Transformers:Check
Gi Joe: Check: (though Tatum ruined the first one)
He-Man: In the works
M.A.S.K.: ?
Thundercats: ?

Anybody? Also, watching that trailer again made me realize how amazingly awesome that style of animation looked, with the inked shading and such. It was like watching a moving comic book. I don't even know what to call it. Anybody have any input on that front?

Interest is really high in robots right now, and Star Wars is about to catapult space opera back into the big screen. Plus, there's a lot of Buzz about Mars.
So what we need is an Exo squad remake- but not a movie, a Battlestar Galactica style live action epic.
On the He-Man front- Battlecat looks tonally mismatched to He-Man. It was an indescribably silly and lighthearted show. This looks like a movie that would need the recent Batman for comic relief.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.
Watching back through some old cartoon intros, those early 90s cartoons with their super inked art style and generic rock guitar intro themes... makes me wish I was born ~5 years earlier so I could have actually watched them. Ah well, I had Toonami, that was something.

If you loved the Thundercats show (the original one) as a kid, hold tight to those memories. Bask in their warm, rose-tinted glow. Cherish those memories, take them with you to your grave.
Do not, under any circumstances, even on pain of death, acquire the Thundercats original series on DVD, digital download, VHS, laserdisc, CD, cassette, 12" vinyl or any other format, and go back, as an adult, to watch them.
Do not do this thing. Trust me. This is not something that anyone should ever be subjected to. It should, in fact, be outlawed by the Human Rights Commission as a crime against humanity.
It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
Thundercats,
He man
Gi Joe
Transformers
M.A.S.K.
Ghostbusters
TMNT
Voltron
Batman (90's cartoon, the darker version)
Even Centurions.
And since this thread started, I ordered Brave Star.
I watch them all the time, they aren't ruined. What gets ruined is as people get older they get that, old... Cynical...
Since I am self employed, I work out of my basement, I watch the 80's cartoons in a loop with, adultswims; Squidbillies, ATHF, Metalacolypse, boondoocks.
I enjoy them all still.

I go back and rewatch xmen and batman. They've withstood the times. Well, if xmen got rid of Storm and Jubilee anyway. And didn't give Cyclops that stupid shuffle run in the first episode. But all else is great.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

As someone who watched the crap out of that and Biker Mice from Mars (Would love a gritty reboot of that show as well), I'm still trying to figure out how that concept worked.
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

OH GOD YES ON EXO SQUAD!
that was a great show for its time, and the toys were top notch too, all movable/posable with working exoskeletons.
TBH thunder cats is one of those things that I can only like as a kid, same with he man.
the reboot could be better, or it could be worse then that new robocop movie

One movie I'd love to see would be a bunch of 40somethings meeting up again after a lot of years, some successful, some not so much, and walking through the woods of their home town, talking, flirting, poking fun... and then they find the abandoned amusement park, and a certain ride, which they sit in, perhaps to share a drink... and it suddenly springs to life, dragging them back, back to a place that should not be, back to an ancient friend and guide, back to their magical weapons and back to fight... HIM...
If they could change Batman from the fruity atrocity of the 60's TV show to a dark, forbidding Dark Knight, they might be able to do something with the Danny La Rue of 80's cartoon camp, He-Man. but TBH, they may actually completely destroy the whole point of it.
But, I would pay good money to see a movie of Ulysses 31...
and I would consider renting the Download a year after release for Terrahawks should they ever release it...
However, I would dip my old chap in honey and antagonise a wasp for the chance to see a movie of The Tripods...
