It may just be people sitting on their pledges before making a decision. I doubt they everyone time to read the whole thing and look at pictures before hopping onto the early birds

As I mentioned in the months leading up to all this, I have no real interest in any of the armies shown and the characters I see now are not the style I'm looking for, so no pledge from me.

A few of the things look interesting enough to stay in for now. Nice that there's at least a few renders scattered in with the concept work. Just need to see the rest of them.

We're also, $75k beyond the last ($90k) stretch goal that was included on the page. Do we reckon that they're going to fiddle with the SG interval again whilst the rush is going on, or will they actually stick to $10k intervals?

Awesome!

We have learned quite a lot from our first Kickstarter, The Toughest Girls for the Galaxy. It was successful beyond our wildest expectations. This forced us to grow and adapt at a very fast pace. We made some errors along the way, but we're only stronger for it. With that experience under our belt, we have redesigned every single process of our workflow: the creative work, the manufacturing, the logistics, etc. So we can confidently say that we are much better prepared this time, whatever size this TGG2 KS ends up at.

Overall, the only problem we had on our previous Kickstarter was the delay in production. This was due to our underestimating the success of the TGG KS, and to our overeagerness to achieve excellence, which led to redo a lot of our sculpting.

However, the vast majority of our backers feel extremely pleased with the way we handled this, and praised us on keeping our focus on quality rather than speed.

Nevertheless, we have now put in place new workflows and processes to streamline the creative as,well as the production work.

That being said, when you back a Kickstarter, you embark on a great adventure. You get a unique chance to ride side-by-side with the project's creators, and see from the inside how a project is brought to life. This can be very thrilling as new stuff comes along, and better than expected results are achieved. But as in every adventure, the sea does get rough sometimes. By being a backer, not only do you get to get a feel for the highs and lows the project creators must live through. You get a very real opportunity to celebrate the wins, but also, to support the morale of the project team and make a difference when things are challenging.

Kickstarters are projects in development. They are not pre-order shops where the unknown doesn’t have its place.
You might not want to take part in an expedition that may include risks and delays and a little bit of rough seas, and this is all well with us.
We cannot guaranty anything except that we'll do our best just like we did in our previous KS.

But if you don't mind a little drizzle and you want to live the adventure together with us and be part of the creation of something great, if you want a bit of the unknown and watch new sculpts and characters as they come to life, if you love to experience unexpected good turns, great art and the companionship of an amazing band of backers, then do come aboard, we are setting sails!

So the minis I'm interested in are the "Knights of the Chalice".

Is it really 'only' $22 for 5 troopers there, and 'only' $24 for 5 command troopers?

I learned my lesson last time; not making any concrete plans on the pledge until I get the pledge manager, lol.

Although unless the renders look substantially better than the concept art, I'll probably pass on most of the DE and look at a SOB army.

Hmm. Just made a spreadsheet of all the SOB models to figure out what I want to do.

Of the characters, only two really appeal to me (Revallia and Ascended Erzebel) and I'm really wondering how much I want to get SOB troops when my entire army already exists. Hmm.

I hope they give us additional SGs, but one at every 10k might get to be too much.

Well I did wonder if some of the models would suit a slaanesh daemons army and they've certainly got elements of that covered, was going to get the harpies from avatars of war for my furies but the harpies here would fit in with what I already have so much better. Wonder if they'll still be in the codex by the time I get the models this time...

it's holds the detail better (pretty much identical to the metal) and is easier to clean up,

(I also suspect it will have the same vulnerability to dropping as FW resin, but have not tried it)

I got a fair amount of metal last time round, but this time I suspect I will go mainly for the spin-cast resin

Having assembled like 60 of their troops now and over a dozen of their heroes, i wish i had just ordered everything in their resin. The metal and resin are both top notch detail, the resin stuff is just easier to work with. But don't try to bend a gun back to straight without some hot water, that will just snap the hell out of it.

I'm in for some sisters, with some dark/lust elves on the side. I really wish that had come up with a different name than lust elves though. I have a few dozen pictures of the troops in various states of assembly i'll try to post later for folks that are interested in the detail and look of their figures.

So from the previous KS, is there any reason to get the troopers as opposed to the command? I.e. Does the command have all the bits from the troopers PLUS the command bits or are they different?

Like, if I wanted to make a 5 girl BSS squad, I need 2 heavies/specials and a sergeant. Seems like Command is the way to go.

The Game

We've now been working for quite some time on our miniatures game project. We were hoping to be able to include a first version in this Kickstarter, but we ran out of time, and we don't want to show you something that is half-baked. But here are key points that we can already share with you:

The feel of the game will be very cinematic.

The scenarios will revolve mainly around main characters whom you will choose as Heroes for your army. These Heroes may be high or low-ranking. But your main characters won't be able to attain their goals without the active participation of their Troops and Support.

The game will be highly scalable. You will be able to handle confrontations between just 2 minis, as well as between massive armies.

The action will be fast-paced and full of panache, and your Toughest Girls will have to show what they're really made of to shine on the battlefield.

The game will have components not usually associated with tabletop wargaming, such as bluff, negotiations, and more...

Our goal is to make you feel as if you were smack in the middle of your favourite blockbuster or TV series.

By the way, if you are wondering how to pick your minis to be ready for the TGG tabletop game, don't worry about this too much: we all hate those games where you can never play your favourite cool-looking mini because of her lousy stats! Our list-building system will allow you tons of versatility so that you can play exactly the minis that you like.

The prices on those Dark Elves are incompatible with how many I'd need to make a decent sized army for Kings of War.

Which is a shame, but also good as I don't really want several hundred more figures sitting on the shelves.

For the last one, they all have different poses. Some of the arms and guns may be shared, but each will have some unique items as well. well sounds like i better go get my camera then
