Lord. So I gave him the Sigil as well.

So, I've been playing with a lvl 3 sorcerer with nothing but a force axe and a sigil, and the more I play, the more I like him. It's not that he's somehow uber-powered, but he's a solid support unit, and, moreover, he's fun.

One game I got invisibility and hallucination which wound up being really disruptive as the one, big, scary thing got "errrrm?"-ed a few times in a row, and the last game I got puppet master, which is hilarious to the max. In this case, I "borrowed" a unit of interceptors to fire into the side of an inquisitorial chimera, giving me first blood.

You don't know what's going to happen, but if you're willing to go along for the ride, something strange and interesting always does.

Unmarked Sorc ML3 familiar sigil bunkered in a 20x CSM blob as a warlord of late. He stays alive which is more than I can say for mr challengepants Chaos Lord. Usually go 2x Telepathy 1x Biomancy for his powers.

Have an Abaddon model but haven't used him yet.

I have just started Iron Warriors
and I am thinking of the following:

Sorceror - Level 3, Sigil, Spell Familiar, GOM, Unmarked (or maybe Nurgle)

Chaos Lord - MOK, Axe of Blind Fury, combi melta, termie armour, GOM

The sorceror will join a CSM squad, either on foot or in a rhino.

The Lord will likely join a termie squad, either deep striking or in a land raider if I have the points (I am only working to a 1500pt list).

These are the HQ's I am looking at right now. I don't really want an apostle as he is not fluffy for the Iron Warriors (same with the named HQ's).

I might have to look at a Warpsmith at some point though, as he is super fluffy for Iron Warriors.
