I understand now. I was confused at first because
Spoiler:
I had forgotten he was Snow before Thommen made him Bolton, so I thought people were talking about Jon Snow

I think the etiquette for the thread should be.

No spoilers for the most recent aired TV show.

Spoilers for things that are from the books but aren't on the show yet. - And I'm saying that as someone who has read the books.

I know in the UK at least, I only need to avoid the thread for about 22 hours before the episode is on air here. Unlike, say, the Agents of SHIELD thread, where I've just spoilered myself on the finale for it by reading one line on a post... The UK is about 3 weeks behind the USA there.

Talking about actors. I know people love how our favorite dead king was played, and how that guy did a great job at making us hate him.

But I also think that this guys is doing an excellent job:

The acting in GOT is excellent - I can't fault any of the actors - they are all doing a great job.

Bolton/ Snow is briliiantly done - really evil, the fact he can also fight is great...............

from the last episode:

Spoiler:

Loved Dan'ys - "you would be wise" line - lets hope they avoid that transformaiton into simpering....
Tyrion was great - really well done
Really enjoying Oberon and Varis is alwasy good value
The Iron bank was good as well - nice to see Hilary Briss has a new job after all someone has to remain in control............

No. He killed 2, and helped the kids go free for his 3rd, I believe. She named him as her third kill and only released him of it if he agreed to help them escape (in the show).

I'm trying to remember how it went down in the show, but in the books the third name was going to be himself unless he helps them break out of Harrenhal. So I think the escape takes the place of the third (although she did kill a guard, so maybe that counts...).

His "bed warmer".

There was a second, blonde, bed warmer - Violet - in the previous season (3). (Myranda and Violet seduce Theon to get him, er...horny, so that Ramsay could take away "Theon's favourite toy").

Violet (the blonde girl) was originally supposed to be the girl hunted in the woods by Ramsay and Myranda and ripped to pieces by the dogs. However, the actor got pregnant and was unavailable for filming, so her character's scenes were replaced with a new character "Tansy". Myranda was apparently jealous of Violet Tansy and was vying for Ramsay's affections, so she talks Ramsay into killing her.

Its hinted at in the dialogue "She thinks shes prettier than me" or something to that effect.

So Myranda is one hell of a jealous bitch - she plotted against her "friend" Violet so she could Ramsay all to her herself.

I dare say Ramsay likes it that way - the more evil the girl, the hornier he gets.

Domeric Bolton

Domeric Bolton was the only trueborn son and heir of Lord Roose Bolton and Lady Bethany Bolton. According to Roose, Domeric was quiet but accomplished; he read history, played the harp and rode as if born on a saddle.

Domeric served four years as a page in Barrowton to his aunt, Barbrey Dustin, and then squired for three years in the Vale of Arryn for Lord Horton Redfort. In the Vale, Domeric enjoyed the company of Horton’s sons and began to consider them brothers. Lord Redfort thought the lad had the making of a tournament champion.

After returning from the Vale to the Dreadfort, Domeric heard he had a bastard half-brother, Ramsay Snow, and wished to seek him out, against his father's wishes, since he had always wanted a brother of his own. Soon after the visit, Domeric died in 297AC from a sickness of the bowels, according to Maester Uthor. However, Roose believes Ramsay poisoned Domeric, in order to become Roose's only son.

It was Harrenhall, not the Dreadfort. The Dreadfort is far to the north.

And Jaqen did not kill the entire garrison -only the sentries guarding the gate. Harrenhall is HUGE, with a large Lannister garrison.

Spoiler:

And he did not get Arya to promise that she would go to Braavos. She wanted to learn how to kill like he does, and he offered to take her to Braavos to be trained, but she declined as she felt she needed to find her family. So he gave her a coin of Braavos and told her a password (Valar Morghulis) that would force any Braavosi ship to take her to Braavos.

Braavos has a tradition that requires all Baavosi to provide passage to Braavos to anyone who speaks those words. The coin and the words Valar Morghulis signifies that the speaker is seeking out the Faceless Men - a very feared guild of Assassins.

Hes on a mission.

book spoiler:

Spoiler:

He'll turn up in "Old Town" at the Citadel - the headquarters of the Maester order - carrying out some sort of mission for his order, the Faceless Men.

Spoiler:
The Alchemist
The Alchemist has a hooked nose and thick, black, curly hair, with a slight scar on his right cheek.[1] This is an identical description to that of the identity assumed by the Faceless Man assassin known to Arya Stark as Jaqen H'ghar.[2]

A Feast for Crows

The Alchemist meets Pate outside the Quill and Tankard pub where Pate has spend the evening with some of his friends. Pate has stolen the personal key of the senile Archmaester Walgrave as part of an arrangement between the two that had been agreed upon three days prior. This key is supposed to be capable of opening any door in the Citadel.

In return for the key, The Alchemist has promised Pate a gold coin, with which Pate intends to purchase the virginity of his beloved Rosey. The indirect "transformation" of lead (the key) into gold (the coin) is the source of The Alchemist's name.

Pate asks the Alchemist to reveal his face to him, which he does. They complete their transaction, during which Pate admits to being a thief. Immediately after, Pate falls to the ground and dies.

When Sam Tarly meets Archmaester Marwyn 'the Mage' a youth is present who calls himself Pate and has the same features as the person who died previously.

After Marwyn has gone, Pate tells Sam that there’s an empty sleeping cell under his own in the west tower, with steps that lead right up to Archmaester Walgrave’s chambers. He adds that the ravens quork but there is a good view of the Honeywine. Sam agrees to sleep there. Pate tells him he will bring Sam some woolen coverlets since the stone walls turn cold at night. Sam thanks him, but thinks to himself that there is something about the pale, soft youth that he mislikes, but he does not want to seem discourteous so he tells him his name, in return the youth tells him his name, which is Pate, "like the pig boy" he adds.

Jaqen essentially does not exist.

Spoiler:

The Faceless Men disguise themselves using some kind of magical glamour and masks created from the flayed skin of people's faces. The magic brings the mask to life and bonds with the Faceless Man, until he replaces it with another mask to assume another identity. Part of the training for a Faceless Man involves forgetting their own identity, hence the name.

The Faceless Men obtain these masks from people who come to die at their temple, "The House of Black and White". People who wish to die come to the temple and drink a poison. Their faces are then peeled off and turned into masks for the Faceless Men to use.

"Jaqen H'hgar" was no more than an alias - a fake identity created and used to carry out a mission. The assassin formerly known as "Jaqen H'gar" has abandoned that identity and assumed a new identity (believed to be "The Alchemist). His true name and face remains unknown.

The original person to whom the face of "Jaqen" belonged likely visited the House of Black and White to die, and his face was peeled and turned into a mask.

Shouldn't you be doing that anyway? I watch my stuff on Hulu (internet web streamer) and everything is a day to a week behind. If I really don't want to know what is coming, visiting threads dedicated to the topic probably isn't going to help with that.

The network that Arrow and Supernatural are on. Along with Vampire Diaries, Heart of Dixie, The Tomorrow People, etc.
