Oh, I can totally understand the difference! One is about painting and then playing with little toy soldiers, and the other is about some sexual fetish for some people, and some not sexual fetish for other.
What I fail to see is how one is supposedly better than the other.

Also for fun, no offense Medium of Death but if Furry is a bizarre fetish to you I must warn you to be wary in the internet. Furry's on the ice-burgh and not even under the waters (there's actually a fetish for amputees)

There's nothing inherently wrong with enjoying children's cartoons or anthropomorphic animals. I enjoyed Fosters Home, the first project that the MLP creator worked on if i'm not mistaken, when it aired, but I didn't own the merchandise and I don't rewatch it. Similarly I watched Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers as a young child and yet I don't find myself wanting to feth the female anthro-mouse. Furries/Bronies take it to the extreme and it unsettles people.

Furries/Bronies take images that were designed for children and then sexualise them. If you can't see that as being repugnant then you are truly lost.

No clue why we are talking about differences why not! They are different and not. From a technical standpoint both fit into the same general concept of anthropomorphism of animals (although the degrees vary between the two) in the two of them. That being said, furries are more into semi-human animals whilst ponies are just kinda an odd species that's kinda a blend of pony with flairs of dog, animated cartoon physics, and human traits. Kinda more animalistic in looks but not in character or personality. As per fanbase, both are guilty of having a small and vocal group that are obnoxious, both manage their cons terribly, both get bashed on, and both have internal wars. Oh, and both have large sections of the internet we must not speak of and there's overlap of fans frequently due to anthromporpohologyajkkdlfjalaka.

So basically yes no maybe so

Not all bronies take images of ponies and seualize them. Just like not all 40k players take their models and sexualize them you are confusing the majority who just watch a show and maybe own a collectable fiqure for vocal minority.
Seriously, think outside the box.
And how are furries taking images made for kids and sexualising them?

Furries are a sexual fetish that some people enjoy
Bronies like a well made and decent(Although latter seasons may be going down in quality) TV show made with the intention of the creator that both adults and kids can enjoy it
Y'know, Im not even a brony even more, why am I defending them.

Nope, Craig made Foster's Home. She worked on both it and Power Puff Girls though.

That aside, I do have a criticism of what you say at the end. So what if somebody sexualizes something for kids? Comics made for teenagers also get grittified and "grown up" and there are other interests out there. You think that bronies and furries are alone in making things unpleasant? Pokemon's got a massive amount of porn of it, Touhou has a lot of porn, basically everything has porn of it somewhere out in the internet. 40k and Fallout? I shudder to admit but yeah there's been porn (I blame 4chan for finding it). People like to do dirty things and they do it. Besides, how is something like that harming you or anybody else for that matter? B-but muh childre- don't do that. It's the internet, we are mean and petty and considering all the other fetishes out there and other things is that something that really matters? That and a large number don't touch porn and the ones that do tend to keep it to themself. Now I'm going to go condemn 40k because somebody made their models in 40k suggestive and I am upset about this madness and heresy for they must represent everyone in the world.

Also from what I've gathered people dislike the two groups more because of how a small group are obnoxious about what they like.

@hotsauce I think he's mentioning how people sexualize renamon, krystal, and whoever else they like to do probably some disney animal.

This whole topic now has me so confused. I was good when I thought it was like anime conventions but with people who like to dress up in animal costumes. Now I'm just scared. Someone hold me!

Not of that matters to the attack that occurred of course.

That's true though. Sorry for getting off tangent though. Just kinda have a qualm with people flipping out about stuff like this. Somebody does it, it happens, whatever move on.

Some of the jokes here were amazing, some kinda fell flat. What happened was wrong but I find it somewhat silly how a few posters freaked out about people joking around about something bad that happened. It kinda felt like nobody actually condoned the action but were more going along with the joking attitude that's always fun. Plus it makes it easy to fill out this dakka bingo.

Star Wars fans dress up as wookies and feth whilst doing so. As you have an image from Star Wars as your profile you must obviously be some sort of sexual pervert.

Generalisations based on a small minority are fun!

How old am I? Old enough to have been your grandmother's sweetheart you young hooligan.
And I don't dress up as a wiener dog. I just wear them. They like to be carried and fed treats. Cuts out the effort of walking. *

*True tale. When TBone was failing, the Wife and I sometimes just carried TBone while we walked the other dogs. We'd just switch off when one of us got tired carrying him. He loved that even though he was nearly deaf and blind at that point.

Didn't you know that the furries kidnap children and bring them to their cons where they force them to watch animated videos about anthros before forcing them to look at furry porn and then brainwash them into a cataconic state? Then on their 14th birthday it unlocks and the moment they see anything furry related they become a raving Furry that dresses up as an animal and spends all their free time jacking off to furry porn of childhood things. It is obviously worse than Hitler. See this man was saving us from the conversion of innocent children! Oh and bronies are the same)

Which is cool, unless the convention is some place hot. Wearing fur in the summer is a crime against humanity.
