They put out an update on what's going on with the artbook of the first KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/loudnraging/raging-heroes-the-toughest-girls-of-the-galaxy/posts/1950029

TL: DR.. it's another three to five years before it's done.

I believe them,

It may be annoying when there are long delays but they know they'd be able to bring in more money if they'd just settle and get things done

but its all about the vision even if it ends up meaning no toys for use and no money for them in the short-medium turn

Didn't Malifaux have cardboard terrain with Terra-Clips years ago?

They did.

Edited: Removed all snark about RH, although I am impressed that their extra special workflow enabled pizza slice casting method of perfection is now dead and gone, more workflow needed.

Are they also dropping hints about another mini KS?

They show the new sketches--are those minis they're going to release, or are those intended for a KS? They mention TGG3 when talking about the artbook--is that just what they're calling the Warstages KS, or are they already gearing up for another mini KS without completing EITHER of the first two?

IIRC TTG3 is going to be their rulebook and hopefully fluff expansion, which will no doubt be just as much a drawn out roller coaster ride as their previous campaigns.

Like I said, that artbook is at least three to five years out at this point.

That is both hard and easy to believe...

Is it me, or is the cardboard building KS a low product/dollar ratio?

Yes, it's visually well deisgned, but I mean, it's flat cardboard, eh?

From what I recall from when GW did a lot of cardboard stuff, it's not cheap to print it up.

Not disputing that at all. But at that point, they're essentially doing a pre-order to pay the printer for a very limited run of cardboard buildings. Yes, they mention an MSRP, but I sincerely doubt those will ever be widely distributed worldwide. EU? Probably. Canader? Not so much.

I haven't seen the prices, but I'm guessing boutique prices? This may be a limited production run, or the winds may shift yet again and it may become something completely different halfway through the design process.

^ Ugh. This. ^

The cardboard terrain looks ludicrously expensive for what you get. The big draw for the first two KS, for me, was that the miniatures were really good value for the money. (Assuming you didn't mind a little extra work scrubbing the crap out of them.)

Not so sure on the value myself when their resin is involved.. I love their metals, I loathe the resin they use.

Did you guys get the TGG1 update? They mention that the terrain will probably never see retail, excepting the small amount of overstock they produce that will sell through at a higher than KS price on their webstore.

It's essentailly a single production run, probably not to be repeated. Much like ....that other card terrain KS I backed a few years ago that's all still sitting flat-packed in a tub in the shed.

(goes off to google...)

Battle systems.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1621774283/battle-systemstm-sci-fi-ii-terrain

I backed their first sci-fi one. Bought a ton of it. Never assembled a single bit of it to date. I plan to eventually, probably (no, I don't want to sell it), but it's enough of a reality check to know I should not personally back this one, completely aside from any other reasons or shenanigans.

How... how is it possible these people still keeping raking in the money they are, when their delivery is what it is?

I have never experienced miniatures with the... let's say 'finish' that their resin models present. They habitually change things after taking in money, feel no particular obligation to delivery things in something like a timely manner and treat legitimate complaints in much the same way the Catholic Church treated Martin Luther's complaints.

Yet for all that, they just pulled in over $200k on a week long campaign.

Same. I have the freebie models and 3 stingrays. Apparently there are also 3 worm riders in the post to me. Everything else from my KS is apparently awaiting the Avatar's summoning ritual...

Not been impressed with the delivery at all, and the quality of the models so far (not that I have a huge sample to work with...) doesn't seem to match up with the renders and is very variable.

My TGG1 minis didn't have the mold release problem that other people reported (most of mine were metal, which didn't have the same problems, at least not to such an intensity).

When I got my TGG2 minis (what few they've sent me) I was shocked. They might as well have packed them floating in oil. It's ridiculous how greasy they are.

I can't think of a situation where I'd ever give them more money.

Are you looking forward to this...?

A giant pile of slippery hard to use stiff brittle resin that will probably need fifteen pins to hold together?

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

I love the design of that Avatar, but man am I glad I switched her out for a whole bunch of troops and heroes at the last possible moment.

I've even built and based the majority of my order. Just need to prime 'em and get to work on them!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
