Is the bike base acceptable for the base guidelines?

Well I had better ask about basing too, does it have to be a GW base type, or my interpretation is basing is free form but stay with in size constraints?

Um best show you I guess, this is still WIP, and I got to work on the camera a bit because the colours a bit screwy, it is actually grey honest....

Ah crud!!!! I just realized how far behind I am. Lol. Ah well a quick rumage in my magic bits box gave me an idea. So he's built and primed. Now I just need to know if he qualifies.

Yeah I was going to watch the movie, but that was a bit hard basket. Greyscale with a colour splash seemed straightforward enough.

Then I was thinking about what I would sacrifice to do this, finally deciding on what I had in my bits box.

Honestly, if you want motivation to do this, start doing something else that needs to get done - like cleaning/homework/taxes.

If nothing else, I need to clean my desk. It's a fething mess at the moment. Don't have space to do gak.

So, i'm working a 40k version of Kaleb Daark, that crazy Malal / Malice follower.
I just got a Dark Vengence box set so I figure I would use things from that and some other bits for a conversion.

Kaleb Daark rode a mutated horse, so to bring him to the 41st Millennium I'm giving him a possessed bike.

Added ribbons of cloth, extended from her face. I've also added in cabling, chains and tassles:


Bit fuzzy, sorry. Also, note elevated podium. It will now fit neatly on a standard termie base if necessary

Graven, that makes me smile every time I see it.

I have started painting and the grey is up to paint 4 of 6. The different areas of grey should be visible now.


Still unsure of where I will add the spot colour. I have a few options, but will decide once the grey is done.

Yep, that is one option. Although, I hadn't thought of ginger, that's a pretty good idea.

This is surprisingly bloody hard!

I managed to start doing some spot detail, which is now masked - but the whole thing seemed so simple before I started.

*excelllllent......excelllennnnt* Yes I'm rubbing my hands together like Mr Burn from the Simpsons :-) I am actually happy that this has thrown a curve ball at a few of you. the idea seems simple but when you start doing it it's not easy to make the model pop and look good! you guy are doing a damn fine job so far.

That's very cool. Hair could possibly use a slightly stronger highlight to make it really pop... The contrast between skin and leather is awesome, though. Nicely done.
