It might be the match made in heaven for her. A wildling wouldn't have any problem with the concept of a woman warrior and would recognize her for what she is, and you probably have to be a wildling to handle her.

I wonder if he just sees her as a warrior and wants to fight her and the shows just leading us on thinking it might be something else.

He ain't looking at her like he wants to fight her... unless it's foreplay to the actual reason he's looking at her like that.

Unless this is part of an an ever-so-cunning plan by Olenna Tyrell to turn things against the Lannisters. I don't see how though.

I think Cersi will keep the Lannister armies and kings guard in reserve, allow the Tyrell to attack the sparrows, when the smoke clears, grease the winners with the Lannister forces.

I thought that remaining Lannister armies were nowhere nearby - that was part of the problem in dealing with the High Sparrow and fanatics - hence needing the un-blooded Tyrell army?

I do think the High Sparrow would be quite happy to be a martyr if he thought it would advance his cause.....in fact it would probably be a joyful thing for him.

So much yes!

Saw the initial "looks" he was giving her.

Could be interesting, brienne's character is really starting to come out, that bit where she just tells stannis' right hand man (guy missing fingers, learner to read from dragon girl, forget his name) about her execution of stannis makes me hope she is blossoming into a real bad arse.

Really enjoying this season.

Only thing that took away from this last episode was danny... seriously, a room full of the most capable men the tribes could offer, and they just *sit there* while she slowly pushes over braizers that light the tent on fire? No one thinks to just run up and tackle her or anything? really? did I miss the part where they soaked the entire hut in non smellable oil or something?

as a plot device the scene works ok though, well shot in terms of visual appeal, and now she has *another* army.

One thing I don't like about this season is how spineless and inconsequential they're making Kevan Lannister.

In the books Kevan was the Lannister equivalent to Ned Stark. Quiet, dutiful, honourable, not a famous fighter but a competent leader. Not the eldest son and therefore wasn't destined to become the head of the house but stepped up when his elder brother died.

By this point in the story, Kevan had reined Cersei in and restrained her, banished Jaime from Kings Landing, and was making good progress on repairing the damage Cersei caused to the Lannister-Tyrell alliance and began restoring order to the city.

It's a well known Dothraki tradition to make things out of exploda-wood.

Speaking of normally wise people suddenly getting dumb there's also another battle looming that seems like it could be a disaster for the parties we're rooting for. Is Littlefinger keeping his cards very close to his chest or has he suddenly started making mistakes?

Yeah, while I liked seeing her fry all those guys.. I kept wondering why no one tried to stop it at all. Guess they were just like "Oh snap! She really is the-- Argh it burns, it burnnnssss!"

I think Davos is gonna be pissed with Briene about the execution comment, but he'll find out or she'll tell him about what happened to Stanis's daughter, then he'll change his tune.

So who is gonna be who in the Fellowship of the Wall? We have Jon as Frodo, Davos as Boromir, Melisandre as Gandalf, Briene as Gimli, the wildling guy as Aragorn.. Too bad Sam left, cuz every Frodo needs a Sam.

little finger is playing both sides splendidly as usual... great character that I wish got more screen time, though I suspect most of his appeal is in his mystery.

He has everyone convinced hes not even in the game, but he is probably the one behind lots of things.

Everyone who knows his true nature is dead as well, and now with him marshaling the vale to aid the north, I suspect that sansa will fall even more in with him, leaving him the perfect opportunity back stab them at the most opportune time.

Well, this definitely seems to be the season of "elevating the females," and I hazard to guess that Kevan's been diminished so as to make Cersei "stronger." At this point it wouldn't surprise me if Yara/Asha is crowned in the show.

And Sansa turns out to be Azor Ahai...

And Brienne kidnaps Tormund...and then marries him. (a common Wildling marital tradition requires that a man must kidnap his bride from her family. If he lacks the strength to kidnap her, he isn't worthy).

Kevan has done nothing of importance thus far in the show and I think thats a conscious choice - I think they looked at the mess GRM made of the books with far far too many characters and decided (I think correctly) to focuss on some, do them well and have others as background.

Kevan is background

As far as events at The Wall and his knowledge of Ramsay goes he seems remarkably uninformed. From the information that he gives us (the audience) it seems that way.

Don't worry, there's now a kickstarter ready and waiting to fix the Dorne storyline.

There's still 17 days to go and they're only $19,975,462 short of their goal.

Kind of saw that scene with Ramsay coming tbh. She was a good character. I'm a bit fearful for Rickon's wellbeing now! Dammit GoT, leave the Starks alone lol.

Don't get all the Dorne hate, though. I think GRRM put it rather well " The books will be the books, and the show will be the show" that's why they call it an adaptation.

Rickon doesn't really have any story of any importance in the book or show - I think he is just back to provide a reason for Jon, Sansa and co to get angry about when Ramsey does "stuff" to him.

re Dorne - I didn't enjoy it and the casting and plot seemed rushed and badly written.

I felt that Myranda was afraid of Ramsay but there were also some twisted feelings of love there. She knew what it meant to disobey Ramsay so rather than be a rabbit for the hounds she went along with him. I don't think, after Theon telling Ramsay about how Osha used her girly charms, Ramsay wanted to even risk trying to tame Osha as he knew she couldn't be. Osha didn't give him much of a chance either, he probably knew that she would go for the knife and it was possibly a set up with the apple.

Well, Sansa is certainly a stretch. But at this point I'm not sure why everyone in Westeros and Essos doesn't just concede to Daenerys, given how they've built her up on the show. I'm not sure if the writers are trying to atone for some of the things they did to Sansa or what, but they really seem to be laying it on a bit thick this season. Daenerys, Elleria, Cersei, Margaery, Yara, Daenerys, and yes, even Sansa. Look at how the sister is the "strong" one in all the brother-sister pairings.

Speaking of females, I was thinking about Lyanna. While anything's possible, it would make sense for them to show more about her story (i.e. not just the Tower of Joy) through Bran's visions. Maybe it's nothing, but we were introduced to her while she was on horseback. So is it possible that we may see the story of

Spoiler:
the Knight of the Laughing Tree in the show after all? That only makes sense if Lyanna is the KotLT, which is a matter of debate (although I tend to think so). It's one of my favorite tales told in the books -- and is probably the moment at which Rhaegar first took an interest in Lyanna. Probably won't happen, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Myranda was def "in lust" if not in love with Ramsey and they were both extremely sadistic - she enjoyed shooting the blonde girl rival early on and watching the dogs set on her. They were a well matched pair - he even remarked that she was not scared of him like most people.................

Osha - well he was playing by leaving the knife but he obviously quite liked a short game for once................he was evidently amused by her defiance but not enough to do a Theon on her or she amused him enough to get a quick death..

I say twisted feelings of love for the way she acted towards Sansa, was it just jealousy, I think there was more to it from that than just lust.

With Osha, if she hadn't had tried to kill him perhaps he would have toyed with her more. We'll never know. But she proved all that Theon had said about her so yeah, he didn't go for a long game.
