Apparently they just sent out a random assortment of what they had in stock, whilst trying to make sure everyone got at least something. So I got a good chunk of my death dancers and harpies, but not my avatar either.

Luck of the draw I guess. I still have more stuff to come later too.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Jelly. Not even to the 'taking them out of baggies and putting into simple green' step yet, as I was immediately overly concerned about the shear number of bits involved when I opened the box so immediately closed it and set it on the shelf

Take them one set at a time, I got them all past the simple green stage and then stared at the loose bits. Pretty sure I have them straight, but also spent twenty minutes chasing around a tiny piece of scrap that I thought was a foot.

Also, start with something other than the standard trooper sisters. Anything other than them. It's all better than those molds. Command is better, all the iciarates are better, davidians are amazing and easy, but those standard troopers.

Asking for a friend, has this one already been done, or is it still being worked on?

I have her (not yet painted.)

It's a lovely miniature.

There she is with her two bodyguards

Thanks, this means the model is at this point still a year or two out, but at least she's out in the open and not stuck in "touching up dat booty" phase any longer.

Man, I really need to open up my TGG boxes and see what's in there, what's missing, what's messed up and so on. Their badly laid out packing slips really put me off along with the oily trollcast (my TGG1 stuff is still pretty much all unopened). Maybe in September. If not, January. Bleugh.

Looks pretty sweet. Are there a bunch of tiny air bubbles on the tops of her wings there? That was a consistent issue with the were-she-wolves. Is it an issue here too? I wouldn't mind picking her up sometime in the (far) future to use, but maybe not if I have to email back and forth a bunch for a replacement set of wings.

There are few on the bottom of her robe and the joints aren't perfect.
The wings seem pretty perfect though.

I found the time to look further into my minis yesterday. Only one of the three lances for my sister's knight looks kinda straight. Is it usual? I remember that even back when I purchased my very very first models, Warhammer 5th edition starter set from 1996 had some Bretonians knights with perfectly straight lances.

Also is the whole very complicated stuff about putting the mini in water and everything really necessary? Seems overly complex to me.

Those models you purchased back then, as well as all GW minis now, are HIPS aka hard plastic. They don't suffer from warping or bending. The TGG models are resin which holds detail better but is much more fragile and prone to warping and bending. Use some hot water to make it pliable and bend them straight, carefull.

Thanks for the tip. Still sad to see such a regression, even if apparently (?) the other advantages make up for the drawbacks.

So new update, apparently nearly everything is done and the metals will be entering production shortly. They said that they did look at using a different caster but as that would have only saved them a few weeks they didn't bother, cause its not like they are two years late...

Seriously! *cough* https://www.facebook.com/sallozare *cough*

I for one have enjoyed seeing the TGG2 KS come together, spent way more than I intended to, and will get my last models just about when I expected them (late Summer 2017 was what I guessed when I first pledged). Stupidly excited to get started on the army these chicks will be forming. Less excited for the cleaning and pinning stages of that project, but so it goes.

I wish I'd gotten my heroines in resin. I just want it over with. I've come full circle. From RH fanboy to so jaded and bitter that not even cosplay cheesecake can make me appreciate the product anymore.

And yet, somehow, they're still on course to beat GW for Sisters of Battle models.

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

Looking at the TGG2 production spreadsheet (http://tgg2ks.com/production-status/), looks like these are the last of them:

Altar of the Succubi - moulds
Draahk Chariot - casting
Horse Chariot - casting
Spider Mother - casting
Yscarloth (x2) - casting

And whatever is happening with the metals. I think they came up in a recent epistle.

What's wrong with the names? "Cha-Cha Silencia" has a nice ring to it.

Who else is still waiting for stuff? Everything in my order is shown as in production and nothing was that complicated. I think the Pegasus is maybe the last part of it that they cast?

I emailed them a month ago to ask for an update and they said this:

"As i can see here your remaining miniatures are finished in production but some references are out of stock and this is why they have not been shipped yet. We are waiting for a big restock but it looks like it has been held in customs ande hence the delay. As soon as all of them are received from the foundry we will proceed to ship following the backer number order."

Since then nothing and they haven't responded to a follow up email a week ago.
