Makes me wonder why the Shield of Baal wasnt sighted, with the "A new campaign unfolds) teaser, although rumors point the book to being Guard and Sisters v. Nids for the Levithan book (or maybe the box? seemed to be what they were hinting but plastic sisters is sketchy IMO)

It was the same with Codex: Space Wolves. Sanctus Reach part 1 was only IG/IK vs Orks, part 2 (the box) and part 3 (Hour of the Wolf book) were featuring SW. This pattern is quite similiar

I read that rumor, and honestly I can't see them featuring Sisters in the campaign without releasing something for them, and I don't see new models without an in print codex. Also,since Baal is the Blood Angels home world, why would AM and Sisters be defending it ? That rumor seems particularly salty to me.

I would assume that Baal has a standing force of PDF that would come in under the AM defending it.

Naftka covered this the other day; apparently the End Times book being released is just a novella, so it shouldn't prevent the Blood Angels codex being dropped before they get back to End Times-proper.

the outer fringed of the Baal system, not Baal its self, maybe thats how they found out the hive-fleet was coming

With all the talk and rumors of the new Tyranid stuff, Blood Angels, and the campaign involving the two I am going to clear up some misinformation/misunderstanding. The box coming out containing Tyranids and Blood Angels is NOT a starter set. It is a campaign box like Stormclaw was. Yes there are similarities between a starter set and a campaign box. Both contain models and the small rule book. The main differences being:
-Campaign box is limited production
-Campaign box does not have the snap fit models
Dark Vengeance is your starter set for the foreseeable future. As for the contents of the campaign box, we don't know yet. As soon as we are able to tell you we will. I would not put much stock in the rumors of a plastic Broodlord or Plastic Lictor in there unless perhaps they make one into a character.

You just need some imagination. “Will the brave Blood Angel be able to reach the Sisters first and claim their precious blood for themselves, or will the Hive Mind get the potent liquid before they are able to react? ”. Bang, just say the objectives in one of the missions are actually immobile, inactive Sisters, no model release needed, jobs done!

Shield of Baal confirmed, but no name mention of Blood Angels on the cover sadly.

- Venomthropes look excessively good (IMO)
- On the cover of the Paint Guide is a Broodlord, I first thought it was the one from SH when glancing at it but realized
it was actually a model I didn't know.
- Rules for Zoans broods in the WD.
- Shield of Baal is AM + Tempestus + SoB vs Nids. Rules inside are for Nids. It's a Nagash type of dual books.
- It is the first part of a campaign, those are the worlds actually protecting the BA ones.

If this follows the stormclaw pattern, we'll get this book, then the box when BA come to the rescue (along with an end times novella) and then the new BA dex. My guess is we've got another 3 weeks at this point. Maybe 4.

If it is such a box, GW would want to release at least 3weeks before Christmas, to allow for shipping and mail.

Sisters probably won't get any new models or rules, just an honorable mention. So your wallet is probably safe on that front.

Maybe a formation in the campaign books. But it's not super likely.

Not gonna lie, at this point i think i speak for all BA players by saying that im getting super impatient. GW needs to hurry up. For realz.

Lol, the thing is, they have been hurrying up lately. Weekly releases, boxes, and even fixing (some) tyranidian problems, pushing the boundries of Fantasy, re-releasing SH. Of course the player response will be "what about ME?".

Ah man, BA don't even feature on the front of the campaign book. GW you really are torturing me at this point. Give me some BA love.

Are Blood Angels actually rumored to get any detachments or rules from Shield of Baal:Leviathan? Leaked pics say Cities of Death, Death From the Skies, Planetstrike and Tyranid detachments, but nothing about Blood Angels other than them being there. Stormclaw: Red Waagh and Hour of the Wolf included formations for both factions

There weren't any Space Wolves formations in The Red Waaagh! were there? (Could be wrong I just don't remember any)

As that book is analogous to this one in terms of their recent campaign format I think we won't see any until the Stormclaw style boxed set.
