For once, I actually quite liked the teaser. That might be because I'm a filthy xenos player though... Very much looking forward to this. Quite liking the Haemonculus. Sort of like Urien Rakarth's model but with less freaky spinal bits.

I thought the laugh was a little goofy.

As a space marine player, all I want is a Raven Guard supplement.

As for Dark Eldar (which I don't play), some new alternative Archon models would be great, especially female (Lady Malys?). I never particularly liked the current Archon.

Really? What's not to like? (beside a lack of weapons options obviously-though to be fair you can fix that with spare bitz)

I'm actually worried about the New Dark Eldar Cull... I mean codex.
I use the Baron in every game to make hellions troops.

Anyways I thought hellions were more like outcasts... little dark eldar punks??

What is needed is for Venoms to get 3 HP or AV11 or some rule that enables them to survive.

Well I like the new Codex fine.
So it got leaner, it is now much more focused, something the Daemon Hunters was not.

Now I hope that this does not happen to Dark Eldar. I hope is gets a lot of balance worth using units. I also hope that they continue with the Detected Transports = Fast Attack treatment, I will have to pick a Raider from my Banshees.

Not really exclusive to Wych units- an Archon is usually quite well off so if he/she wants a skyboard he'll get one. Plus Baron Sathonyx was an Archon in the beginning, but his Kabal got destroyed so he joined up with some Hellions. He's now like some sort of underground gang leader, and no Hellions go on raids without his blessing.

in 3rd they could take bikes...they are the richest DE who do as they like. There is no standard codex out there that defines what an archon can ride.

also there is the succubus. Why cant they take boards or bikes?

This argument again. Actually Archons own the workshops that makes everyones toys so I am pretty sure they can take whatever the feth they like.

Don't know if this has been said, but I wouldn't be surprised if no new units were added and instead we got plastic Wracks, maybe plastic Grotesques, and some new HQ models.

There could be new models for characters, and new models with new options for units

I like the new wracks, but they are mostly recasts of the old wracks with some new weapon options, like the claw thing in the wracks left hand who has a hexrifle in the right hand.

Haem looks like he has a stinger pistol. Hope he comes with weapon options other than that, but given the wrack kit will probably contain a lot of special weapons wont be hard to kit bash.

Lets at least hope they return the stinger pistol to its 3rd ed glory, remember when it was 12" range pistol, poison 2+ and if it wounded the victim exploded with strength equaling said victims toughness and AP equaling its save? Yea then Kelly decided a poison 2+ pistol with no abilities was better

Especially since you can just give a mook the archon helm and everything works out fine. If there's a plastic archon you might can be just use the torso from the kit.

I'm pretty sure it's more about whether the new Codex includes such a rules option rather than if we get a specific model for that.

The list of things Kelly thought was a good idea, but that ended up actually being terrible is long and hopefully need not concern us in 2 weeks.

I assume the claw thingy is a scissorhand, but who knows it could be a mindphase guantlet, a flesh guantlet, an agonizer of old(when they were gloves) or something completely different.




It is possible the new wracks have more standard weapon options rather than just posion blades.
