Yeah, what caught me out with SHIELD though, was I didn't know that the finale had been aired in the USA...

Oh well, at least it was only a minor spoiler.

I don't know too much about 'The CW' as a channel, but the most recent Arrow episodes haven't been miles apart from GoT's in quite a few ways. Admittedly, less bloody viscera and boobs.

Arrow has been kinda nuts lately. But I guess I'm off-topic.

Arrow and Supernatural (to a point) are kinda the exceptions to the normal CW rules. I was actually kinda glad the Supernatural spinoff to a more normal CW show failed. Hopefully Flash is another Arrow/Supernatural and the teenage angst is almost non-existant.

I like Arrow.. But this season had way too many dull filler episodes in the middle.

I kinda wish they would have just left Dany out of the whole show, and had her suddenly appear with her army in the las season whenever it finally starts to matter. Maybe do an online web series with her back story for the people that care. it just feels out of place to me for some reason.

We found Arrow a bit rubbish so we stopped watching pretty quickly - the plot seemed terrible and the fighting laughable - I heard it improved.

Vamp Diaires/ Originals is sooo much better (and lots more killing and torture)...........true they can't do boobs but Trueblood started well and ended up with little else tbh

@ Shadow Captain - thanks for all the info about Ramsey's bedwarmers - makes sense... I got most of it but did not know that was why they changed actress. I hope she stays around - they make a great evil couple - rather see them than the wall of dullness and fat sam etc

Shes an original character, so - with no character arc from the books to follow - anything can happen with her.

yep, good call, he is cool, He also tends to be popular with the ladies (at least the ones I know) - although Stefen is better this season and of course sweet Caroline is my fav..............

Originals is good - Hoping they keep Geneveive around (better than Cammy who is a poor imitation of Caroline), Lots fo cool women in the show tbh - Haley is fun playing with Elijah.

back on topic I suppose - Myranda works well - as I said really impressed with the casting choices in GOT - even characters I really don't like are done well

For the most part I agree, the casting is good. There are however a couple of characters that they have well and truly fethed up.

The Mountain has been cast THREE times,Conan Stevens (Season 1 - the Jousting Tournament) was perfect. I get that he wasn't available for Season 2 as he was filming for The Hobbit (for a part which was then cut ), but, considering how minor The Mountain's role was in Season 2, and that he didn't appear at all in Season 3, they should have cut The Mountain's role in season 2 so that they could have brought Stevens back for Season 4.

Daario Naharis has been cast twice, and neither version has been very faithful to the books. Was it really so hard to just dye Daario #2's hair & beard blue? His character is supposed to be colourful and flamboyant. Daario #1 was flamboyant, but sadly lacked the blue hair, and he was replaced after just a couple of episodes in S3.

Not seen the spoiler bit with Gene and Hayley - must be a episode ahead of me - watching on Sky.......

I tink the second actor for Daario is better - I did like the bit with the challenge outside the walls where he winks at Dany as he is being charged..............I found him really annoying in the books but then I thought Dance with D was just fething awful

Have Daario #2 dye his hair and beard blue and I'll be content.

The craziest part is we gotta wait 2 weeks for the next episode. My heart sank to the deepest darkest recesses a heart can sink when that came up on the screen after "3 Episodes Left". I may never recover.

The finale is going to be considerably longer than usual, so that'll help at least.

Episode 10: The Children
HBO confirmed in a press release that this episode will be extended to a 66 minute runtime, making it the longest episode of the series to date (beating out the previous record holder by 2 minutes).[2]

I've heard differently.

Regarding that Sansa-Baelish kiss...In the books, it freaks Sansa out (creepy old man who had a thing for her mom snogs Sansa without warning) whereas in the show it looks more like Baelish seduced her.

However a different angle gives a very different impression. Beats me why they didn't use this angle - Sansa looks much more uncomfortable here.

I could see a small amount of Storm of Swords winding up in season 5. Let's face it. Not a lot happens to the main characters/plot lines in books 5 & 6. And since they need to be able to move between characters they are shifting things around. Which is good since it'll help the continuity.

I do like how they handled the Hound. Not a fan of how much they shifted the events at the wall. I'm sure it's mostly due to what happens later and to streamline the cast but it does make it far, far more annoying to watch.

All in all a lot of stuff to happen in the next few episodes. I'm looking forward to them after the 2 week break!
